Aileen Shull
Aileen Shull, 90, of Washington, Iowa died Monday, May 16, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.
Celebration of Life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin 11:00 a.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the Jones Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County or the American Heart Association.
Aileen was born August 21, 1920, near Wellman Iowa, the daughter of George Milton and Eva D. (Ramsey) Smith. She attended school in Washington County. Aileen was united in marriage to Clarence Shull on December 25, 1948, in Kirksville, Missouri.
Aileen worked at the American Pearl Button Company, Advanced Ross Electronics, the Washington County Hospital and in later years worked at the Frontier Cafe. She enjoyed shopping, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her brothers: Dale Smith and wife, Mary of Washington, Stanley Smith of Colorado, Harold Smith of Murietta, California, sisters: Ruth Lamansky of Washington, Shirley Barwick of Davenport, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence in 1987, two brothers: Donald and Charles Smith as well as three sisters: Norma Brinning, Donna Wilson and Evelyn Neff.

Eugene “Charlie” Boock
Eugene “Charlie” Boock, 72, of Washington, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, in Halcyon House in Washington following declining health.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Kelly Allard officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the funeral home with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A general memorial has been established.
Frances Maurine Larsen, 93, of Washington
Frances Maurine Larsen, 93, of Washington died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the United Presbyterian Church with Rev, Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established at the United Presbyterian Church or the United Presbyterian Home.
Maurine was born April 26, 1918 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey Lloyd and Helen Meek (Galloway) Walker. She graduated from Washington High School, Washington Jr. College and later attended Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. On May 27.1943, Maurine was united in marriage to Louis W. Larsen in Washington, Iowa.
Maurine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Washington where she was an Elder and Deacon and was active in the United Presbyterian Women. She was a member of Farm Bureau, Neighborhood Clubs, and Fortnightly Club where she received the “The Mother of the Year” award. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and baking.
Maurine is survived by her son, Willard Larsen and wife, LeAnne of Comanche, Iowa, daughters: Beth Hochstetler and husband, Will of Charlottesville, Virginia, Barb Mineart and husband, Joe of Marion, Iowa, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-laws: Jeanette Walker, Martha Ellis, Helen Larsen and Martha Larsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis, in 2008, and her brother, William Walker.

Helen M. Baiotto
RICHLAND ‑ Helen M. Baiotto, 91, former Rubio resident, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in Maplewood Manor in Keota.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Trinity Friends Church in Richland. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.

Una Fern Lewis
WEST LIBERTY ‑ Una Fern Lewis, 103, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, in the Washington Care Center in Washington.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Nichols Cemetery in Nichols. Visitation was from 10 to 10:45 a.m. today at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty.

Stella Marie Boshart
Stella Marie Boshart, 101, of Wayland, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, in the Parkview Home in Wayland.
A celebration of life service was held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Bethel Mennonite Church in rural Wayland with the Rev. Brad Gillis officiating. Burial was at 9:30 a.m. today, prior to the service, at the Bethel Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 30, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial fund has been established to the Parkview Home.

Lavina Laura Masson
Lavina Laura Masson, 95, of Green Valley, Ariz., formerly of Washington, died Saturday, May 28 2011, in Green Valley, Ariz., of natural causes.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Rosary and prayer services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A general memorial has been established.

Marilyn Jane Dunwoody
Marilyn Jane Dunwoody, 88, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Washington, died Friday, June 3, 2011, in Atlanta, Ga.
Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating. Burial will be at the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends prior to the time of the service. Memorials have been established in the names of the First Christian Church of Dixon and Hospice of Rock River Valley.

Vivian Dickel
KALONA ‑ Vivian Dickel, 77, of Racine, Wis., died Saturday, May 28, 2011, in WFH All Saints Hospital in Racine, Wis.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 40 Ohio Street in Racine, Wis., with the Rev. Melanie Hammond-Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Visitation will also be held beginning at 10 a.m Wednesday at the church.

Beulah Hochstedler
KALONA ‑ Beulah Hochstedler, 86, of Kalona, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, in Kalona.
A celebration of life service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. John King, Floyd Yutzy and David L. Yoder officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in rural Kalona. A gathering of family and friends was held from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church. A memorial fund has been established for Sunnyside Church Missions. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona was in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Wayne Butterbaugh
KALONA ‑ Robert Wayne Butterbaugh, 80, formerly of Wellman, died Friday, June 3, 2011, in the Washington Care Center in Washington.
His body has been cremated, and there will be no services. Burial will be at a later date. Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona is handling the arrangements.

Billie Jean Griggs
Billie Jean Griggs, 81, died on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic Weston in Weston, Florida, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Stacy-Lewis funeral home on Saturday, May 21, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A memorial fund in her name has been established at the funeral home.
