Haass, George Wayne

George "Wayne" Haass, Sr., age 69, of Greenwood, DE. passed away on Aug. 15, 2008 at his home in Greenwood.

He was born in Milford, DE a son of the late George and Irene Haass. In addition to his parents he is also proceded in death by a great grandson.

George or Wayne as he was known as a young man, proudly served his country in the US Navy and later worked in sales most of his life. His family will remember him for his enjoyment of saltwater fishing, taking photographs and sitting at Spencer's Bazaar. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He dearly loved his family, life, and made every day count.

He is survived by his wife Pamela J. Haass of Greenwood. His stepmother Barbara Haass of Annapolis. His sons: Richard Haass of Camden, Ron Haass of Dover, Carl Haass of Union Bridge, MD. and George W. Haass, Jr. of Smyrna. His daughters: Donna Nicodemus of Boonsboro, MD. and Irene Bienick of Pennsylvania. A brother Ron Haass of Newark. His sisters: Barbara Spruill of Camden, Cyndi Haass of Tennessee, a stepsister, Julie of Annapolis. His grandchildren: Jennifer, Meg, Sara, Victoria, Patty, Christina, Amber, Stephanie, Kimberly, Sarah, Vincent, Richard, Gage, and Patrick. Three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him. His special girls, Goldie, Sadie, and Ginger.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St. Laurel, DE 19956 on Aug. 19, 2008 at 12:30PM, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Wayne Musgrove will officiate. Internment will be in Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro, where he will receive Full Military Honors.

James William Parker

"JP"

James W Parker, 76, of Bowers Beach, Delaware passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. He was born to the late James Parker and Bessie Wilcutts on December 18, 1936 in Leipsic, Delaware.

He was a member of the Delaware National Guard, Leipsic Volunteer Fire Company, American Legion Post #7 in Harrington, and Union Lodge #7. He served 20 years with the Delaware State Police retiring at the rank of Lieutenant in 1978. He was a charter boat Captain and owned "JP's Wharf and Restaurant" in Bowers.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Charles E. Parker. Survivors include: Maureen Reb, sister, and her husband, Ronald, of Dover, Clara Russell of Milford, Kevin Reb of Frederica, Robert Reb of Middletown, Pete Russo and his wife Roberta, of Bowers Beach, Sarah and Emilie Russo of Bowers Beach.

Friends and family may visit at Trader Funeral Home, Lotus Street, Dover, Delaware, Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Barratt's Chapel. Family and friends are requested to dress casual for the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jimmy's memory are requested to be sent to the Delaware State Police Museum, P. O. Box 430, Dover, Delaware 19903.

Picklo, Elinore Christine

Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Wilmington, DE

On May 14, Elinore was reunited with her husband John and her parents John and Stella Buksa.

Elinore was born and raised in Johnstown, PA. She graduated from Johnstown High School, Class of 1959. She married John J. Picklo, Jr., also of Johnstown, on July 25, 1959. They began their new life together in Honolulu, Hawaii where John was stationed at the Pearl Harbor Naval Base.

After the navy, John and Elinore moved to Delaware where they made a wonderful home for themselves and their four children.

Elinore was employed as a bookkeeper in the home construction industry and as an auditor for Holiday Inn and Hilton Hotel. Her last position was in the Public Relations/Community Affairs Department of Astra Zeneca, formerly ICI Americas.

She spent her free time decorating her home, hosting parties and creating memorable holiday dinners. She was very active in the Roseville Park and Log Run neighborhood civic associations. Most of all, she enjoyed working with her children's schools.

Elinore was blessed with four children: Christine A. DePetris, husband Steven, of Merchantville, NJ; John J. Picklo, III, wife Cheryl, of Wilmington, DE; Nancy A. Picklo of Grand Forks, ND; and Matthew J. Picklo, wife Anna, also of Grand Forks, ND. We will be forever grateful for her unconditional love and support; placing our well being above all else.

Grand children Stephanie, Joshua, Michael, Michelle, Rose, Matthew and Ian brought a special happiness into her life.

She is also survived by brothers, Edward, wife Mary Louise, of Albuquerque, NM and James, wife Tina, of Johnstown, PA and sister-in-law Jean Pentz, husband the late Henry Pentz, of Wilmington, De and many nieces and nephews.

Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 25 at 9:30 am by Reverend Andrew Molewski, Pastor, Saint Hedwigs Roman Catholic Church, 408 Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE 19805. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.

