Vesta L. Ott

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Vesta Lee Ott, 65, of Route 4, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at her home.

Born Jan. 13, 1933, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Bertha Viands Bagent.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Ott, in 1967.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Bagent and Bertha Hogan, both of Charles Town; one son, Terry Ott Sr. of Charles Town; two stepsons, Billy Ott and Thomas Ott, both of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two sisters, Helen Elliott of Charles Town and Ruth Silveous of Ranson, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one stepson, Donald Ott; two sisters, Josephine Brown and Louise Brown; four brothers, Floyd Bagent, Charles Bagent, Lester Bagent and George Bagent Jr.; and one grandson.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Murrill Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. Basil Day Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Murrill Hill cemetery.

The family will receive friends today, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, 970 Washington St. in Harpers Ferry.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 2015 Boyd Orchard Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Ernest K. Judy

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Ernest Karl Judy, 68, of Route 1, Box 142, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at his home.

Born June 3, 1930, in Harman, W.Va., he was the son of the late Harley Delbert and Anna Gertrude Waltz Judy.

He retired in 1996 from Fleetwood Industries in Hancock and Williamsport. Before this he was employed by American Standard in Baltimore.

He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He was a member of Calvary Temple in Williamsport.

He was a member of AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Mae Miller Judy; one son, David Allen Judy of Falling Waters; one brother, Claude Ray Judy of Hampton, Va.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harley Daniel Judy and James Oliver Judy.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Albert L. Leaf Memorial Chapel of Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony cemetery, Hedgesville, W.Va.

Friends may call Tuesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Temple, 151 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, MD 21795.

Dale W. Seal

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Dale Wolfersberger Seal, 71, of Charles Town, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Marvin E. and Anna Mae Wolfersberger Seal.

He was a graduate of Charles Town High School.

He was retired from Fairchild and Rohr in Hagerstown, where he worked as an electrician.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Navy seaman with the South Pacific Fleet during World War II.

He was a member of Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town.

He is survived by two daughters, Anne Cuevas of Marysville, Wash. and Margaret Moreland of Charles Town; two sons, Dale A. Seal of Inwood, W.Va. and Ashley Seal of Algonquin, Ill.; five sisters, Virginia Prewett of Hagerstown, Lois Ballard of Roanoke, Va., Anna Faye Miller Smith of Frederick, Md., and Doris Williams and Betty Day, both of Ranson, W.Va.; one brother, Bobby Seal of Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Lee Watson.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town. The Rev. John Alfriend will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.

Friends will be received Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to National Stroke Association, 96 Inverness Drive East, Suite 1, Englewood, CO 80012-5112.

Norman T. Price

INWOOD, W.Va. - Norman T. Price, 67, of Inwood, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born June 10, 1931, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Norman S. and Josephine Brookey Price.

He was retired from Martinsburg Lumber.

He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Martinsburg.

He is survived by his wife, Marcella J. "Marcie" Hess Price; two sons, Michael Price of Inwood and Tony Price of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; one brother, Roger L. Price of Inwood; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Tom Boggess will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends today, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Margie L. Ours

SMYRNA, Del. - Margie L. Kile Ours, 82, of Smyrna, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del.

Born Nov. 11, 1916, in Grant County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Ida Day Kile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard G. Ours Sr.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cabins, W.Va.

She was a past lioness with Inwood Lions Club in Inwood, W.Va.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Lynn Wurster of Smyrna; one son, Bernard G. Ours Jr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one sister, Alice Simpson of Gettysburg, Pa.; and two brothers, Raymond Kile and Fred Kile, both of Cabins.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Smith; and three brothers, Edgar Kile, Harman Kile and Walter Kile.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg. The Rev. Khrista Ferguson will officiate.

The family will receive friends today, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.

Cierra E.M. Jenkins

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Cierra Elizabeth Marie Jenkins, 2 1/2 months, of Hedgesville, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Sept. 22, 1998, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of William Jr. and Charlotte Brinkmeyer Jenkins.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, William Jenkins of Hedgesville; one half-sister, Ashley Jenkins of Hedgesville; and one half-brother, William Jenkins of Hedgesville.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The Rev. Eddie Edmonds will officiate.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
