Harold Faulkner

October 5, 1925 - February 19, 2011

Harold Faulkner, 85 of El Dorado, AR; died on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Hudson Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

Born on October 5, 1925 in Union County; he was the son of Cyrus and Stella Mae Fugett Faulkner. Harold was a Navy veteran of World War II served on the Lt. Cruiser USS Springfield at Okinawa. He retired after23 years as a millwright and boiler operator from Cooper Industrial Products and was a member of the United Rubber, Cork, Linoleum, and Plastic Workers Union. Harold was a member of Marrable Hill Chapel.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bob Cyrus Faulkner, and his wife of 63 years Lorene Myrtle Bridges Faulkner.

Survivors are a son Larry (Mary Ann) Faulkner of El Dorado, a daughter Kathy (James) Clements of Frierson, LA, sisters Mary Kate Turner, Peggy Lynette Lowery, Bobbie Rae Gathright all of El Dorado Ima Jean McCullough of Shreveport and Otis Mae Womack of Bernice, brothers Ralph E. Faulkner of Camden, Jimmy D. Faulkner of Homer, Andrew Fred Faulkner of Smackover, and Wallace Arnold Buddy Faulkner of Haynesville. Along with grandchildren Mark Faulkner, Julie Pauline Templeton, Michael (Megan) Reynolds, Zachary Wayne Faulkner, Heather Marie (Kevin) Smith, and great grandchildren Ethan Faulkner, Dalton Templeton, Drew Reynolds and Cadence Reynolds.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Arlington Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Inmon officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mae June Jenkins

September 20, 1945 - September 30, 2011

Mae June Jenkins, 86 of Victoria, TX; died on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, TX following a brief illness.

Born on September 20, 1925 in Walworth, South Dakota; she was the daughter of John and Christine Kubier Kulm. June was a homemaker and a former member of Northwest Baptist Church in El Dorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Florence Waul, brothers Franklin, Tom, Kenny, and Robert Kulm and her husband John Theodore Jenkins.

Survivors are a son Ted and wife Cindy Jenkins Jr. of Victoria, TX, daughters Caroline Witten of Boise City, OK and Chris and husband Butch Chance of Park City, KS, a brother Arnold Blumhardt of Sacramento, CA, along with 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 am, Monday, October 3, 2011 at Arlington Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Inmon officiating. Memorials may be made to the Donors choice.

Rebecca Louise Kincaid

November 13, 1953 - October 2, 2012

Rebecca Louise Kincaid, age 58, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Tuesday October 2, 2012 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado after a lengthy battle with ALS. She was born on November 13, 1953 in Midland, MI to Donald L. and Jeanne Louise (Hepner) Leman.

Rebecca graduated from Southern Arkansas University with BBA and was an accountant for Steve Kincaid, CPA. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Donald S. Leman and sister-in-law, Susan Leman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steve Kincaid of Magnolia, one daughter, Cathy Horton of Magnolia, stepson, Steven L. Kincaid of Little Rock, AR, stepdaughter, Adrienne Murphy and husband, Brett of Fayetteville, AR, two sisters, Miriam Leman of Magnolia, AR and Tracy L. Johnson and husband, Rusty of Little Rock, AR. one brother, Daniel C. Leman of West Branson, MO., two grandsons, Donald James “Jamie” Neel of Magnolia, AR and Davis Murphy of Fayetteville, AR. one granddaughter, Autumn Marie Cogbill of Magnolia, AR., one nephew, Steven A. Cabala of Midland, MI, two nieces, Ann H. Cabala of Magnolia, AR, Rebecca J. (Leman) Gleason and husband, Ron of Hawaii,father in law, Bill Hedden of Magnolia, Ar.,extended family and a host of friends.

Services will be at 11:00am Friday, October 5, 2012 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Kelso officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist in Magnolia, John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR or charity of donor’s choice.

Mary Elizabeth Armer

July 13, 1912 - July 7, 2011

Mary Elizabeth Armer, 98 of Magnolia died Thursday, July 8, 2011 at the Magnolia Health & Rehab following a lengthy illness.

Born July 13, 1912 in El Dorado she was the daughter of John Thomas and Dora Viola Ritchey Goley. Mrs. Armer was a member of the Plain Dealing Baptist Church and a former member of Galilee Baptist Church and Marrable Hill Chapel in El Dorado.

