FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Clarence Oliver "Jack" Householder, 70, of Route !, Box 112, Falling Waters, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Sept. 1, 1928, in Dry Run, Pa., he was the son of the late Clifford and Susan Edith Knable Householder.
He was retired as a carpenter for Home Construction Inc., Hagerstown. Prior to that he worked for Federal Silk Mill, Williamsport, and Drake Construction Company of Marlowe, W.Va.
He was a member of Marlowe Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Evangeline Jordan Householder; two sons, Richard Wayne Householder of Falling Waters, and Jack Jaye Householder of Williamsport; four sisters, Mable Reiff of Pinesburg, Md., Elizabeth Johnson and Nellie Beitler, both of Williamsport, and Helen Kepler of Middletown, Md.; four brothers, Newton Householder and Bill Householder, both of Marlowe, Paul Householder and Ned Householder, both of Williamsport; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Null, Myrtle Barkenfelt and Edith Hess; and two brothers, Arnold Householder and Leonard Householder.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Marlowe Assembly of God, Marlowe. The Rev. James Haskiell will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony cemetery, Hedgesville, W.Va.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague Street, Williamsport. The funeral home will be open Tuesday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.

JoAnne L. Laign
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - JoAnne L. Laign, 40, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at her home.
Born July 13, 1958, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of Jack I. and Betty Pittsnogle Lord of Martinsburg.
She was a 1976 graduate of Martinsburg High School. She was a graduate of West Virginia School of Banking, a 1998 graduate of Bankers Administration Institute; a graduate of School of Banking Operations and Technology. She attended Shepherd College in Business Administration.
She was employed at One Valley Bank, East, N.A., as vice president of operations. She previously worked at Old National Bank, was a vice president at Shenandoah Federal Savings & Loan, and worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
She was former president of WV Group 9 Bankers Association, board member and past vice president of Shenandoah Women's Center; Finance & Promotion Committee of Main Street, Martinsburg; volunteer for Martinsburg Little League, Tuscarora PTA, PASS and Adopt a Highway Programs. She participated in United Way Big Event and Day of Caring, and Women of the Moose.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Andrew M. Laign and T. Matthew Laign, both at home; one brother, Thomas J. Lord of Martinsburg; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. James D. Riley Jr., will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dow W. Albright
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Dow W. Albright, 57, of Hedgesville, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at Care Haven of Berkeley.
Born Dec. 9, 1941, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Alonzo D. and Virgie Welch Albright.
He was a member of Martinsburg Lodge 120, Loyal Order of Moose.
He is survived by a sister, Wanda Snyder of Martinsburg; a brother, Alonzo D. Albright Jr. of Martinsburg; a cousin, Dorothy Gsell, with whom he lived; an aunt; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Victor Albright, Alfred Albright, Glenville Albright, Guy Albright, Bruce Albright and Robert Albright.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Providence cemetery west of Hedgesville. The Rev. Edward E. Rogers will officiate.

Harry A. Kerns
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Harry Allen Kerns, 82, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at his home.
Born Oct. 15, 1916, in the Spohrs Crossroads section of Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late William Allen and Nettie Virginia Hovermale Kerns.
He attended Mount Airy School in Morgan County.
He was a farmer. He also worked as a technician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service, retiring in 1982 after 25 years.
He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Pious Ridge, Berkeley Springs.
He was a member of Junior Order of United American Mechanics Council 117, Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruby Ellen Michael Kerns; one daughter, Linda Lou Kerns Shock of Berkeley Springs; one son, Kenneth Lee Kerns of Berkeley Springs; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Kelly Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads cemetery in Berkeley Springs.

Grafton A. Smith
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Grafton Arthur Smith, 83, of Charles Town, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Integrated Health Services of West Virginia, Charles Town.
Born March 15, 1915, in Loudoun County, Va., he was the son of the late Fairfax and Addie Frances Redman Smith.
He was a self-employed farmer in Jefferson County, W.Va.; and previously was employed by Knott Nursing Home, Charles Town.
He was of the Episcopal faith.
He was a member of the Jefferson County Council on Aging, and attended the Senior Center in Ranson, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. James Chambly will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Lincoln, Va.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary P. Huffer
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Mary Pearrell Huffer, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at City Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Lula Keesecker Pearrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Riner Huffer.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Calvary Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Ronald W. Huffer of Inwood, W.Va.; one sister, Evelyn Orth of Hanover, Pa.; one brother, James P. Pearrell of Martinsburg; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, George R. Huffer and Gary W. Huffer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Donald Moulden officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
