Roland Joseph Domangue Sr.
Roland Joseph Domangue Sr., 61, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1999.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Roland Domangue Jr. of Chauvin; four daughters, Mrs. Billy (Penny) Simmons and Rochell Domangue, both of Houma, Mrs. Robin (Maria) Babin of Bourg, and Nicole Domangue of Hahnville; four brothers, Harold Domangue of Holden, Edward "Ed" Domangue Jr. and Jessie Domangue, both of Chauvin, and Errol Domangue; two sisters, Mrs. Irvin (Dorothy) Russo and Mrs. Robert (Rose) Dillard, both of Houma; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Thibodeaux Domangue; his parents, Edward and Laternia Lirette Domangue Sr.; one brother, Ronald Domagnue; and two sisters, May Domangue and Annie D. Schmalke.
He was a retired boat captain for Pellegrin Towing Company and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Nelson Paul Foret
Nelson Paul Foret, 89, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, died at noon Monday, Oct. 11, 1999.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with interment in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery

He is survived by his wife, Irene Josephine Chauvin Foret of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Elvira Autin Foret; and two brothers, Murphy and Joseph Foret.
He was the retired co-owner of Nelson & Lee Restaurant and Bar, an usher and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any charity.
Gabrielle Nicole "Gabby" Hebert
Gabrielle Nicole "Gabby" Hebert, 13, a native and resident of Gray, died at 6:42 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1999.
Visitation was scheduled from 8 a.m. to funeral time today at Bayou Blue Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her parents, Roy and Meliss Babin Hebert; her stepfather, Tommy Duplantis; her grandparents, Ronald and Pat Babin, and Shirley Arcement; and one sister, Amber Faith Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ike Hebert.
Catherine Jackson
Catherine Jackson , 71, a native and resident of Houma, died at 1:23 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Community Funeral Home. Wake services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Dismissal services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Southdown Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph and Harry Twiggs Jr., and Lionel Lyons; one daughter, Grace Twiggs Wallace; one sister, Elizabeth Bradley; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jackson ; her parents, Buddy Raymond and Viola Turner; one daughter, Emily Jackson ; one brother, Thomas Green; and one sister, Doretha Saulsberry.
She was a stewardess and a member of the Baptist faith.
Theresa Adams Lirette
Theresa Adams Lirette, 92, a native of Chackbay and resident of Thibodaux, died at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1999.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Irvin, Daniel and Richard Lirette; three daughters, Yvonne Tabor, Gladys Griffin and Shirley Benoit; one sister, Eunice Campbell; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clement Lirette; her parents, Jonnie and Victoria Trosclair Adams; three sons, Norman, David and Herbert Lirette; one daughter, Anna May Lirette; one brother, Rene Adams Sr.; two stepbrothers, Dennis and Clemile Trosclair; two stepsisters, Clemile Martin and Eva Pack; one grandchild, not named; and two great-grandchildren, not named.
Mickey Anthony Anselmi Sr.
Mickey Anthony Anselmi Sr., 37, a native and resident of Cut Off, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. today to funeral time Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Pearl Esponge Anselmi; one son, Mickey "T-Mick" Anselmi Jr.; one daughter, Celena Anselmi; three sisters, Ellen Decuir, Amanda Martinez and Lois Dotson; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warmosh "W.J." "Black" Anselmi; two brothers, Juan and Clarence Anslemi; and his grandparents, Venice and Enola Esponge, and Juan and Ada Anselmi.
Julius Paul Belanger
Julius Paul Belanger, 83, a native of Bourg and resident of Houma, died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with interment in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery

He is survived by his wife, Stella Mae Rhodes Belanger of Houma; four daughters, Kay B. Bunn and Ellen Belanger, both of Houma, Suzanne B. Canalizo of New Orleans, and Mary B. Anderson of Metairie; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Alzina Pitre Belanger; one brother, Louis Belanger; and two sisters, Margaret "Dussy" Hebert and Milda Redden.
He was a retired employee of Schlumberger after 26 years, a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Kenneth Ray Blanchard
Kenneth Ray Blanchard, 42, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999.
Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in New Hope Cemetery.
He is survived by four brothers, Sidney, Lawrence Sr., Larry Sr. and Roy Blanchard Jr.; and one sister, Patsy Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mable Boudreaux Blanchard Sr.

Durock Joseph Hebert
Durock Joseph Hebert, 71, a native of Galliano and resident of Mandeville, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be noon until funeral time Tuesday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Mass will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with interment in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
He is survived by one daughter, Roxie Hebert Bruno; two sons, Durock "D.J." J. Jr. and Jeremy A. Hebert; one sister, Victoria Hebert Thomassie; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Romanda Kiffe and Cleveland J. Hebert; and one sibling, Nutsey J. Hebert.
Myrtle Cecile Legendre Maclean
Myrtle Cecile Legendre Maclean, 82, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:15 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with interment in St. John Cemetery
in Thibodaux.
She is survived by three sons, Paul and Dale Maclean, both of Houma, and Mark Maclean of Houston, Texas ; one brother, Lloyd Legendre of Thibodaux; three sisters, Mary Caillouet and Elsie Taylor , both of Thibodaux, and Ida Mae Neal of Odesa, Texas ; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardell George Maclean; her parents, Gustave and Adela Mire Legendre; two brothers, Irving and Gus Legendre; and four sisters, Ruth and Mabel Timmerman, Theresa Legendre and Rita Small.
She was a retired school teacher of Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish and the Houma-Thibodaux Diocese and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Clifford "Clay" Matherne
Clifford "Clay" Matherne, 90, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial in Bisland Cemetery
in Bourg.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Dupre Matherne; four sons, Colton, Ashley and Clifford Matherne Jr., and Tommy Melerine; two daughters, Mrs. Joel (Diana) Lapeyrouse and Mrs. Emile (Sheryl) Collins; two stepdaughters, Doris Hebert Chauvin and Adeine Hebert Bruce; two stepsons, Murry and Leroy Hebert; one sister, Rita Neil; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucina Neil Matherne; his parents, Serphine and Virgina Bourg Matherne; one son, Calvin Matherne; one brother, Magnus Matherne; three sisters, Mandy Naquin, Clara "Fie" Neil and Lucria "LuLu" Hutcherson; one grandson, Troy Jude Lapeyrouse; and one granddaughter, Carla Matherne.
He was a retired fisherman.
