Adam J. Baltrunas of Clayton, Delaware passed away at home, Thursday June 3, 2010.

He was 85.

Mr. Baltrunas was born December 18, 1924 near Templeville, Maryland the son of the late Peter and Antonina Andrich Baltrunas.

He worked as a farmer in the Clayton area for all of his life.

Mr. Baltrunas was a member of the West End Rod and Gun Club in Wilmington, DE.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Baltrunas and two daughters, Valerie Baltrunas and Deborah Williams.

He is survived by a sister, Eva Steele of Hartly, DE; two nephews, David Grabowski of Newark, DE and Rob Grabowski of Newark, DE; and his extended family and close friends.

Services will be Wednesday June 9, 2010 at 11am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, DE where friends may call two hours prior to the services.

Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

Montgomery, Maggie Ann

Maggie Ann Montgomery of Smyrna, DE passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

She was 94 ½.

Maggie was born December 24, 1915 in Taylors Bridge, DE the daughter of the late William and Elsie Staats Warner.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed giving to others and volunteering at the Church.

Maggie was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Smyrna and the Women's Auxiliary of the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill of Smyrna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Montgomery in 1985; and a daughter, Peggy Ann Montgomery in 1944.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy R.M. Bush and her husband, Jerry, of Pemberton, NJ; and a granddaughter, Peggy Lee Anderson and her husband, Jimmy Murray, of Dover, DE.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, DE where friends and family may call Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Smyrna, DE.

In lieu of flowers Maggie wanted contributions to be made to either Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 330 Smyrna, DE 19977, or Friendship United Methodist Church, c/o Elsie and Pauline Shockley, 986 Taylors Bridge Rd. Townsend, DE 19734.

DuPhily, Francis J.

Francis J. DuPhily, of Dover, DE formerly of Smyrna, DE, also known as "Preacher Man" passed away Wednesday June 23, 2010 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital.

He was 80.

Mr. DuPhily was born April 6, 1930 in Wilmington, Delaware the son of the late John and Bella Forteir DuPhily.

He retired as supervisor of the power tool crib for General Motors in Wilmington, DE where he worked for 23 years.

Mr. DuPhily was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He was an avid gardener, enjoyed doing puzzles and socializing with his friends at the former Donut Connection in Smyrna.

Mr. DuPhily was a member of St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church in Smyrna and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Madaline Wood DuPhily; three sons, Francis J. DuPhily, II of Marion, VA, John J. DuPhily of Chestertown, MD and Joseph J. DuPhily of Hartly, DE; three daughters, Bernadette Connor of Middletown, Sharon Passwaters of Dover, De and Annette Heald of Middletown ; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday July 1, 2010 at 11am in St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church, 135 Ransom Lane Smyrna, Delaware.

Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Bear, DE immediately following the mass.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the St. Polycarp's Building Fund, 135 Ransom Lane Smyrna, DE 19977.

Wuest, Jacqueline "Jackie"

Jacqueline "Jackie" Wuest of Dover, Delaware died at home Sunday June 6, 2010.

She was 61.

Jackie was born July 20, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Giovanni and Helen Matatesta Ianni.

She graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1970 with a Bachelors Degree in Education and retired from the Delaware Department of Education.

Jackie loved her grandchildren and her cats.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie W. Wuest, Jr. of Dover, DE; her ex-husband, The Rev. Dr. Ronald W. Wuest, Sr.; a brother, Dino Ianni and a sister, Elaine Tucker, both of Detroit and her grandchildren, Ronnie Wuest, III and Tony Wuest.

Memorial services will be Saturday June 12, 2010 at 12noon in Glenwood Cemetery. Smyrna, DE.

Friends may call Saturday from 10:30am to 11:45am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, DE.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware's Top Wrestling Club, 428 F North Governors Avenue Dover, DE 19904.

Dager, Dorothy S.

Dorothy S. Dager of Newark, Delaware, passed away Saturday September 25, 2010 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital.

She was 86.

Mrs. Dager was born April 20, 1924 in Wyoming, Delaware the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Schneider.

She owned and operated Crystal Beauty Salon for 12 years and she thought of all of her employees as family.

Mrs. Dager served on the Delaware State Board of Cosmetology.

She was a member of Charlie's Travel Club and following her retirement, enjoyed spending time with her family, going to her summer beach house and being in the outdoors fishing and crabbing.

Mrs. Dager will always be remembered for her beautiful smile which she displayed until the very end.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Albert Dager, Sr. in 1993.

She is survived by two sons, Al Dager, Jr. and his wife, Shelly of Townsend, DE and Larry Dager and his wife Carol of Middletown, DE; three grandchildren, Denae Spence, Annie Grillo and Jessica Davis and her husband, Steve; four great grandchildren, Aleah Estevez, Julia and Natalie Grillo and Jack Davis and her God Daughter, Jody Coe.

Services will be Friday October 1, 2010 at 12noon in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, DE. A visitation will be held from 11am until noon.

Pastor Edward Lasko will officiate.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Camden, DE.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Regional Office, 240 North James Street Suite 100A, Newport, DE 19804.
