MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Margaret Mary Runyon, 64, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Oct. 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Cora Collier Conley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Runyon.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Stem and Lisa Robinson, both of Martinsburg, and Betty Wilson of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; two sons, Ronald Eaton and Clarence Eaton, both of Martinsburg; three sisters, Helen Williams of Caroline County, Va., Karen Medley of Fredericksburg, Va., and Doris Hilldrup of Stafford, Va.; three brothers, Junior Morris and Earl Conley, both of Caroline County, and George Conley of Fredericksburg; one half-brother, Wayne Conley of Virginia; a special nephew; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Lee Eaton and one brother, Freddie Morris.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. The Rev. Austin J. Caplinger and the Rev. Robert F. Caplinger, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Sharon Lee Greenfield
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Sharon Lee Greenfield, 62, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born May 4, 1936, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of Geraldine Stuckey Rockwell Hill of Falling Waters, W.Va., and the late Harold Lee Rockwell.
She was a builder and developer for 40 years, and a licensed broker. She worked for Corning and was the owner of Sharon's Dolls.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Harlan G. Greenfield at home; her stepfather, Wallace Hill of Falling Waters; one son, Bradley Kesecker II of Martinsburg; three daughters, Ginger Kesecker Fink of Michigan, Kimberly Kesecker Buhrman of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Heather Greenfield of Martinsburg; two sisters, Paula Yost of Kentucky and Vicky Yost of Martinsburg; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. L. Jack Rudy officiating. Burial will be in Spohr's Crossroad cemetery, Morgan County, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Robert L. Sterling Sr.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Robert L. Sterling Sr., 83, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 29, 1915, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Harry Sterling and Irene Lloyd Sterling.
He retired as a boilermaker with B&O Railroad in August 1980.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He was an avid bowler.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Walls Sterling; one son, Robert Sterling Jr. of Inwood, W.Va.; four daughters, Betty Lee Corbin of Martinsburg, Barbara Vanorsdale of Norfolk, Va., Donna Marie Seal of Baltimore and Ernestine May Kicker of Hamilton, Va.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Sterling, Guy Sterling and Vernon Sterling.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. R. Shawn Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Gaither L. Waltz
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Gaither L. Waltz, 78, of Shepherdstown, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born Aug. 16, 1920, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Ira H. and Margie Ethel Lewis Waltz.
He was retired from Pangborn in Hagerstown. He was the owner/operator of Waltz's General Repair Garage in Boonsboro. He was also employed at Johnson Ford Motors, was owner/operator of Waltz's Sunoco Service Garage; was a builder and investor and in his later years enjoyed farm life.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, E. Lucille Banks Waltz; one daughter, Carolyn A. Bryant of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two brothers, Ira Edward Waltz and Daniel R. Waltz, both of Smithsburg; one grandson and two nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood cemetery, Shepherdstown. The Rev. G. T. Schramm will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.

Eleanor M. Niner
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Eleanor M. Niner, 94, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Jan. 31. 1999, at Homewood Nursing Home, Williamsport.
Born Oct. 19, 1904, in Great Cacapon, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Ziler and Ella Haley Ziler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Niner.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
She graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School in 1921 and was the oldest living graduate of the school. She worked as an office manager for W.H. Heiston Co. until her marriage in 1929.
She is survived by four sons, Edward L. Niner of San Diego, William G. Niner of Rockville, Md., Richard T. Niner of Greenwich, Conn., and Stephen M. Niner of Louisville, N.C.; four daughters, Rosemary Estes of Winston-Salem, N.C., Patricia M. Niner of Etowah, N.C., Lois Starliper of Hagerstown, and J. Marguerite Nycum of San Diego; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. She was the last member of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. John V. DiBacco Jr. as celebrant. Interment prayers will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Margaret L. Gray, 86, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born Feb. 2, 1912, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Montie L. Grove Fizer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Gray
She was employed by Interwoven Mills.
She was a member of Rosemont Grace Brethren Church.
She is survived by one sister, Kathleen D. Wilson of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Eleanor Lacey, Mary B. Hess and Geraldine Couchman; and two brothers, Samuel Fizer and Paul Fizer.
Graveside services will be Thursday at noon at Rosedale cemetery. The Rev. Carl L. Baker will officiate.

Alta R. Parker
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Alta R. Parker, 90, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born Jan. 17, 1909 in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of the late Howard Franklin and Susie Stephens Renner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Benjamin Parker.
She is survived by one son, William K. Louden Jr., of Hollywood, Fla.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Harold Louden; two sisters, Agatha Riley and Pearl Elwood; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Paul C. Stanley will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic cemetery, Middleway, W.Va.
