MIDDLEWAY, W.Va. - Andrew "Andy" Lee Seal Sr., 60, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born July 15, 1938, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Edward Leo and Eliza Jane Buracker Seal.
He attended Charles Town High School.
He was retired from Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Harpers Ferry, W.Va, in 1998.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Inwood, Inwood, W.Va.
He is survived by his third wife, to whom he was married
20 years, Deborah "Debbie" Cheshire Seal; four daughters, Chasidy Seal and Jessica Seal, both at home, Kathy Clark of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Pamela McCurry of Union Mills, N.C.; four sons, Andrew Seal, Jr., of Florida, Richard Seal of Middleway, Edward Seal of Ranson and John Lockwood of Inwood; two sisters, Ruth Pearl of Harpers Ferry and Iva Shingleton of Winchester, Va.; and four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one infant sister and four brothers, John Seal, Donnie Seal, Charles Seal and Virgil L. Seal, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Inwood. The Rev. Devon Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home.
Nell M. Anglin
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Nell Marie Anglin, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born April 18, 1921, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Elmer M. and Etta Batt Kershner.
She was a 1939 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was retired from Martin Marietta after 27 years of service.
She was a member of Christ Reformed Church, United Church of Christ, where she was a member of Dillon Sunday School class and served as a deacon and former secretary of Consistory, was a chairwoman of the Evangelism Committee for 8 years and a former member of the Family Life Committee and Altar Guild.
She was a member of Golden Rule Chapter 69, Order of Eastern Star, she received the Grand Cross of Color from International Order of Rainbow for Girls, was a charter member of Martinsburg Lioness Club, the editor of Lioness Club newsletter and received a journalism award for excellence from the Lioness president. She was a member of Berkeley County Humane Society and parade coordinator for the Apple Harvest Parade for 16 years, received an award from the Apple Harvest Committee upon retiring. She also helped serve meals with Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Edgar Anglin, one brother, Paul W. Waters of Martinsburg; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and two great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Wilhelmina Kilpatrick.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Thomas Hartshorn will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Helen Y. Keefer
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Helen Younker Keefer, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born Oct. 16, 1917, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Hazel Weller Younker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Keefer.
She attended Trinity Episcopal Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Yetta J. Souders of Palm Coast, Fla., and Dolores Y. Creek of Hancock; two brothers, Arnold L. Younker and Lowell E. Younker, both of Hancock; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Rosedale cemetery.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
Eileen O. Royer Dorsey
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Eileen Olive Royer Dorsey, 77, died on Friday, Jan. 8, 1999 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born March 8, 1921, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Lee, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Breckenridge Royer.
She was a 1939 graduate of Gwynns Falls High School, Baltimore.
She was a homemaker in recent years. She last worked as an in-home caregiver for the sick and elderly. She had also worked as a clerk at High's convenience store, as a telephone operator with C&P telephone company and with Westinghouse Defense and Space Center.
She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II.
She was of the Quaker faith.
She was a member of A.A.R.P.
She is survived by one daughter, Julia Lynn Counselman of Sykesville, Md.; one son, Edward Thomas Dorsey of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Julian Breckenridge Royer of Ellicott City, Md.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Lee Royer, Jr.
Funeral services and burial will be private and held in Lorraine Park cemetery, Baltimore.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Daniel Nathaniel Gaynor Jr., 46, of Happy Creek, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Inova Hospital in Fairfax, Va.
Born Jan. 22, 1952, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of Daniel N. and Fannie R. "Sally" Brown Gaynor Sr. of Kearneysville.
He was a graduate of Charles Town High School.
He was employed with Shirley's Saw Mill in Middleway, W.Va. He was previously employed by Burch Manufacturing Co. in Summit Point, W.Va.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was a Methodist.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary A. Haynes Gaynor; four children, James N. Carter of West Virginia, and Christie Gaynor, James Gaynor and Joseph Gaynor, all at home; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Hill of Ranson, W.Va., and Anita M. Viands of Charles Town, W.Va.; a brother, Dale R. Gaynor of Kearneysville; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel L. Gaynor.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town. The Rev. Lester Dillow will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Clifton R. Bowers
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Clifton Rogers Bowers, 73, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at his home.
Born March 12, 1925, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Margaret Bowers.
He attended Washington County public schools.
He and his wife owned and operated The Old Stone Inn in Clearbrook, Va.; 522 Truck Stop in southern Morgan County, W.Va., and from 1985 until retirement in 1995, The Stone House Restaurant in Berkeley Springs. He also was a truck driver for many years.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Winchester, Va., and a social member of Risinger-Stotler VFW Post 4019 in Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Glenna Irene Bernhard Bowers; three daughters, Ruth Marie Bowers and Mary J. Ours, both of Berkeley Springs, and Penny S. Baxter of Atlanta; three sons, Douglas E. Bernhard and Randy L. Bowers, both of Berkeley Springs, and Lynn R. Bowers of Winchester, Va.; a sister, Helen Miller of Whitacre, Va.; two brothers, Ellsworth Bohrer and Franklin Bohrer, both of Berkeley Springs; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry R. Bowers.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Route 522 South, Berkeley Springs. Pastors Mary Gebe Stevens and Lee Prock will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs; and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church. The funeral home will be open Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
