Adam Bohr
Adam Bohr, 36, of North Liberty, formerly of Decorah, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City after a long illness.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at Monday, Dec. 6, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Decorah, with Msgr. Cletus Hawes presiding. Burial was in St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery.
Adam John Bohr was born on Dec. 1, 1974, to Kenneth and Annette (Einck) Bohr. He grew up on their farm near Decorah. He attended St. Benedict's grade school and Decorah High School, graduating in 1993, where he played football and basketball. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University (ISU) in December, 1999. During his time at ISU, he was a member of the Iowa State Rugby Club and was selected as captain by his teammates. He began employment with McClure Engineering Company immediately after receiving his degree, and purchased ownership in the company in 2001. He later moved to North Liberty to become the Eastern Iowa Regional Manager of the new McClure office in Coralville and three years later was instrumental in the construction of a new office building in North Liberty where the company remains. Adam served on the Iowa City Homebuilders Board of Directors, the North Liberty Chamber of Commerce Steering Committee, and was on the Board of Directors of the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce. Adam was well known and respected throughout the community. In addition to his love of his career, Adam enjoyed playing poker, hunting, reading, sports, biking and dancing. He also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In April, he purchased a new home in North Liberty where his greatest joy was entertaining friends and spending time with Jessica. Adam lived his life with honor and integrity. He was very kind hearted and always put others' feelings first. His vivacious spirit and ready smile made him loved by everyone and a joy to be around. He fought a hard battle with cancer for the past year, but during that time he never lost his smile or consideration for others.
Adam's survivors include his mother and step-father: Annette (Karl) Wiltgen, Ossian; a sister Kendra (Shawn) Kleve, Spillville; a brother Rob (Jessica) Bohr, Glendale, Ariz; nephew and niece Christian and Karissa Kleve, Spillville; maternal grandparents Jerome and Norma Einck, Decorah; Adam's girlfriend, Jessica Wittman, North Liberty; three step-sisters, Karla (Gary) Winter, Ossian, Julie (Dean) Elsbernd, Calmar, and Connie (Tony) Beller, Carpentersville, Ill.; a step-brother, Corey Wiltgen, Ossian; eight step nieces and nephews, Chelsea Winter, Nathan Winter, Katelyn Elsbernd, Justin Elsbernd, Ashlyn Elsbernd, Brandon Wiltgen, Paige Beller and Brooke Beller.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Bohr on Sept. 12, 1997; and his paternal grandparents, John and Anna (Heying) Bohr.

Wilma Hadenfeldt
Wilma L. Hadenfeldt, 84, of Marengo, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be contributed to Rose Haven Nursing Home.
She is survived by a son, Ed and wife Mary of Solon; a daughter, Jean Quinlan and husband William of Chicago; and five grandchildren, Alice Quinlan and Andy Quinlan of Chicago, Adam Hadenfeldt of Mount Vernon, Aaron Hadenfeldt of Cedar Rapids, and August Hadenfeldt of Cedar Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dwight Ehrman; a sister, Marilyn Watts; and a brother, Eugene, who died in childhood.
Wilma Lorene Ehrman was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Marengo, the daughter of John and Carrie (Lutz) Ehrman. She graduated from Marengo High School. Wilma was a legal secretary for Byron Goldthwaite in Marengo and later served as Deputy Clerk of Iowa County for many years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marengo and the Marengo Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time cooking and sewing.
Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her and remembered as someone who was more concerned about the welfare of others rather than her own.

Birdella Rowley
Birdella K. "Tudy" Rowley, 66, of North Liberty, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Mercy Hospice Care in Iowa City. Services were held Dec. 11 at Lensing's Oak Hill in Coralville, with Pastor Nick Timmerman officiating. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Liberty. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Tudy was born March 8, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Arnold L. and Thelma I. (Earwicker) Allie. Raised in Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley, Calif., Tudy moved to Marshalltown in 1977, living there until 1992 when she moved to Iowa City.
Tudy was a homemaker and enjoyed bird watching from the front window of her home. She especially cherished time spent with her four dogs.
She is survived by her sons, Allen Rowley and Danial (Darla) Rowley, all of Marshalltown; daughters, Sherry McGrew and Tammy Rutherford, both of North Liberty; eight grandchildren, Brian, Brad, Jeffrey, Justin, Tina, Tonya, Yolonda and Vanessa; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Allie of Houston, Texas.
Tudy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois.

Ina Wombacher
Ina E. (Donham) Wombacher, 90, of Iowa City, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Mercy Hospital Hospice Care with her family beside her.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 11 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City, with Reverend John Spiegel officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to The Regina Foundation or Iowa City Hospice.
Ina was born June 23, 1920, in Chanute, Kan., the daughter of Andrew W. and Florence A. (Camp) Donham. Graduating from University High School in 1937, she then attended Irish Business College. She was united in marriage to R.F. Jeff Wombacher August 28, 1940, in Fort Collins, Colo.
In the early years, Ina worked at Sears and Roebuck in downtown Iowa City as a department head. Upon her husband's return from WWII, she devoted her life to her family of six while helping her husband run his small business. She loved to dance, was an accomplished seamstress, an avid bridge player, Cubs fan and a devoted shoe shopper with her motto being "if it fits, buy two"
Her loss of vision never deterred her from accomplishing her goals and enjoying life. Her care, concern and compassion for others was always her priority. She was loved and admired by all who came to know her.
Ina is survived by her children, Tamra Donohoe (Robert) of Iowa City, Jeffry Wombacher (Paula) of Irvine, California, Cindi Stevens (Robert Jr.) of Iowa City, David Wombacher (Jane) of Huxley, Iowa, Susan Shimon, (special friend, Michael) of Lake Forest, California and Mikel Wombacher (Nancy) of Iowa City; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Hartsock of Solon; three sisters-in-law, Gen Wombacher and Darlene Wombacher, both of Iowa City and Rosella McNerney of Maryland.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Harold Donham, and two sisters, Alice Kent and Wilma Larson.

