George T. Gale Age 91, of New Castle, DE passed away October 5, 2003, at home.

Mr. Gale was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. Gale in 1993; and son, George R. in 1981. He is survived by his 2 daughters; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Burial was held privately at the convenience of the family in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.

GEBHART FUNERAL HOMES of New Castle County

Kairis, William J.

William J. Kairis of Lewes, 85, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Harbor Healthcare, Lewes.

He was born on August 5, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA.

William served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII and also had worked as a truck driver.

He leaves no known survivors.

Services will be 11 am Tuesday, May 26 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.

Gainey, Zachary M.

Zachary Matthew Gainey, age 5, of Newark died on Friday December 29 2000 at A. I. DuPont Hospital.

Zachary was a kindergarten student at Brader Elementary School. He loved books and being read to. He also enjoyed playing with tools and working with his dad. Zachary had a beautiful voice that we will always treasure in our hearts.

Survivors include his parents; Edward and Donna Gainey, his twin brother Dillon and his younger brother Andrew, Care-giver Dixie Sinnott and family, Paternal Great-grandmother Joan Warrington, Paternal Grandmom Marlene Brierly, Maternal Grandmother, Shirley Durham, Paternal Great Uncle Stephen Warrington of England, 7 uncles, 5 Aunts and 17 cousins.

A special thank you to the entire staff at A.I. DuPont Childrens Hospital for the care they had given to Zachary over the past 2 ½ years.

There will be funeral service at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, on Thursday, January 4, at 11am where there will also be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to A.I. DuPont Childrens Hospital P.O. Box 269 Wilmington 19899.

Johnson Sr., Ricky L.

Ricky L. Johnson Sr., 47, of Clayton, was called home to be with Jesus on August 2, 2010.

He is survived by his wife Kelly and their children Ricky Jr. and Allie. He is also survived by his mother, Emma Jean Johnson, of Smyrna; three sisters, Debbie O'Brien and her husband Matt, of Middletown; Donna Brown and her husband Russell, of Smyrna; and Michelle Johnson, of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul "Toby" Johnson in 2000.

Ricky loved his family, the beach, Nascar, riding his Harley, and cooking. He had fond memories of his years racing at Airport Speedway. He was a talented carpenter who was loved and respected my many. For the past 15 years, he was employed at Printpack Inc., New Castle. He was a wonderful, loving, strong man who will be deeply missed.

Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday August 7 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

If desired, contributions may be sent to Cancer Care, 275 7th Ave., New York, NY 10001.

Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Smyrna.

Robert John Fangman

(Bobby - Bob - Rob)

Age 33, of Chelsea, MA, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware died September 11, 2001 aboard United Flight #175, the second airplane involved in the devastating act of terrorism against our country at the World Trade Center Building in New York City.

Bob was born and reared in Claymont, Delaware, a graduate of Claymont High School and a student of the University of Delaware. He had joined United Airlines as a flight attendant in November, 2000, and was based out of Boston, MA.

Bob was the loving son of Ruth M. Fangman and the late Paul A. Fangman of Claymont, DE. He is dearly missed by his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Marty and Kristy Fangman of Keller, TX, Michael and Maria Fangman of Greensboro, NC, Steven Fangman of Newark, DE, Debbie Fangman and Greg Kruszewski of Wilmington, DE, Terri and Rich Frakes of Charlottesville, VA, and Carole and Mike Ricci of Boothwyn, PA.

He was also a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, Haley, Jennifer and her husband, Brian, Stevie, Lindsay, Michael, Jack, Zach, Hajdeja, and Tom and to his great nieces, Madison and Mila, and great nephews, Kyle and Myles. He also leaves behind a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers who loved him for the kind, loving, caring and compassionate soul that he was.

Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 12 noon at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, where friends and family are invited to call after 11 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Bob's family suggests you take someone you love to dinner. Arrangements by Mealey Funeral Homes.

Hall, Kricket D.

Kricket D. Hall, 49, of Lewes passed away on January 25, 2011 at Harbor Health Care Nursing home from a long illness.

She was born on March 27, 1961 in Dover, Delaware, daughter of the late Helena V. and Richard M. Hall, Sr. of Hartly, Delaware.

Kricket graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1979. She worked at Lady Hess Womens Apparel, Leggetts Department Store, Superfresh and her last place of employment before her illness was AC Moore in Dover.

She lived in Felton before having to move to Harbor Health Care in Lewes.

Kricket enjoyed being with her family and friends, especially her dear friend, Lori Singleton. She enjoyed going to yard sales and loved animals.

She is survived by three sisters and one brother; Sandra L. and husband James A. Brown, Sr. of Lewes, Richard M. Hall, Jr. of Camden, Robin K. and husband Gilbert A. Chandler of Lewes, Vickie L. and husband Michael J. Malinasky of Millsboro, nephews, nieces and great nephews and great nieces James A. Brown, Jr., G. Craig Chandler and companion Korynne Karlau, Rebecca L. Palicka, Regina D. Wood and husband R. Douglas Wood, Tammy L. DeJesus and husband Victor D. DeJesus, Amanda Szelestei, Shelbi H. Brown, Tayler H. Malinasky, Hannah DeJesus, Robert D. Wood II, Richard J. Palicka, and long time friend Doris Bean.

Visitation will be 4-6 pm Sunday, January 30, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Service will be 11 am Monday, January 31 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 28467 DuPont Blvd., Suite 6, Millsboro, DE 19966.

Gabriel, Fred Joseph

Age 58, of Hockessin, DE died Friday, November 7, 2003 in t;he Christiana Hospital in Newark.

Mr. Gabriel worked for the DuPont Co. for 25 years. He also worked in finance in Maricopa County, AZ for 7 years.

He is survived by his wife of 36years, Susan S. Gabriel; his daughter, Cheryl G. McConnell of Cranford, NJ; his brother, Richard Gabriel of Milford CT; and his grandchildren, Carly Rose McConnell and Vaughn Gabriel McConnell.

Relative and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, DE on Wednesday morning, November 12, 2003 at 10:00 am. Internment will be in the St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday evening, November 11, 2003, from 6 - 8 pm.

In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4735 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
