Kelly Ann Durant, 32

Hyannis - Kelly Ann (Rota) Durant, 32, formerly of Easthampton, died Oct. 4, 2001, at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community Pavilion after a long illness with cancer.
She was the wife of John T. Durant.
Born in Holyoke, she was raised and educated in Easthampton. She attended Holyoke Community College and Cape Cod Community College.
Mrs. Durant and her husband moved to Cape Cod in 1994. She spent most of her life with her family and raising her children.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Alan "Tony" Rota and Melanie Rota of Easthampton; a son, Daniel J. Durant of Hyannis; a daughter, Sarah Marie Durant of Hyannis; and two brothers, George McGinnes and James Johnson, both of Easthampton.
A service of remembrance was held at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 923 Route 6A, Yarmouthport, MA 02675; or to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Jimmy Fund, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.

Myra Hamilton, 104

Centerville - Myra (Naylor) Hamilton, 104, died Oct. 11, 2001, at her home.
She was the wife of the late Otto B. Hamilton.
Born and raised in Abington, she moved to Cape Cod in 1956, where she enjoyed her life as a wife, mother and homemaker.
Surviving are a son, James B. Hamilton of South Dennis; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Joan M. Lees, 46

West Dennis - Joan M. (Sannicandro) Lees, 46, a resident of West Dennis, died Oct. 10, 2001, at her home after a brief illness.
Born, raised and educated in Milford, Ms. Lees moved to Hyannis in 1985 and most recently to West Dennis.
She worked as a seamstress and founded Hems While You Wait in Hyannis.
Ms. Lees was a member of Gold's Gym in Hyannis and was an avid bodybuilder. In 2000, she placed first in a bodybuilding championship in Naples, Fla., and also placed second in a bodybuilding championship on Cape Cod.
Besides her father, she is survived by a son, Jamie Celozzi of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Eren Rose of West Yarmouth and Vanessa Lees of Marstons Mills; two brothers, John Sannicandro of Dedham and Joseph Sannicandro of Naples, Fla.; three sisters, Gloria Racine of Bellingham, Merryellen Walker of Hyannis and Diane Papalian of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a late date.

Katharine C. MacGregor, 95

Nashua, N.H. - Katharine C. (Capen) MacGregor, 95, a former resident of Barnstable, died Oct. 8, 2001, at the Hunt Community in Nashua.
She was the wife of Forbes MacGregor of Falmouth, who died in 1993.
Born in Sharon, Mrs. MacGregor attended Connecticut College for Women and later worked in public relations for the Deaconess Hospital in Boston. There she met and later married her first husband, the late Dr. Warren F Cook, director of the hospital.
In 1965, she and her second husband began an antiques business, first in Barnstable and later in Hopkinton and Durham, N.Y. She later moved to Hunt Community in 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Sobel of Tiverton, R.I.; a son, Christopher Cook of Portsmouth, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the future.

Arline L. Marcoux, 79

Hyannis - Arline L. Marcoux, 79, formerly of South Berwick, Maine, died Oct. 5, 2001, at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care - Pavilion in Hyannis.
Born in Rollinsford, N.H., Mrs. Marcoux worked in South Berwick in local factories and also as a cook at Spring Hill Recreation.
She moved to Hyannis in 1966 and worked as a cook at Beechwood Inn and most recently worked for Chef Sigmund's Chowder.
For the last several years, she lived at the Pavilion in Hyannis.
She was also active in St. Michael's Catholic Women's Club and State of Maine Catholic Women's Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia M. McTigue of Hyannis; three sisters, Gertrude DeRoy, Evelyn Willams, and Jeanette Fontaine all of South Berwick; two brothers, Richard Marcoux of Sebring, Fla., and Roland "John" Marcoux of Centerville; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at St. Michael's Church in South Berwick. Burial followed at the New Town Cemetery in Rollinsford.

Margaret 'Peg' Moore, 70

Hampton, Va. - Margaret "Peg" Moore, 70, a former resident of Hyannis, died unexpectedly Oct. 7, 2001.
Born in Skowhegan, Maine, she attended Northfield School for Girls in Northfield, Mass., and then attended Bates College School for Nursing for two years.
She settled in Hyannis in 1978 and worked as a teller and administrative assistant at the Cape Cod Cooperative Bank in Yarmouthport.
She retired in 1997. She moved to Hampton in 2000.
She was a member of the choir and congregation of the Phoebus United Methodist Church in Hampton and volunteered at the YMCA.
Surviving are two sons, Leslie Moore of Orleans and Stephen Moore of Hampton; a daughter, Karen Stokes of O'Fallon, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Phoebus United Methodist Church in Hampton. Burial will take place later this fall in Hartland, Maine.
Memorial donations may be made to the Renovation Fund, Phoebus United Methodist Church, 300 E. Mellen St., Hampton, VA 23663.

Kimberly Ellen Quick, 34

Barnstable - Kimberly Ellen Quick, 34, a resident of Barnstable, died unexpectedly Oct. 7, 2001.
She was the daughter of Billie Quick of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
A longtime Cape resident, she worked for the May Institute and as a personal home nurse. She enjoyed reading, cycling and spending time with family and friends.
Besides her mother, she is survived by a close friend, Jack Hamilton of Yarmouth; a brother, Bert Quick of Plymouth; two sisters, Robin Quick of Barnstable and Alison Quick of Eastham; two nephews; and three nieces.
A funeral service was held at Hallett Funeral Home in South Yarmouth. Burial followed in Woodside Cemetery in Yarmouthport.
Memorial donations may be made to Independence House, 160 Basset Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Lucille Mary Roscoe, 69

Franklin - Lucille Mary (Perito) Roscoe, 69, formerly of Cotuit, died Oct. 8, 2001, at Newton Wellesley Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of Richard F. Roscoe.
Born and raised in Brockton, Mrs. Roscoe was a graduate of St. Patrick's Parochial School in Brockton. After graduation, she worked briefly as a teller at Brockton Savings Bank.
A former resident of Sherborn for 16 years, she and her husband moved to Cotuit, where they lived for 11 years, moving to Franklin last year. She was also a summer resident of Dennisport since 1956.
Mrs. Roscoe enjoyed golf, crafts, knitting, designing and making Nantucket lightship baskets and creating decorative flower arrangements.
She was a member of Our Lady's Guild at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Osterville.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Sylvia (Ciavarra) Perito of Franklin; three sons, Richard F. Roscoe Jr. of Marlboro, and Jeffrey A. Roscoe and Steven M. Roscoe, both of Franklin; a sister, Barbara A. Perito of Franklin; and two grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Linus Church in South Natick. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery there.
Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 495 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, MA 01701.
