BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Donald F. Dawson, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born Jan. 17, 1922, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ward McKinley Sr. and Lola O. Beeler Dawson.
He was retired from Dawson's Hardware and Equipment in 1986 and continued working for the Omps Brothers for 10 years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
He was a member of Alderton Dawson American Legion Post 60, Deford Lodge 88 A.F. & A.M., Martinsburg Lodge of Perfection 14th degree Scottish Right of Free Masonary 32nd degree in Scottish Right Of Free Masonary in Wheeling, W.Va., the Osiris Shrine in Wheeling, and Moose Lodge 1483, Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ryan Dawson; one daughter, Donna Rae Hoopengardner of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Frances Widmyer of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Robert Dawson of Bunker Hills, W.Va.; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Henry, three brothers, Medford R. Dawson, Ward M. Dawson Jr., and Kenneth C. Dawson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Mary Stevens and the Rev. Charles Frumn will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
Graveside military services will be conducted by Tri-State Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home.

Roscoe V. Johnson
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Roscoe Vernon Johnson, 65, of 166 Broadview Court, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 24, 1933 in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Boyd and Lola Johnson.
He was retired from Hoffman Chevrolet in Hagerstown.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Amvets Post 10 and Funkstown American Legion Post 211.
He is survived by his wife, Karen A. Johnson; two daughters, Meredith Handakas of Richmond, Va., and Shanna Johnson of Hagerstown; one son, Dr. Gaylen Johnson of Greensboro, N.C.; one sister, Jean Kelly of Berkeley Springs; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
Florence V. Jainniney
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Florence V. Jainniney, 72, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1926, in Hershey, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James Valley and Zelma Pitsenberger Gunnoe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Jainniney Sr., who died August 1998.
She was a homemaker but had worked for Perfection Garment Shop.
She was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by three sons, Elmer L. Jainniney Jr. of Falling Waters, W.Va., James E. Jainniney and Ronald C. Jainniney, both of Martinsburg; two brothers, Jessie C. Gunnoe of Mentor, Ohio, and Phillip G. Gunnoe of Martinsburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Ann Jainniney, and one brother, James V. Gunnoe Jr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Pentecostal Assembly of God Church, Tavern Road, Martinsburg. Pastor Keith Edwards, Pastor Arnold Brown and Pastor Tim Jainniney will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rosedale Funeral Chapel in Martinsburg.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - George L. Lutman, 50, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1948, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George L. and Elaine Fera Lutman.
He was employed with Wal-Mart as a retail sales person in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Marie Gomez Lutman; two sons, Eric Lutman of Chesapeake, Va., and Mark Lutman of Berkeley Springs, two half-sisters, JoAnne Lutman of New Jersey and Catherine Cain of Berkeley Springs; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Greenwood United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs. Burial will be private.

Jack E. Billmyer
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Jack E. Billmyer, 70, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, in City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Nov. 28, 1928, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Dorsey M. and Mary Crampton Billmyre.
He received his diesel mechanic certification from Hagerstown Junior College.
He was retired from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Young Billmyer; one daughter, Candi Keiter Johnson of Woodbridge, Va.; and two brothers, Richard D. Billmyre of Indianapolis and George Walter Billmyre of Merced, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. The Rev. John R. Yost will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

Phillip W. Hough
NAPLES, Fla. - The Rev. Phillip Warden "Johnny" Hough, 60, formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born Oct. 5, 1938, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ernest Phillip Hough and Anna Bell Stocks Hough Pearrell.
He attended Martinsburg High School, and St. Joseph's Catholic School, both of Martinsburg, W.Va.
He was employed by Mack Trucks, retiring after 35 years.
A licensed minister with Church of God Churches, he served in Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
He was a member of United Automobile Workers Union.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Gay Layman Hough; two daughters, Virginia Gay Keys of Ranson, W.Va., and Teresa Ann Hough-Gates of Naples; one son, Vincent J. Hough of Martinsburg; one sister, Margaret Ann Osbourne of Woodbridge, Va.; two brothers, Richard Lee Hough of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Ernest L. Hough of Bealton, Va.; six grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Ranson, W.Va. The Rev. William Reed and the Rev. Lee Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home.
