Booth, Vicki Ann

Vicki Ann Booth went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from the Delaware Hospice Center

Vicki was born, during a blizzard, on January 5, 1962, at the Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA. Vicki was the daughter of Elizabeth L Booth (McElheny) of Lancaster, PA and Vearl P. Booth Jr. and Alva (Engroff) Booth of Lancaster, PA.

Ms. Booth worked in the Food Service Industry for the past 30 years, including Yoder's Family Restaurant in New Holland, PA and Central Family Restaurant in York, PA.

She moved to Magnolia, DE in May 2008 and started working in the kitchen of the Frederica Senior Center. Vicki was also a Prep-Cook at Doc Magrogan's Oyster House in Dover Downs, being one of the original employees when it opened in 2008. She took extreme pride in her duties and always tried to do her best.

Vicki enjoyed working as a cook and was also one not to just sit around. She was always on the go doing odd jobs for the Center or for her family. She enjoyed playing bingo with members of the Frederica Senior Center or a good game of bowling on the Wii. She loved to watch professional basketball, football and NASCAR. Her favorite team; Dallas Cowboys and cheering on her favorite NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. One of her memorable moments was riding along in a race car from Monster Mile Racing at the Dover Speedway.

Vicki was a member of Southside Baptist Church, where she received her Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ and Baptized in His Name. She loved God, her family and friends deeply. Vicki was a quiet, independent woman who was always a joy to be around. She loved her son and grandchildren and spent hours talking to them throughout the day.

A quiet individual she enjoyed all her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Vicki is survived by her only child Justin Michael Booth and his wife Angi of Peoria, Arizona, 4 grandchildren, Andre, Marcus, Tatianna, and Alexus, all of Arizona; 3 sisters, Lorri, wife of Mark Maier, Panama City, FL, Michele, wife of Albert Hunsiker III, Magnolia, DE, and April Booth of Lancaster, PA; 2 stepbrothers, Jeff Engroff of Lancaster, PA & Kevin and Rhonda Engroff of Millersville, PA and a niece, Kayla Miller of Lancaster, PA. Also surviving are 5 nephews, Albert Hunsiker IV of Shreveport, LA, Christopher Hunsiker of Smyrna, DE, Mathew Hunsiker of Dover, DE, Alexander Hunsiker of Magnolia, DE and Hunter Maier of Panama City, FL, and great-nieces and nephews. Vicki also leaves behind numerous close friends in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The Family would like to thank the Staff at Milford Memorial Hospital for the outstanding care they gave Vicki during her stay, especially the nurses from ICU.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family at Southside Baptist Church in Dover, DE at a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Vicki's name to Trader Funeral Home, Inc., 12 Lotus Street, Dover, Delaware 19901 to offset funeral costs.

Reese, Margaret Arlene

Margaret Arlene Reese, 66, Pine Street, Dover, passed away Friday April 23, 2010 at KGH Bay Health Dover.

She was born on May 08, 1943 in Dover, DE to late Wilson and Ella Fretz Turner.

Margaret was a bus driver and dispatcher with the State of Delaware DAST.

She is survived by her Husband of 34 years, William L. Reese of Dover, DE. Son, Scott Turner of Marydel, DE. Brother, Ed Turner of, AZ. Granddaughter, Crystal Cole of Dover, DE. Caregiver, Carol Turner of Dover, DE.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

A gathering of family and friends may call Tuesday April 27, 2010 at 6 PM at the Reese home 33 Pine Street Dover, DE 19901

Pearce, Harry D. "Jerry"

Harry D. "Jerry" Pearce, 75, of Dover, DE died on Monday May 3, 2010 surrounded by his beloved family.

Mr. Pearce was born in Wilmington, DE on March 18, 1935. He was the son of the late Harry D and Helen Pearce. He is survived by his wife and best friend Carole Ann Pearce, three daughters Deborah Keyser of Dover, DE, Deanna and Michael Smith of Magnolia, DE. Kim and Stan Gorak of Middletown, DE, two sons, H Alan and Deborah Pearce of Boone, NC, and Gregory and Carol Pearce of Annapolis, MD, ten grandchildren M Alan Pearce, Alexander Smith, Aaron Pearce, Kyle Henry, Jessica Henry, Brandon Pearce, Taylor Henry, Meaghan Pearce, Jonathan Pearce and Shannon Pearce, two great grandchildren Alexia and Anthony Gorak.