June Wurster
June M. (Mrs. Dale E.) Wurster, 92, of Iowa City died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
June Margaret Peterson was born May 25, 1917, in Necedah, Wisc., the daughter of Walter R. and Bertha M. (McElwain) Peterson. Following graduation from high school in Sparta, Wisc., she attended and received her BA from LaCrosse State Teacher's College, now know as University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Following graduation she taught at the high school in Lancaster, Wisc. She later worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad during World War II, and then for the United States Armed Forces Institute. On June 16, 1944, she was united in marriage to Dale Erwin Wurster in Sparta. The couple and their family lived in Madison where Dale was a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, until accepting the position of Dean of the College of Pharmacy at North Dakota State University in Fargo in 1971. The family left Fargo in 1972 when Dale became the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Iowa. June was a grand lady who believed in supporting her husband in his career, and caring for their family.
In her college days, June was an accomplished violinist, having been selected to play in the LaCrosse Symphony. While living in Madison following her marriage, she was active in the University Club, her children's school activities, PTA, and the League of Women Voters. Upon their family moving to Iowa City, she was a long time member of the NN book club. She always enjoyed reading and her flower gardens. She was an avid Hawkeye football fan. She and Dale enjoyed traveling, having seen 47 of the lower 48 states through the windshields of various cars, and they traveled abroad including much of Europe. He husband Dale died in April 2007.
Her family includes her two children, Dale Eric Wurster and his wife, Pamela, of North Liberty; and Susan W. Biel of St. Gabriel, La.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Dobesh and her husband, Brett, Kristin Gail Wurster, and Dale Edward Wurster, two great-grandchildren; Kya and Kobe Dobesh; siblings, Mabel Karavanic of Weirton, W.Va., and Walter Peterson and his wife, Waverly, of Marshfield, Wisc.
Private funeral services will be held at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. Memorial donations can be made in June's memory to the Dale E. and June M. Wurster Fund through the University of Iowa Foundation.

Adam Bohr

Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 6 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Decorah with Msgr. Cletus Hawes presiding. Burial was in the St. Benedict's Cemetery.
Survivors are mother and stepfather: Annette (Karl) Wiltgen, Ossian, Iowa. Sister, Kendra (Shawn) Kleve, Spillville, Iowa; brother Rob (Jessica) Bohr, Glendale, Ariz.; nephew and niece Christian and Karissa Kleve, Spillville; maternal grandparents Jerome (Norma) Einck, Decorah, Iowa and special friend Jessica Wittman, North Liberty.

Michael "Todd" Gordon
Michael "Todd" Gordon, 59, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 from injuries he received in a vehicular accident near Ainsworth.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at St. Mary's Church in Iowa City with Rev. John Spiegel officiating. Burial with military honors will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Regina Foundation, Mercy Hospital Foundation or to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Todd was born March 8, 1951, in Iowa City, the son of John "Jack" and Lorraine (Hobbs) Gordon. He attended St. Mary's Elementary School and was a 1969 graduate of Regina High School. From 1969-1972 he served as a medic corpsman in the US Navy. Upon returning to Iowa after his service, Todd met and courted the love of his life, Sue Seydel of Iowa City. The two were married on Sept. 22, 1973, at St. Mary's Church.
In 1980, after a successful career with Todd Gordon Construction Company, Todd established Gordon Lumber Company in Mt. Vernon. He quickly became a trusted builder in the area. Todd had a strong work ethic and taught those around him, "The more you do, the more you can do" His love of Hackney Harness Ponies led him to also own the Jerald Sulky Company in Waterloo, Iowa.
Todd was a hardworking man who believed in giving to others through philanthropy. He was a proud supporter of the Regina Catholic Education Center, Mercy Hospital Foundation, Miracles in Motion and Make- A-Wish Foundation, an organization which had benefitted his grandson. Todd enjoyed owning and showing Hackney Horses. He was a lifelong member and served as President of the Mid-States Hackney Association and the American Hackney Horse Society. He was a member of St. Mary's Church.
Todd was a loving husband, a wonderful father, a devoted grandfather, brother and a friend. His gentle strength, kindness and wisdom touched many lives. A rock to so many, Todd will be greatly missed.
Todd is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sue and their daughters Erin (Eric) Pottebaum of Carrollton, Texas, Katy (Matt) Brown of Iowa City and their son Tim (Jennifer) Gordon of Solon; two grandsons, Jack Pottebaum and Cooper Brown and four granddaughters, Madelyn Brown, Lucy Pottebaum, Samantha Brown and Peyton Gordon; six siblings, Dennis (Jackie) of Iowa City, Dave of Coralville, Anita (Steve) Puffer of Coralville, Sue (Dan) Englebrecht of Dyersville, Brett and Jim of Iowa City; nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Mary Seydel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joan and father-in-law Sy Seydel.
