James “Philip” Jones

James “Philip” Jones, 64, of Bella Vista passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born November 14, 1952 in Tullahoma, TN to Claude Jones, JR and Rosie Mae (Miller) Jones.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vera; and brother, Richard.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Jones; daughter, Melissa Wallace-Jones; son, Jeff Jones; brothers: Vernon Jones and Claude Jones, both of Tennessee; sisters: Mae Bonnie of Duncanville, TX, Jewel Salas of Dallas, TX, and Karen and Randy Barkley of Tyler, TX; in-laws: Joyce Barnett and Johnny and Betty Wammack; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00am at Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonville.

Kim Valerie Rinker

Kim Valerie Rinker, 59, of Grove, Oklahoma died September 14, 2017 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born January 7, 1958 in Woodward, Oklahoma the daughter of Lenora and Glen Dale Rinker.

She graduated from Nursing School at Oklahoma City School of Nursing with an RN and worked as a nurse for 20 years.

Kim loved the water and being outside. She enjoyed playing tennis, riding horses, and tending to her flowers. Kim was strong in her faith in God.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Mick Rinker.

Kim is survived by her mother, Lenora (Donald) Weber of Bella Vista; daughter, Sharee (Drew) Dunham of Washington; nephews, Caleb (Shelby) Rinker and their children, Karter and Ryleigh, Chad (Stephanie) Rinker and their daughter Zoey; neice, Gabrielle Rinker, and many close family and friends.

A memorial service will be Thursday, September 21 at 11am at Village Baptist Church in Bella Vista.

Donations can be to the Operation Christmas Child Fund at Village Baptist Church, 380 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista, AR 72715.

Dolores Taylor Beene

Dolores Taylor Beene, 83, of Rogers died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her home. She was born July 11, 1934 in Richland Valley, Arkansas the daughter of Dollie Cash and Arthur Taylor.

She loved spending quality time with her family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church Rogers. She was a teacher for over 30 years, including over 20 years with the Rogers School District. She retired from teaching in 1997.

She and her husband moved to Northwest Arkansas 39 years ago from Sherwood. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dolores is survived by her husband Larry Beene, whom she married July 22, 1962, two sons; Robert Beene, of Centerton, Jeff Beene and his wife Tammy, of Caddo Mills, Texas, two daughters; Sandra Boen and her husband Jeff, of Fayetteville, Marla Beene, of Akron, Iowa, one sister; Quindora Coe and her husband William, of Batesville, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Bentonville visitation will be Monday from 5-7 at Epting Funeral Home Bentonville.

Snowball visitation will be Tuesday from 10:30 until 11:30 at Snowball Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 with Pastor Andy Treat officiating. Singers will be: Richard Roberts, Crystal Wilson, Harold Hendrix, Emily Hendrix, and Dois Taylor.

Pallbearers will be: Wilson Boen, Ted McGill, Kaleb Beene, John Kelly, Benny Drewery, Melvin Graves, Cris Loggins, Kris Merrell, and Johnny Hinchie.

William Earl Edwards

William Earl Edwards, 44, of Bentonville, AR, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. He was born in Bentonville on September 19, 1972, to Bill Ewalt and Sandi Wall.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Ewalt, and his grandfather, Earl Edwards.

Survivors include: His partner, Chadwick Turner, of Bentonville, his mother, Sandi Edwards of Eureka Springs, his Grandmother, Wanda Edwards, of Bella Vista, his Uncle (big brother) Ron Edwards and his wife, Natalie Edwards; their children, Dixon Edwards of Tampa, Fl, and Hunter Edwards, of Wells, ME, his late father's wife, Summer Ewalt, and her son, Sean Ewalt (his little brother). His "boy"Tucker Dan. There are many, many friends whom William considered his family, as well.

God blessed William with the gift of singing! He started performing at 6 years old. He loved his years at Bentonville High School because of Accapella Choir and Chorus. He sang at many weddings, fairs, and entered many singing competitions.

He performed at Silver Dollar City, in Branson, MO for 7 years. There, he was the headliner at The Echo Hollow Show, and was billed as "Silver Dollar City's Own Son".

His beautiful songs are still played on the Christmas train ride.

He recorded many albums, some in Nashville. Other career highlights were; opening for Roy Clark, George Strait and Patty Loveless.

William sought change in his life of performance, so he enrolled in Cosmetology school at Toni and Guy in Dallas. He became a respected stylist and returned to Bentonville and opened Gorilla Salon with his dear friend, Phyllis Shultz. He developed his own product line, taught cosmetology school, and became a platform artist for Scrupples.

William was a dog lover, and amazed all who observed his dog training skills. He was involved in many local charities, like Havenwood in Bentonville, Horses for Healing and Lives Under Construction in Lampe, MO.

Once again, William started to plan for a career change, by recently going to college. His love of entertaining and cooking were lead him to culinary college and the introduction of a cooking blog.

His plans were not fulfilled, as he began to suffer from Bipolar Disorder. Despite seeking the best medical help, he was unable to find relief from his suffering.

Eric Andrew Roberts

Eric Andrew Roberts, 45, of Springdale died November 1, 2017. He was born July 16, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Eric enjoyed setting up his Christmas lights display, being outdoors, biking, hiking and working with computers. He found joy in spending time with his family.

Eric is survived by his wife, Donna Roberts; his parents, Diane and Austin Roberts; his father, Donn (Janet) Rogers; one son, Kenton; one daughter; Katie Roberts; two siblings, Stephen and Sean Rogers; brother-in-law, Randy (Vicki) Watkins; sister-in-laws, Denise (Mike) Wright and Denan (Galen) Cagle; grandparents, Norman (Ruth) Rogers and many loving family and friends.

A celebration of Eric’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 11th in the chapel at Cross Church Springdale with a reception to follow in room N133.

Clarence “Buck” Edward Martin

Clarence “Buck” Edward Martin, 80, of Rogers died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1937 in Jasper County, Indiana the son of Daisy Woods and Lewis Martin.

He served in the US Army. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He loved spending time in the outdoors, especially camping. He attended Rogers Assembly of God Church.

He was employed and retired after 30 years of service with Blaw-Knox in Indiana. He then went to work for JB Hunt for many years. After moving to Northwest Arkansas in July 1988, he was a supervisor at Kennametal for many years. He was a lawn attendant for the Rogers School District, he formerly retired as a Tyson Foods as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by: by his parents, four brothers; Gene, Harry, George, and Marion, one sister; Martha Rice, one daughter; Diana Ferguson, and one son-in-law; David Clark Strawmier.

Buck is survived by: his wife of 55 years; Rosella (Eisele) Martin, whom he married October 13, 1962, two sons; Robert Martin, of Rogers, Daniel Martin and his wife Misty, of Missouri, one daughter; Donna Strawmier, of California, one sister; Juanita Oliver, of Indiana, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, November 3 from 9:30-10:30am at Rogers Assembly of God Church. Following the visitation a celebration of “Buck’s” Life will begin at 10:30am.

Memorials may be sent to: Rogers First Assembly of God Church to the “Food Pantry.”
