Adam Yedwabnick
Adam Paul Yedwabnick, 18, of Oakdale died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Oakdale. He was a student.
He is survived by his parents, Paul Yedwabnick of Oakdale, Marie and Paul Muniain of Ceres; brothers, Ian Scott Hunt of Michigan and Joshua Glendenning of Ceres; step-sister, Shelby Muniain of Modesto; brothers, Ian Scott Hunt of Michigan and Joshua Glendenning of Ceres; and grandmother Jane Yedwabnick of Oakdale.
Graveside service was held on Monday, Oct. 13 at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 12 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.

Perry Spaman
Perry Eugene Spaman, 90, of Oakdale died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002 at his home.
A native of Michigan, he had resided in Oakdale for 60 years. He worked as a public accountant for 45 years. He was a charter member of Oakdale Golf and Country Club and Charter member of Oakdale Lions Club.
He is survived by his children, Alan Spaman of Modesto, Marilyn Spaman of Oakdale and Alice Micheltorena of Woodland; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Spaman.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at Community Christian Reformed Church in Oakdale. Services will conclude at the church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.

Marilyn Miller
Marilyn S. (Mohundro) Miller, 63, of Oakdale died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002 at her residence.
Mrs. Miller was a native of Cairo, Ill. She had resided in Oakdale for seven years. She worked as a medical staff assistant at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert Miller; children, Greg Miller of San Jose and Melissa Calisher of Modesto; siblings, Myra Neeley of Cairo, Ill., Jerry Bradley of Midlothion, Ill., Don Bradley of Morton, Ill. and Larry Mohundro of Cape Giradeau, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gladys Mohundro.
Services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon.
Place of interment is San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.

William Maxey
William Wayne Maxey, 82, of Grass Valley died on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002.
A native of New Mexico, Mr. Maxey had resided in Oakdale for 50 years, prior to moving to Grass Valley two years ago. He served as a medic in France and Germany during W.W.II. He received his teaching credential from UCLA and taught for two years in Calexico. Mr. Maxey was a science teacher for Oakdale High School for 30 years. He was an accomplished oil painter.
He is survived by his sister, Beatrice Catherina; two nieces, three great nieces and two great-great nieces.
A private memorial service was conducted on Sunday, Aug. 18 at his home in Grass Valley.
Alberta Laboca
Alberta P. Laboca, 87, of Oakdale died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002 at Oak Valley Hospital.
Mrs. Laboca was a native of Kentucky. She lived in Oakdale for 61 years. She worked at Oakdale Poultry for 30 years. She attended the Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Harrison and Albert Harrison, both of Oakdale; brothers, Albert Parrock of Kentucky and Jim Parrock of Ohio; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.

Shelli Fizzell
Shelli Renee Steiger Fizzell, 37, of Oakdale died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002 in Modesto.
A native of Orange County, she had resided in Stanislaus County for 30 years. She worked as a manicurist for three years.
She is survived by her husband Perry Fizzell of Oakdale; daughter, Marissa Steiger of French Camp; parents Jesse and Sharon Drapeau of Washington; brother, Steven Gerhardt of Ceres and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thurb Hoyt of Winton.
Services were conducted on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at Winton District Cemetery.

Manuel Bustillos
Manuel Garcia Bustillos, 80, of Riverbank died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Oak Valley Care Center, Oakdale.
Mr. Bustillos was a native of Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico. He resided in Riverbank for 41 years. He worked at Tri-Valley Growers #7 for 26 years. He was a member of Apostolic Assembly, Empire.
He is survived by his wife, Concepcion Bustillos of Riverbank; children, Lucy Carlos of Merced and Rachel Bustillos of Riverbank; sister, Eva Martinez of Madera and five grandchildren.
An evening service will be held on Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at Apostolic Assembly in Jesus Christ Church, Riverbank. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 28 at the church.

Val Taber
Val Dosa Taber Jr., 66, of Riverbank died Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at his home.
Mr. Taber was a native of Martinez. He lived in Riverbank for 40 years. He was a deputy sheriff for the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department for 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He belonged to S.T.A.R.S., Veterans of Foreign Wars, Riverbank and the Riverbank Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Lula M. Taber of Riverbank; step-children, Rodney McCurdy of Oakdale and Mary A. Drake of Sacramento; sisters, Aloha Carrco of Ceres and Lorraine Murnane of Pennsylvania; 14 step-grandchildren, 25 step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great grandchild.
Services were held on Tuesday, June 17 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Visitation was held.

Maria Mendez
Maria D. Mendez, 73, of Riverbank died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003 at her daughter's home.
A native of Mexico, she lived in Riverbank for one year. She was a homemaker. She attended St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Carlos Mendez of Mexico, Manuel Mendez of Los Angeles, Andres Mendez of Washington, Carmen Mendez of Mexico, Maria Munguia of Riverbank; sister, Socorro Alvarez of Mexico; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Rosary was said on Thursday, Aug. 7 at Riverbank Memorial Chapel. Mass was said Friday, Aug. 8 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church. Burial to be in Mexico. Visitation was held.

Linda Weller
Linda Lee Weller, 50, of Oakdale died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at Oak Valley Hospital.
She was a native of Long View, Wash. and spent most of her life in Southern California. She lived in Oakdale for one year. She worked as a Rehabilitation Nurses Assistant and a Certified Nurses Assistant for 20 years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - East Oakdale. She also enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Weller of Oakdale; sons, Rudy Rangel of Modesto, Richard Rangel of Fontana; daughter, Ruth Weller of Oakdale; parents, Arther and Barbara Jarvy of El Monte; brothers, Lorrin Jarvy of Monrovia, James Jarvy of Victorville; sisters, Debra Benton of Diamond Bar, Diana McNamee of Shingle Springs, Sherri Pringle of Victorville; grandmother Joy Whitby of Oceanside; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her bothers Richard and Robert Jarvy.
Services will be conducted on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - East Oakdale.