Nanny was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved her family and enjoyed each of them and made each feel like they were special. She was a member of the Kiwanis in El Dorado and received many service awards from them. Mary was known in El Dorado as the cookie lady. Her homemade tea cakes were graciously received by the postal employees, courthouse employees and other employees in El Dorado businesses; her very own way of saying thank you for their services. She loved playing cards with friends and family. Many good memories have been instilled in all her children and grandchildren. Five generations of LOVE & JOY passed down as a heritage to all who follow. We will never forget and we will keep you close in our hearts forever.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband in 1983, Robert L. Armer, her four siblings, two great-grandchildren and her son-in-law, James Harold Reeves.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Reeves of Magnolia and a son, Bob Armer and his wife Janet of Gassville, AR. Also surviving are grandchildren, Diana Roberson (Jimmy) of Russellville, Louis Dendy (Karen) of Bismarck, ND, Tammy Armer Smith (Scott) of Benton, LA, Tonya Armer Winders (Brian) of Hendersonville, TN and Robert W. Armer, Jr. (Stacie) of Benton, LA and 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Winders officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until service time at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.

Ora Eileen Lewis
June 9, 1927 - July 21, 2012

Ora EileenMitchell Lewis, age 85 of Old Union, passed from this life on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home in El Dorado. She was born on June 9, 1927 in Calhoun County, Arkansas to the late Johnnie and Mae (Roberson) Mitchell. Ora was a retired cafeteria worker of Union school and was an avid Cyclone basketball fan. She especially enjoyed being outdoors whether she was raking leaves or working in her flower beds. Ora was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister and friend, whom will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Freeman Lewis; one brother Kenneth Mitchell; two sisters, Lucille Jacobs and Loda Jerry.

Those left to cherish her memory include; one daughter, Vicky Langley and her husband Jimmy of Wesson, AR; one son, Steve Lewis and his wife Sandy of Houston, TX; three granddaughters, Beth Langley, Cindy Miller and her husband Randall, Kimberly Evans and her husband Michael all of El Dorado; two grandsons, Nathaniel Lewis and his wife Glenda, Jeremiah Reed all of Houston; six great grandchildren, Hannah Miller, Claire Eileen Evans and Jake Evans all of El Dorado, Also, Kristen, Tyler and Chandler all of Houston; one sister, Helen Halsey and her husband James of El Dorado; one brother, James Mitchell and his wife Pat of Magnolia.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Union Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Pelz and Bro. Brian Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Lewis, Jeremiah Reed, Randall Miller, Michael Evans, Johnny Halsey,Richard White and Jake Evans Jr Pallbearer.

Memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church for Children’s Ministries.

William George Cardinal

March 30, 1945 - October 21, 2012

William George “Willie” Cardinal, age 67 of El Dorado, passed from this life on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home in El Dorado. He was born on March 30, 1945 in North Adams, Massachusetts to the late George Leo and Bernadetta Ella (La Bonte) Cardinal.

Willie was a retired auto Mechanic and body man, working at numerous body shops around El Dorado. He loved working on antique car restorations and was a member of the South Arkansas Kruizers, Classic Car Club. Willie was a member of the Murmil Hights Baptist Church where he enjoyed listening to his pastor and fellowshipping with his church family. He also enjoyed being outdoors whether he was hunting or fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Pat Blanger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Wanda Cardinal of El Dorado; one daughter, Billie Jo Long of El Dorado; three sisters, Leslie Cothron and husband Travis of Smackover, Ella Butterfield and husband Robert of Mohawk, NY, Tammy Prather and husband Jory of Monroe, WA; two granddaughters, Isabella Long and Natalee Speer both of El Dorado; four step children, Steven May and wife Cindy of Palm Springs, CA, Christopher May of Victorville, CA, Denise Reinhart of Victorville, CA and Melissa McShane of Yucca Valley, CA; seven step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; Mother in law, Lorena Flenniken of El Dorado. He is also survived by his caregiver, Catherine Heard, who took care of him for several years and was a true angel at heart. Also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Smith Officiating. A fellowship reception will take place immediately following the service at the Cardinal Home, 627 Garland Ave in El Dorado.

A visitation hour will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the memorial service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice or to the Union County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 148, El Dorado, AR 71731.