Schneese, Jr., Willard S

Willard S. Schneese, Jr. "Bill", 73 went to be with the Lord early Saturday, May 18, 2013 surrounded by his family.

Bill was born on January 30, 1940 in Wilmington, the son of the late Ann Marie and Willard S. Schneese, Sr. He graduated from Wilmington High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He retired in 1996 from Astra-Zeneca after 30 years of service. Bill was an instrumental part of the Defiance Athletic Association, receiving an award for Outstanding Devotion and Service in 1986. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, George M. Schneese.

Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia R. (McLaughlin) Schneese; his children and spouses, Richard F. and Tracey M., W. Patrick and Susan, Catherine A., Matthew J. and Kimberly D. and Ann M. and John A. Guizzetti, all of Wilmington. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Heather, Richard, Jr., John, Jessica, Miles, Olivia, Luke, Justin, Britney and David and his great-grandchildren, Alex, Jocelynn, Cameron, Juleea and L.J.

He was lovingly cared for by his first grandchild, Heather. Bill was a devoted husband, father and friend, cherished and loved by all and will be greatly missed by many.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 AM at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, De 19713, American Lung Association, 1021 Gilpin Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806 or Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, 220 Continental Drive, Ste. 101, Newark, DE 19713.

Imschweiler, Lorraine Owen

Lorraine (Owen) Imschweiler

Age 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the Heartland Hospice House surrounded by her family.

Born in Pottsville, PA, Mrs. Imschweiler was the daughter of the late Ernest Dudley and Leota Savilla (Ale) Owen. She was a registered nurse and served her country in the US Army during World War II. Later, she worked for the Veterans Administration Medical Center for 26 years and retired from Brandywine Convalescent Home.

Lorraine will be dearly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara O. and David Harring, of Sealy, TX, Beth A. and Bill Reuter of Wilmington, DE, Beatrice L. and Doug Dasher of Silver Springs, FL, and Beverly and Bud Frederick of Wilmington, DE. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and her sister, Dawn Keil of Wilmington, DE.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 1st at 1 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Road, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Heartland Hospice House, 5661 Ochletree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.

Rose Marie Campbell

Age 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Friday, May 24, 2013 surrounded by her family.

Born in Wilmington, Rose Marie was the daughter of the late Frank and Lena Donofrio, and was a graduate of Wilmington High School. Rose Marie enjoyed attending flea markets and was an avid antique collector. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa A. Qualls, and her brother, Francis Donofrio.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 39 years, William S. Campbell; her daughters, Karen Wilkinson and Jamie Biggs and her husband Jim; and two granddaughters, Rosemarie Wilkinson and Alex Older. Also surviving are her brothers, Maurice and Robert Donofrio, both of Wilmington; her sisters, Louise Zakreski and Florence Flanigan, both of Wilmington; and her son-in-law, Tim Qualls.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Eric Martin and the caring staff of the Helen Graham Cancer Center.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Thursday, May 30th between 6 and 8 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th Street and Bancroft Parkway, Wilmington. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either, the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 100 W. 10th Street, Ste.209, Wilmington, DE 19801.

Whaley Grice III

Age 60, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Seasons Hospice of Christiana Hospital surrounded by his family.

Whaley is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean, happily married 38 years. Their marriage was blessed with (3) children: Monica (Montez) Rouse; David (Jennifer) Grice and Daryn (Chael) Grice. (5) grandchildren: Kayla; Symone; Kaishawn; Aiden-Michael and Elena. Other surviving family members include: (4) Siblings and in-laws: (1) Sister, Cynthia Marie Grice and husband (Orlando); (3) brothers: Vincent (Terry) Grice; Fredrick (Wendy) Grice; and Derick (Rachael) Grice. (2) Uncles: Wayne and Charles Elliot. As well as many precious nephews and nieces.

Born in Manhattan, NY, Whaley was the son of the late Whaley and Frances Elizabeth Grice. Joyfully engaged in the preaching activity as a dedicated Jehovah's Witness. He worked as a machinist for Duhadaway Tool & Dye in Newark, DE. Previously, he worked for Micro-Fab Corporation in Norristown, PA.

Funeral services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 40 Old Newark Road, Newark, DE 19713 at 1 PM on Saturday, May 25th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to White Clay Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, same address as above.
