McKeeby

Henry John McKeeby, 75, of Osceola died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Osceola.

Survivors include one sister, Mary Jo Niver of Ann Arbor, Mich.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Sunday afternoon at Calvary Baptist Church in Osceola, with Rev. Ed Gillham officiating. Burial will be Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in Linden, Mich., under the direction of Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nix

Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Carlos Bristow Nix, 92, of Ash Flat, who died Monday at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, were held at 10 Thursday morning at Ash Flat Church of Christ, with Brien Nix Hall and Johnny Carter officiating. Burial followed at the Wiles Cemetery, under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City.

Active pallbearers were Howard Welch, Dan Orr, Mack Thompson, Sonny Powell, Ed Martin and Frank Arnold.

Honorary pallbearers were Gilbert Wolverton, Alfred Rogers, Jack Richardson, Charles Gibson, Lehman Evans and Jake Johnson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Ash Flat Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Pauline Branscum of Ash Flat; one son, Billie Ray Nix of Ash Flat; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ethel Brown of Franklin and Lorena Herron of Ash Flat. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Albine "Bine" Nix; one son; one great-grandchild; three sisters; and two brothers.

Mrs. Albrecht

Mrs. May Frances Buckley Albrecht, 57, of Hardy, formerly of Hobart, Ind., died Wednesday at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. Born in Gary, Ind., she was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star at Hardy, the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post in Hobart, the Ladies Auxiliary Fire Department at Lake Station, Ind., and was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Albrecht of the home; five sons, Glenn Albrecht of Batesville, Terry Albrecht of Germany, Joseph Albrecht of Hardy, William Albrecht of Valparaiso, Ind., and Timothy Albrecht of Lake Station, Ind.; her father and stepmother, Joe and Charlotte Buckley of Valparaiso; one sister, Shirley Sikora of Hobart; one brother, Jerry Buckley of Crown Point, Ind.; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Memorial services will be held at a later date with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Hulshizer

Earl W. Hulshizer, 73, of Williford, died Tuesday at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System hospital in Cherokee Village.

Funeral services are to be held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Tri-County's Funeral Service in Highland is in charge of arrangements.

Smith

Charles "Bill" Smith, 75, of Batesville, died Thursday at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born at Ruddle, he was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of West Baptist Church in Batesville.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Myrle Atkisson Smith of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Ann McConnell of Yardley, Pa.; and two grandsons.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 Monday afternoon at West Baptist Church in Batesville, with Bob Dailey officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery at Batesville. Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will include Tim Stark, Melvin Patterson, Buddy Carlile, Bo Clark, Bill Campbell, Andy Goodwin, James Street and Lenny Rush.

Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 4 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.

Rodrigues

Memorial services for John J. Rodrigues, 76, of 2500 Greenbriar, Jonesboro, have been scheduled for 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Rodrigues home. Rev. Jack Harris will officiate.

Rodrigues died Thursday at his home. Born in Cambridge, Mass., he moved to Jonesboro in 1995 and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He also held membership in the American Legion and the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Rodrigues retired in 1982 after working for Polaroid Corp. of Cambridge, Mass., for 31 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret "Peg" Rodrigues of the home; a daughter, Lorraine Lee of Billerica, Mass.; two sons, John "Jack" Rodrigues of Billerica, Mass., and David Rodrigues of Waltham, Mass.; a sister, Alice Mayo of Orleans, Mass., and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers.

The body is to be cremated, and burial is to be at a later time in Massachusetts.

No visitation has been planned.

The family requests that persons wishing to leave lasting memorials consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.; the Jonesboro Church Health Center at 200 West Matthews, Jonesboro; or CityTeam Ministries at 118 Burke Ave., Jonesboro.

Langford's Funeral Service of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McPherson

Funeral services for Mrs. Lorinda McPpherson, 95, of Paragould, who died Thursday, will be held this afternoon at 1:30 at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould, with Rev. Dennis Scudder officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery in Paragould.

Born in Blount County, Ala., she was a homemaker and a member of East Side Baptist Church in Paragould. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas McPherson, and two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Doyle McPherson of Flint, Mich., Harold McPherson and Gene McPherson, both of Paragould; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Messer, J.W. Dial, Troy Barlow, Charlie Cook, Steve Adams and Wayne Brightwell.

The family asks that lasting memorials be made to the East Side Baptist Church in Paragould.

Mrs. Henken

Mrs. Jeanette Marie Henken, 75, of Cherokee Village, died Friday at Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ash Flat. Born in Arlington Heights, Ill., she was a homemaker and a Methodist. She was also a member of the Indian Hills Bowling League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Henken.

Survivors include two sons, Guy Henken of Burlington, Wis., and Mark Henken of Rancine, Wis.; three daughters, Tammy Hamm of Ash Flat, Roberta Luxem and Linda Curtin, both of Racine, Wis.; one brother, Harold Vetter of Arlington Heights, Ill.; one sister, Betty Fink of Schaumburg, Ill.; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Tri-County's Funeral Services of Highland.

Mrs. Timmons

Mrs. Donna Ruth "Sue" Timmons, 61, of 517 Timmons Street, Bay, died Friday morning at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Grady Rawden Timmons.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Burdin infant

Taylor Shay Burdin was stillborn Thursday at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.

Survivors include his parents, Scotty and Darla Burdin of Paragould; one brother, Kyle Burdin of Paragould; paternal grandparents, Billy and Diane Burdin of Rector; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Mary Walden of Paragould; paternal great-grandmothers, Goldie Burdin of Kennett, Mo., and Maglene Banks of Rector.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfathers, Archie Burdin and J.E. Banks; and maternal great-grandparents, Grover Provoe, Mildred Vincent, and Baxter and Christine Walden.

A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at Shiloh Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Stevenson officiating. The service will be under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.

There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Leamon

Mrs. Goldie Leamon, 90, of Salem, Ill., formerly of Weiner, died Friday at the Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem, Ill. Born in Harrisburg, she lived in Salem, Ill., for several years. She was a retired school cook and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg.

Survivors include a daughter, Ilah Mae Bryant of Salem, Ill.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Leamon, a son, a brother and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner, with Dr. Lou Bryant officiating. Services will be under the direction of Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home of Salem, Ill. Local arrangements are under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Swanner

Mrs. Hazel Swanner, 74, of Bay, died Friday morning at Rose Skill Care Nursing Center in Jonesboro where she had lived for the past few years.

Born in Memphis, she lived most of her life in the Bay area where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay. For several years she operated the Yellowjacket Cafe in Bay. She retired in 1988 with 17 years of service as the food service supervisor for Rose Care Nursing Center in Trumann.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Shoopman of Cherokee Village; one son, Butch Swanner of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Swanner, five brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Sunday afternoon in the memorial chapel of Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will include Eddie Swanner, David Swanner, Todd Foster, Paul Addison Jr., James Pulley and Sean O'Donnell.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
