William F. Lovejoy, 59
West Yarmouth - William F. Lovejoy, 59, died May 8, 2001, at the Greenery Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
Mr. Lovejoy was born in Barnstable and raised and educated in Yarmouth, where he graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School.
At the age of 10, he and a friend invented a way to preserve moss for miniature railroad enthusiasts and they marketed their idea locally and by mail order. Mr. Lovejoy later became a flea market salesman and traveled the flea market circuit.
Along with his father, Mr. Lovejoy owned and operated a rug cleaning business on Cape Cod. He was an avid ham radio operator, gardener and landscape designer.
He is survived by his mother, Anna Ramona Lovejoy of Hyannis; two aunts, Jean Clowery and Florence Lovejoy, both of Barnstable; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 20, at 2 p.m. in Lothrop Hill Cemetery
in Barnstable.

Jo Ann J. O'Bannon, 70
Centerville - Jo Ann J. (Le Roux) O'Bannon, 70, of Centerville died May 11, 2001, at her home after a short illness.
She was the wife of Dr. James Y. O'Bannon, to whom she was married for 47 years.
She was born in Sherry, Wis., and was raised and educated there, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a degree in occupational therapy.
Mrs. O'Bannon served as a first lieutenant in the Women's Medical Specialty Corps of the Army, and retired after two years as a captain. She served in the Korean War.
She lived many years in North Palm Beach, Fla., before moving to Centerville in 1999.
Mrs. O'Bannon was a leader in Bible study fellowship in Florida and in Centerville. She was also a precept leader in Florida.
In addition to her husband, she leaves three daughters, Renee Silver of Willowbrook, Ill., Michelle Sgarlat of Centerville, and Andrea O'Bannon of Pensacola, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in Christ Chapel in Centerville.
Chaunce H. Powers, 51
Freeport, Bahamas - Chaunce H. Powers, 51, a longtime resident of Hyannis, died May 5, 2001, at Freeport General Hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident while working in the Bahamas.
He was the husband of Katie Fillipone.
Mr. Powers had a successful career as an architect, working in Boston, on Cape Cod and on the islands. He was also an artist and poet and spent a great deal of time at his cottage watching the sun set over the Hyannis marina. He helped create Hyannis' seasonal harbor lighting.
A celebration of his life was held at the Kelly Chapel in Yarmouthport. Burial was private.
Carl A. Riegert, 93
Centerville - Carl A. Riegert, 93, died May 6, 2001, at Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
He was the husband of the late Jeanette P. Riegert.
Mr. Riegert was born in New Milford, N.J., and lived most of his life in Oradell, N.J.
He was a teacher for many years at Sieldton School, Riverdale, N.Y.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol R. Enright and Mary R. Barr; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held in St. Joseph's Cemetery
in Hackensack, N.J.
Margaret C. Senoski, 86
Osterville - Margaret C. (Sullivan) Senoski, 86, a retired registered nurse and antiques dealer, died May 11, 2001, at the Cape Regency Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Michael J. Senoski.
Mrs. Senoski was born in Boston. She was a graduate of Charlestown High School and the Massachusetts State Infirmary Nursing School.
She worked as a registered nurse in Boston City Hospital and the New York Infirmary for Women and Children.
During war years, she worked in San Francisco and later did private duty nursing in Asheville, N.C.
She retired in 1971 from Tewksbury State Hospital, where she had worked in the obstetrics and pediatric units.
She and her husband, the late Michael J. Senoski, moved to Osterville in 1971 after having lived in Lowell and Billerica.
They opened The Cape Cod Landing, an antiques store and together enjoyed many buying trips through the northeast.
She was a founding member of the Cape Cod Antique Dealers Association. She was an avid reader and a participant in the Great Books Club at the Osterville Library as well as a member of the Friends of the Osterville Library.
She loved cats and over the years adopted many strays and abandoned animals. She was a member of the Friends of Felines of Sandwich.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Joyce Gendron of East Sandwich; two sons, Michael J. Senoski Jr. of Medfield and Richard T. Senoski of Barnstable; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Osterville. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery
in Osterville.
Carlton Roland Souza, 69
Osterville - Carlton Roland Souza, 69, a resident of Osterville, died May 5, 2001, at Millbrook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wareham after a long illness.
Born in Cotuit, Mr. Souza graduated from Barnstable High School in 1950, where he was class president. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Souza was vice president of the Osterville Home & Garden Shop, where he worked for 20 years. He loved traveling.
Surviving are a brother, George A. Souza of Osterville; and several cousins.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Osterville. Burial was in Mosswood Cemetery
in Cotuit.

Felicia F. Finn, 71
Centerville - Felicia Fuller Finn, 71, of Centerville, died May 18, 2001, at her home.
She was the wife of John Ireland Finn for 43 years.
Mrs. Finn was raised in Port Arthur, Tex., and earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Texas . In 1961, she earned a master's degree in education. After teaching in Pecos and Houston, Tex., she traveled to Venezuela to teach. While there, she met and married her husband and had her first child.
Mrs. Finn was an avid tennis player, winning many tournaments and trophies. She loved to garden and was active in garden clubs. She was a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout den mother.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Lisa Finn-Kreidemann of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kelly Finn of Sacramento, Calif.; a son, John I. Finn Jr. of Worcester; a brother, Joseph R. Fuller of Houston; and a sister, Sandra Barlow of Basking Ridge, N.J.
A funeral was held in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home in Marstons Mills. Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery
in Centerville.

David I. 'Dovey' Fleming, 87
Centerville - David I. "Dovey" Fleming, 87, a resident of Centerville, died May 13, 2001, at the Cape Heritage Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Sandwich.
He was the husband of Peggy (Corrigan) Fleming.
Born in Milton, Mr. Fleming was raised in Hyde Park and attended Boston schools. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of the American Legion's Fogg-Roberts Post.
Mr. Fleming worked for the city of Boston Parks and Recreation Department for 26 years before retiring as supervisor in 1978.
Besides his wife, he is survived by eight daughters, Jane Villane of Lynnfield, Sally Burke of Yarmouth, Susan Tebo of Centerville, Barbara Chamberland of South Yarmouth, Paula Nowicki of Pocasset, and Louise Fleming, Frances Mariano, and Rhonda Fleming, all of Hyde Park; three sons, Peter Fleming of Norwood, David Fleming of Cohasset and William Fleming of Barnstable; 22 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Pius X Church in Milton. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery
in Bourne.
