Alecia Ann Breland was born to Willie and Olivia Breland Sr. on June 20, 1957. She attended the public schools here in DeRidder. Alecia was a warmhearted positive person who, like sunshine, always kept everyone smiling and laughing.
She was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many during her lifetime. Survivors include her parents, Willie and Olivia Breland Sr.; sons, McCary Breland Sr. (Kirby), and Michael Breland of DeRidder; and Teri Andrews, who she loved as a daughter, brothers, Willie F. Breland (Andree) of DeRidder, Ollie T. Breland of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Elaine Fuller (Joseph) of Jacksonville, FL, Charlotte Martin of DeRidder, Eria Faye Gilmore of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and dear friends, Donna Hitchens, LeRoy Jackson, and Joseph Williams.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held Saturday, March12, 2016 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will begin at 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Julene Whiddon Quave; daughter-in-law, Dale Whiddon both of Merryville, LA; brothers, Johnny Manino and wife Frances of Merryville, LA and David Luke Manino of Many, LA; sister, Evelyn Manino Vawter of Louisa, VA; stepson, Wayne Williams and wife Diane of Merryville, LA; step daughters, Betty DeVore and husband D.A. of Merryville, LA, Margie Greninger of Merryville, LA, and Patsy Corbett and husband Eddie of Hornbeck, LA; grandchildren, Lisa Quave and husband Donnie of Merryville, LA, Derek Quave and wife Jennifer of DeQuincy, LA, Rhonda Farris and husband Cade of DeRidder, LA, Chris Whiddon and wife Nancy of Merryville, LA, and Jimmie Lea Williamson and husband James of Merryville, LA; 13 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren, 27 step great grandchildren; 10 step great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Pearl Manino; husband, Henry Whiddon; son, Jimmy Wayne Whiddon; and husband Curtis Williams.
Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in the Junction, LA on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and Friday, March 6, 2015 from 9:00am until 2:00pm. Funeral service is Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hennigan cemetery in Merryville, LA. Rev. Jim Miers will officiate.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane Johnson ; sons, Darrien Johnson and Eli Johnson; daughter, Nicole Rosenthal ; sister, Wanda Johnson; and granddaughter, Ashley Torres all of DeRidder, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Robert Johnson, Sr.; 1 brother; and sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Carrie Johnson.

Rita “Diddy” Miller, 89, of DeRidder, LA went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2015. She was born in DeQuincy, LA on June 12, 1925. She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel J. Miller, Jr.; parents, Wilber E. Jones and Nell Pilley Jones; sister, Willie Rae Owens; nephews, Jimmy Owens and Mitchell Bass; step-grandson, Monte Landers.
She is survived by her son, David W. Miller and wife Linda West Miller of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Joyce Landers of Kilgore, TX; sisters, Marie Berryman and spouse Glen of Jasper, TX, Beth Bledsoe and spouse Edward of
Sarasota, FL, and Ann Segrest of Nederland, TX; nieces, Becky Owens Gatewood and spouse Jerry of Jasper, TX, Kathy Owens Hoxsey of Farmington, NM, Lisa Bass English and spouse Mark of Decatur, AL, Kelly Segrest McBride of Nederland, TX; nephews, Paul Berryman and wife Joyce of Woodville, TX, and Tim Berryman and wife Becky of Jasper, TX. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and the Pink Ladies at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service is Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder. Rev. Lindsey Burns will officiate.
