Maura Nadel, 90
Maura Nadel passed away on Sunday, September 21, at Porter Hospice in Englewood, Colorado.
Maura was born on February 4, 1924 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Ignatius Augustine McEwan and Jane Mc Ewan. Her parents returned to Scotland a couple of years later with Maura and her older brother and sister.
At a very early age, she won contests in Italian, earning her two trips to the Vatican with her father.
After school years, Maura taught herself to perform various secretarial tasks. She was a very skilled typist, able to type 110 wpm, and was recognized as an accomplished medical transcriptionist. She also was a strong businesswoman, being very instrumental in the opening of her family's furniture business, Nadel's Furniture, in Dover, Delaware.
She worked at Kent General Hospital, in Dover, Delaware and for Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury, Md.
She then relocated to Denver, Colorado, to be closer to her family. In Denver, Maura worked at the National Jewish Hospital and at Rose Medical Center, from which she retired.
In spite of the many years Maura spent living in the United States, she only called Scotland "Home." She was very proud of her heritage, and loved to hear Scottish and Irish songs, and the sound of the bagpipes.
Maura was a dedicated fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. She was also a Phillies fan, as long as they weren't playing the Rockies! She was a whiz at crosswords, loved to read, and was an avid Jeopardy fan.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1969, by her son, Edmund, in 1993, and by two brothers, John and William McEwan.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret, of Glasgow, Scotland; by three daughters, Anne (Jim) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Jeanette (Dan) of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Denise, with whom she resided in Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by three sons, Joseph John of Middletown, Delaware; Gerald (Debbie) of Smyrna, Delaware and Brian, of Traveler's Rest, South Carolina. Maura also leaves behind several nieces and nephews in Scotland and Ireland, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Age 92, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Parkview Nursing Home.
Born in Morea, PA, Paige was the son of the late John and Katherine (Sippie) Becker. He attended St. David's College and Cal Poly Fullerton College and worked as a car salesman. He was an avid golfer and played at Three Little Bakers Golf Course. His daughters, Michelle and Denise, predeceased him.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Linda Becker and their son Joseph; and his former spouse and caregiver, Helen R. Woods.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20th at 11 AM at the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Stanley J. Babiarz Jr., 73
LEWES — Stanley J. Babiarz Jr. of Lewes died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 73.
Mr. Babiarz was a retired pharmacist in Wilmington before moving to Lewes in 1994.
He loved bingo, cards, slots, fishing, and playing the piano.
Mr. Babiarz was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Lewes, and a past member of the Eagle Men's Fraternity Club, Lewes Senior Center and Cape Henlopen Senior Center.
Services will be noon Thursday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call two hours earlier. The Rev. Mark Connelly will officiate.
Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Kasii Haith departed this world to be with our God May 7, 2014. He was 4 years old.
Services will be Saturday, May 17 at 11:00 am at the Greater Life Christian Church, 240 Headstart Lane, Dover, Delaware.

Pritchett, Stacey Lynn
Stacey Lynn Pritchett of Harrington, Delaware departed this life May 11, 2014, at the age of 50. Stacey was born July 18, 1963 in Dover, Delaware to Agnes Taylor and the late Clarence May.
He was employed as a construction worker and was a great outdoorsman. He was most comfortable fishing, but loved all types of hunting. Stacey was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Stacey was preceded in death by his father, Clarence May, his grandparents Howard and Erma Pritchett, and brother, Kevin Hutchins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Agnes Taylor; step-father Ralph Taylor Sr., brothers, Ralph Taylor Jr. (Jean Taylor) of Dover, and Gregory Prichett (Dawn Prichett) of Felton; sisters, Victoria Berry of Wilmington, Valerie Adams (Harley Adams) of Frederica, Annalee Johnson of Woodside, and Crystal May of Felton; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hutchins of Smyrna; two special aunts, Jean Benson of Wilmington, and Josephine May of Frederica; two loving cousins Kristine and Connie Perry of Harrington; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 pm. Interment will follow services at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Mary E. Gotwalt, 65, Magnolia, passed away Tuesday May 13, 2014 at Kent General Bay Health Hospital, Dover, Delaware
She was born on January 16, 1949 in Farmington, Delaware to the late Ira T. and Mary Fluharty Jenkins.
She was a home maker, enjoy bowling, nascar, baseball, and was evolved in special olympics and with special children.
Three brothers Johnny, Thomas, and Howard Ira Jenkis, also sister a baby girl Jenkins..

She is survived by Husband, Keith L. Gotwalt of Magnolia Son, Kenneth Bergold Jr. of Magnolia. Brothers, David Jenkins of Magnolia, Clarence and his wife Betty Jenkins of Milford, .
