MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Helen Page Allen, 73, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 26, 1925, in White Post, Va., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Armita Wilson Wines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Allen.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Grove of Martinsburg; a son, Ernest Eugene Allen of Kearneysville, W.Va.; four sisters, Lucille Saville and Velma Greenfield, both of Martinsburg, Lillian Zorb of Winchester, Va., and Gloria Wines of Charles Town, W.Va.; two brothers, Thompson S. Wines of Winchester and Howard L. Wines of Charles Town; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Timberlake and Catherine Huff; and two brothers, George W. Wines and Joseph Wines.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Robert S. Hill Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Scott H. O'Heavey
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Scott Haskell O'Heavey, 45, of Cloverdale Heights, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born March 24, 1953, in San Antonio, he was the son of the late Thomas Jackson Heavey and Sybil Sue Darby Heavey Hammet.
He was a graduate of American University, Washington, D.C.
He was employed as a security officer with Fairfax County Virginia Public School System.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia L. Elbert O'Heavey; three stepchildren, Chelsea Hixson, Nathaniel Hixson and Matthew Hixson, all at home; a sister, Cheryl Hazlett of Albuquerque, N.M.; and a brother, Shaun Heavey of Bandera, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Heavey.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Richard E. Neal will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Earl D. Edwards Jr.
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Earl David Edwards Jr., 46, of Charles Town, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born May 26, 1952, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of Mae Isabella Clay Edwards of Charles Town and the late Earl David Edwards.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a son, Tyrone Konta Neal of Leesburg, Va.; six sisters, Mae Faulkner, Sheila Edwards and Sharon Edwards, all of New Jersey, Mable Currie of Ranson, W.Va., and Vera Middleton and Edith Edwards, both of Charles Town; seven brothers, Donald, Robert, Deester, Lester and Joseph Edwards, all of Charles Town, Richard Edwards of Philadelphia and Ralph Edwards of Jamaica, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Darius, David, Daniel and Michael Edwards.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson. The Rev. Arthur Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Charles Town.

Dorothy L. Bowers
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Dorothy Louise Fishel Bowers, 72, a resident of Care Haven of Berkeley Nursing Home, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, at City Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Edgar Bowers, in 1984.
She was a self-employed nurse.
She was a member of Trinity Christian Church of God.
She was a member of Womens Democratic Coalition; AARP; and a past member of Hagerstown Moose 212.
She is survived by seven grandchildren, Angela C. Argo of Hagerstown, Tammy R. Bryant, Paul J. Bryant, Amy M. Bryant, John P. Bryant and Lisa A. Bryant, all of York, Pa., and Kimberly Golden of Clear Spring; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Paul B. Bryant Sr. and Edward L. Rice; a son, Paul B. Bryant Jr.; and a daughter, Ruthie Miller.
Arrangements are by Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport.
Eunice A. Fritts
LEETOWN, W.Va. - Eunice Amanda Fritts, 89, of Leetown, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at the home of her daughter in Charles Town, W.Va.
Born Feb. 28, 1909, in Clarke County, Va., she was the daughter of the late John William and Amanda I. Franks Elyett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth T. Fritts, in 1987.
She was a homemaker. She had been employed at Knott Nursing Home, Charles Town; and Perfection Garment Co., in Ranson, W.Va.
She was a member of Leetown United Methodist Church; a former member of Women of the Church and the choir; and a Sunday school teacher.
She was a member of Leetown Farm Women's Club; and a former member and leader of Leetown Busy Workers 4-H Club.
She is survived by three children, Geraldine F. Link of Charles Town, Kenna Caton of Alexandria, Va., and John William Fritts of Kearneysville, W.Va.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two cousins.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine Harrell; and a sister, Helen Bradley.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Leetown United Methodist Church. The Rev. Paul Ritter and the Rev. Charles Frum will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens cemetery, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Floyd H. Stickley
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Floyd Haven Stickley, 80, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in Martinsburg.
Born Feb. 4, 1918, in Burlington, W.Va., he was the son of the late Floyd R. and Olive Rogers Stickley.
He attended public schools in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; He was a graduate of Chillicothe Business College in Missouri and the University of Maryland.
He retired from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, as production manager for Administration Systems.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Merchant Marine.
As a child, he attended Beaver Run Church of the Brethren, Burlington.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline Sibole Stickley; three sons, James Richard Stickley and Carl Philip Stickley, both of Martinsburg, and Jeffery Spencer Stickley of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a brother, Calvin William Stickley of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Alma J. Maisel.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale cemetery, Martinsburg. The Rev. Preston Miller will officiate.
