Donovan, Regina V.

Regina V. "Jeanie" Donovan of Smyrna, DE died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 7, 2011.

She was 80.

Mrs. Donovan was born October 29, 1930 in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Bronislaw and Anna Bierczynski.

She was a homemaker.

Jeanie loved gardening and sewing. She was a very good baker of pies and cakes and enjoyed canning. She also enjoyed eating crabs with the family during the summers.

She is survived by 7 children, Sandy, Louis, Regina, Michele, Joan, Rose, and Donald; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Burial will be privately held.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19904.

Ann P. Yuskiewicz

Age 45, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Monday, June 13, 2011.

Born in Wilmington, Ann was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Catherine (Grabowski) Yuskiewicz. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and a volunteer for RSVP. She was a member of St. John the Beloved Church and the Parish Life Group. She enjoyed cooking in St. John's kitchen and gardening at home. Her love of the outdoors included camping and rafting on the Brandywine River. She had a kind heart and was a true friend, always willing to help everyone.

She will be dearly missed by her longtime boyfriend, Tony "Oscar" Ceresini; her sister, Margaret "Maggie" Mays and her husband, Glenn of Townsend, DE; her brother, Paul D. Yuskiewicz and his wife, Laurie of Wilmington, DE; a niece, Jennifer Blain; cousins, Joe Grabowski and Lisa Lightner; and the Ceresini and Gardner families.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Friday, June 17th between 9:30 and 11:30 at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.

Langton, Glenn Alton

Camden Glenn Alton Langton died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his home in Camden. He was 71. Glenn proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He is predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Julia Langton, and is lovingly remembered by his sons, David Langton of Clayton, DE, and Mike G. Langton of Selbyville, DE. He is also remembered by his grandchildren, Matthew and Mackenzie Langton, as well as his sister, Carol Spurrier, and her husband, Clay.

A private service will be held Friday, June 17th at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming from 6 to 7 PM, and a graveside service will then take place on Monday, June 20th at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Camden, DE at 11 AM.

Blackburn, Sr, William Edward

William Edward Blackburn, Sr. of Dagsboro, DE passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011. He was 82 years old. Mr. Blackburn was born in Bluefield, WV, on March 23, 1929 to the late Ernest R. Blackburn, Sr. and Velma Johnson Canary. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Ernest R. Blackburn, Jr., Robert Grant Blackburn, Sr., and a sister, Frances Ann Rhodes. He worked as a shift supervisor for Delmarva Power at the Indian River Power Plant for 34 years. He served in the United States navy during the Korean War. He loved the spring and summer and was always spending time in the yard, he loved animals and classic cars and trucks. He was an early morning riser and spent many mornings at McDonalds. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Jackson Blackburn of Dagsboro, two sons, William E. Blackburn, Jr. and his wife Janet of Millsboro, DE and Scott A. Blackburn of West Grove, PA.. Three grandchildren, Heather Blackburn, Christopher Blackburn and Matthew Blackburn. One Great Grandchild, Dylan David Stewart. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, 2:00 P.M., June 16, 2011 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington Street, where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Bob Hudson will officiate. Interment will follow at Prince George's Chapel Cemetery, Dagsboro, DE.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the V.F.W. Sussex Memorial Post 7422, P.O. Box 606, Millsboro, DE 19966.

Ingrahm, Clesson E.

Clesson E. Ingrahm of Dover passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 80.

He was born on January 20, 1929 in Little York, NY, son of the late Frank and Nina (Jordan) Ingrahm. He graduated in 1947 from Homer Central High School.

Clesson had worked as a machinist for Champion Sheet Metal in Cortland, NY for 22 years before its closing where he made cowls for Brochway Trucks. He then worked for 15 years for Recreation Bowling Alley.

He was a member of Cortland Hall of Fame Bowlers, Canadian Probowlers, United Auto Workers Union and 700 Club at Recreation Bowling Alley.

Clesson was an avid bowler and enjoyed golf played softball and baseball where he was a pitcher, umpire and also refereed soccer.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers Nathan, Frederick, Roger and Clayton Ingrahm and a sister Barbara Waite.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Carrie (Haskell) Ingrahm, a son Stephen Ingrahm and his wife Letty of Dover, two daughters Susan McCollum of Zephyr Hills, FL and Sally Lopez and her husband Mario of Villa Park, IL, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Services will be at a later date in Cortland, NY.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.

Haas, Dorothy B.

Dorothy B. Haas, 63, of Smyrna, died on Sunday November 3 at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, Dover.

She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Alberta Blow.

Mrs. Haas had been employed by the Town of Smyrna from 1957-1967.

She then was employed by the Delaware Department of Transportation as an administrative assistant from 1967-2000, when she retired.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Smyrna, and was currently serving as a Deacon. She had formerly served as an Elder and Clerk of Session.

Mrs. Haas enjoyed reading, cooking, and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James D. Haas; a brother, Donald K. Blow, of Smyrna; two sisters, Charlotte Lenhoff, of Clayton; and Mary E. King, of Chadds Ford, Pa.; and twelve nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday November 7 at First Presbyterian Church, 118 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 10:00 AM.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to First Presbyterian Church, 118 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, De. 19977; or to the Delaware Humane Assoc., 701 A St., Wilmington, De. 19801.

Arrangements were by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, Smyrna.

Miller, Dolores M

Dolores M. Miller, 83, of Georgetown passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Born in Granite City, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Pearl Anna Davis Goudy, and was an only child. She was preceded by her husband of 49 years, the late Raymond A. Miller. She had seven children, and was devoted to her family. She loved to crochet, and sew and served for many years in the Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad. She was particularly fond of her years of service in the Foster Grandparents Program. She is survived by her children: Chere Riordan, and her husband Edward, of Millsboro; Susan Messick, and her husband Ted, of Millsboro; Barbara Layton, of Lewes; Deborah Miller, and her husband, Irvin Johnson, of Georgetown; Raymond "Jeff" Miller, and his wife Bonnie, of Wilmington; Patrick Miller, of Millsboro; and Stephen Miller, and his wife Beth, of Millsboro. She has 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She also has numerous extended family members and friends across the area. She also leaves behind her beloved canine friend, "Baby La." Friends will gather to celebrate her life on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Watson Funeral Home at 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE at 2:00 PM, with a viewing and visitation from Noon till 2 PM. Pastor Allen Miller will officiate. Interment follows at the Millsboro Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed, or for those wishing to contribute to a memorial in her memory, the family suggests the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro, De. 19966.

Collins, Myrtle J

Myrtle J. Collins of Millsboro passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She was 86 years old.

Mrs. Collins was born in Willards, MD on January 26, 1925 to the late Elmer W. and Eva B. Baker Jackson. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph Collins in 2001 and a brother, Elmer E. Jackson.

Mrs. Collins owned and operated a poultry farm for many decades. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a quiet reserved woman who was dedicated to her family.

She is survived by 2 sons, Bryce Collins and his wife Beth of Millsboro, DE and Kevin Collins and his wife Karen of Schwenksville, PA., 4 Grandchildren, Mindy Anthony and her husband Sean, Katie Tidwell and her husband Shawn, Rebecca Collins, and Tyler Collins, 5 Great grandchildren, Justin, Caleb, and Will Anthony, Lane and Harley Tidwell. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor Bob Hudson will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112.