Mr. Pearce was a graduate of Laurel High School, Wesley College and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. His career in banking spanned over forty years ranging from teller to bank President. He was a member of Wyoming United Methodist Church and President of Bank Administrators Institute, American Institute of Banking, Rehoboth-Dewey Chamber of Commerce & Visitor center and the greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce. He was an active community service volunteer for all three counties in delaware.

Jerry was a model train enthusiast and was once an avid golfer. He served in the Delaware National Guard and was a Boy Scout and Scoutmaster. He loved sports especially the Phillies and Eagles and played semi-pro baseball in his youth. Jerry was a kind, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend who looked at each day as God's special gift. He leaves behind many dear friends, former classmates and neighbors for whom he cared deeply. Memorable was the smile on his face.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff of the ICU and IMC2 units of Bayhealth Kent General and the doctors and staff of Cardiology Consultants, PA for their wonderful care and support.

A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11 AM at Wyoming United Methodist Church 216 Wyoming Mill Road Dover, DE 19904. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Wyoming United Methodist Church 216 Wyoming Mill Road Dover, DE 19904 in his memory.

Garber, Jeri M.

Jeri M. Garber, age 36, of Felton, Delaware passed away in her sleep on May, 26, 2010. She was born May 17, 1974, at Ellsworth A.F.B., South Dakota, to Andy & Jean Aiken. She was the second of three siblings, leaving behind her older brother Andy Aiken, Jr. and her younger sister Brandy Burham & souse Danny.

On February 12, 2000, she married her longtime love, Christopher M. Garber and joyously welcomed their daughter Faith Marie Garber, just four years ago.

After graduating from CR High School in 1992 she worked for Dentsply Caulk until she became disabled.

The joy of her life was being Mommy to her daughter Faith.

Spending time with her family, especially there nieces and nephews (Hope, Dru, An Marie, Jason Edward, Kierstin, Autumn, and Gabby) has been some of her most smiling moments.

Jeri was an avid sports fan, especially the Eagles, Phillies, and Orioles.

She also enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, and making s'mores around a fire for the kids she so adored.

She comes from a very large family who will love and remember her for all the love she gave.

She is survived by a host of relatives & friends.

Some of those closest to her include her dear grandmother, Alice M. Blair of Dover, her in laws, Edward & Wanda Garber of Pickering Beach, and Iris & Jonathan Kamanns of Narvon, PA., as well as sister in law Melissa & her spouse John, also from Narvon. Jeri also leaves behind a special aunt, Joan M. Buxton of Dover, two clsoe uncles, Danny Blair of Dover, Roger Aikiens of Gastionia, NC, and her best friends, Kari Akmentins of Woodside.

Though Jeri only and on sister by birth, she considered her cousin one as well; Kelly M. Scarbriel & spouse Master Sergeant Matthew Scarbriel of Scoot Air Force Base, Il, alnong with their childresn Kortney, Madison, and Alyssa.

While she was preceded in death by many relatives who welcomed her home, most recently was her cousin Kelly Richter and brother in law Jason Garber.

A Memorial Services will be held for all those who wish to attend, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 237 Lebanon Road, Dover, Del.

Cremation services will be provided by Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus Street, Dover, Delaware (320-734-4620).

In Lieu of flowers, donation will be accepted by Trader Funeral Home on behalf of Jeri M. Garber to help offset cost.

Hawkins, Sr., Ronald L.

Ronald L. Hawkins, Sr. 61, Gallo Road, Harrington, passed away Sunday February 21, 2010 at KGH Bay Health Milford.

He was born on December 01, 1948 in Milford, DE to the late Charles and Bessie Williams Hawkins.

Mr. Hawkins was a welder at DTS Trucking Services.

He is preceded in death by a sister Barbara Silversion.

He is survived by his Wife of 43 years, Connie Marie Hawkins of Harrington, DE.

Son, Ronald Hawkins, Jr. of Frederica, DE. Son, Michael Allan Hawkins, Sr. of Felton, DE.

Brother, Roy Hawkins of Harrington, DE.

Sister, Sharon Rash of Harrington, DE.

Sister, Gloria Sylvester of Harrington, DE.
