Watson, Edna J.

Edna J. Watson, 90, passed away Thursday January 06, 2011

She was born on March 06, 1920 in Roaring River, NC to the late John and Frances McCann Jolly.

Mrs. Watson worked at Coty's then it became National Cup Co. in Dover. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Emery and William Watson.

She is survived by Daughter, Judith A. Rife of Clayton, DE. Grandson, Steven Rife of Clayton, DE. Grandson, Kenneth Rife, Sr. of Laurel, DE. Granddaughter, Katrina Walls of Clayton, DE. Great grandson, Kenneth Rife, Jr., Great Granddaughter, Christian Rife, Great grandson, Justin Rife, Great Granddaughter, Ashley Rife, Great Granddaughter, Sarah Rife, Great grandson, Samuel Rife, Great grandson, Travis Rife, Great grandson, Brandon Rife.

Graveside Services and burial will be held Monday 01/10/2011 11 AM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery Camden, DE

Margaret Ann Jones

Of Milford, passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at Milford Center. She was 95.

Margaret Ann was born on August 17, 1915 in Crumpton, Maryland, daughter of the late David A. and Laura Virginia Clements.

Mrs. Jones was employed with Boulevard Electric in Dover where she worked in sales and also helped with bookkeeping for 15 years retiring in 1985. For several years after retirement, she did the weekly payroll for Atlantic Concrete in Milford.

For 20 years, Margaret Ann and her husband Broddus enjoyed outings in their boat on the Chesapeake Bay. She also loved spending time with her Grandchildren.

She was a long time member of the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford where she had been active with many church activities, the United Methodist Women and her church circle.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Broddus Ward Jones in 1990; four brothers; David A. Clements, Jr., Charles Clements, W. Bernard Clements and James B. Clements; two sisters; Katherine Williams and Ruth Lingo and her son-in-law, Karl A. Chen.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Chen of Middletown; a son and daughter-in-law, Skip and Cynthia Jones of Milford; a sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Skip Mayhew of Bear; two sisters-in-law; Marjorie Clements of Swarthmore, PA and Kiran Clements of Dover; a brother-in-law, Raymond D. Lingo of Millsboro; five grandchildren; David Chen and his wife Gina, Christopher Chen and his wife Carrie, Michael Chen and his wife Kristen, Benjamin Jones and Jonathan Jones; seven great grandchildren; Zavier Chen, Kieran Schnell, Cierra Schnell, Matthew Chen, Elizabeth Chen, Masen Chen and Samantha Chen and many nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be held privately.

Margaret Ann's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff's of Milford Center, The Heritage and Delaware Hospice for the special care and kindness she received while she was a resident.

The family has requested memorial contributions to Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St, Milford, DE, 19963 or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.

Edna Mae Cooper

Of Dover, formerly of Milford, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 15, 2010. She was 86.

Edna Mae was born on August 25, 1924 in Key West, Florida and moved to Milford in 1953. She lived in Milford until 2008 when she moved to Dover.

She was a member of the Milford Senior Center for over 30 years.

Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael J. Abella and her second husband, Elijah John Cooper.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Vernell Abella of Dover; two grandchildren, Melody Abella and her husband Brian Wyatt of Arlington, VA and Dr. Holly Abella Smith and her husband Michael of Magnolia and a great granddaughter, Faith Annabella Smith.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be held in the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Ave, Milford, DE, 19963.

Ansof S. Gray

Of Broadkill Beach, DE and Silver Springs, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. She was 91.

Mrs. Gray was born on October 1, 1919 in East River Falls, Minnesota, daughter of the late Elmer and Emma Hemmetvedt Strand.

Ansof was a full time homemaker with special artistic talents as depicted in her many paintings over the years. She also enjoyed sewing.

She was a member of the Inter-faith Chapel in Silver Springs.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Benjamin Parks Gray in 2006.

She is survived by a son, Tom Gray of Debary, FL; a daughter, Patricia Vaughn of Milford, DE; a sister, Edna Strand of Eagan, MD; three granddaughters, Vicki Watson, Tracey Taylor and Kelly Goodwin and eight great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Inter-faith Chapel, 3680 Leisure World Blvd, Silver Spring, MD.

Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.

Audrey C. Krause

Of Milford, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at her home. She was 86.

Audrey was born on February 26, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Roland and Bessie (Clark) Carbaugh.

She was a full time homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Krause was preceded in death by three sisters; Betty Osterloh, Peggy Leidig and Nancy Samtmyer.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vernon A. Krause, two sons; Skip Krause of Columbia, MD and Tim C. Krause of Palm Harbor, FL; a brother, Clark Carbaugh of Dover; three grandchildren, Brian Krause, Paul Krause and Emily Krause and three great granchildren.

Services and burial will be held privately.

The family has requested memorial contributions to Huntington Disease Society, 505 8th Ave, Suite 902, New York, NY, 10018.

Angelucci, John O.

Army

John O. Angelucci, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford. He was 91.

John was born on September 6, 1919 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Orlando and Hazel E. (Young) Angelucci.

He was a proud veteran of the Army Air Corp serving his country during World War II. Enlisting after the attacks on Pearl Harbor, he was a tail gunner on a B-17 in the European Theater.

Mr. Angelucci test drove heavy equipment and tanks at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland for several years before taking employment with Civil Service at the Dover Air Force Base where he was a maintenance supervisor for 27 years before retiring in 1977. After his retirement, he became self employed as a house painter.

John was a member of the American Legion Post #3 in Milford, the Blue Hen VFW Post #6483 in Milford, a member and past Commander and Treasurer of the Disabled American Veterans Post #6 in Milford and a member of the First Baptist Church in Milford.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Angelucci was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Princess Leigh Angelucci, two sons and a daughter-in-law; David J. Angelucci of Sweetwater, TN and Scott and Gail Angelucci of Milford; two daughters and a son-in-law; Barbara and Carl Mross of Lincoln and Nancy Allaband of Magnolia; a brother, George Angelucci of Havre de Grace, MD; two sisters, Mary Snyder of Frederick, MD and Grace Barker of Elkton, MD; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Home of the Brave, 6632 Sharps Rd, Milford, DE, 19963.
