Pamela Marie Murray, 49

Conifer, Colo. - Pamela Marie Murray, 49, a resident of Conifer and a native Cape Codder, died last April 6, 2002, at her home.
She was the wife of James Francis Murray since 1974.
Mrs. Murray was born in Hyannis and attended Cape Cod Community College in West Barnsable.
She worked at Conifer High School as a teacher's aide and was a volunteer for Mount Evans Hospice.
Her interests were traveling, reading, backpacking and her dog Tashmoo.
She was devoted to her children's educational development.
Mrs. Murray was a member of Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Dane of Conifer; a daughter, Sarah of Conifer; her father, Thomas J. Moore Sr. of Centerville; three brothers, Thomas J. Moore Jr. of Boston, William Moore of Centerville and Robert Moore of Martha's Vineyard; a stepbrother, Richard Malmgren of Centerville; two stepsisters, Sonja Louro of Randolph and Brenda Woodruff of Bridgeport, Texas ; and two half sisters, Jennifer Macho of West Milford, N.J., and Moira Cabral of Cotuit.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.

Ruby Mae Peters, 84

Hyannis - Ruby Mae (Ellis) Peters, 84, a native Cape Codder, died April 8, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community - Pavilion after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Albert Peters.
Born, raised and educated in Harwich, Mrs. Peters worked for the former New England Telephone Co. as an operator for many years. She also worked for Acme Laundry, retiring in the 1960s.
Mrs. Peters lived in Barnstable in earlier years and later was a resident of Hyannis for many years.
She enjoyed flower gardening and sports and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Mrs. Peters was a member of the Federated Church of Hyannis, the Telephone Pioneers of America and the American Legion of Hyannis Post 206, and was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are four sons, David Henderson Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., Paul "Hollywood" Henderson and Richard Henderson, both of Hyannis, and Bobby Henderson of West Roxbury; a daughter, Robin Peters of Hyannis; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Peter Henderson.
A graveside service was held in Oak Neck Cemetery in Hyannis.

Hannah V. 'Ann' Roppolo, 92

Centerville - Hannah V. "Ann" (Giurlando) Roppolo, 92, a resident of Centerville, died April 9, 2002, at her home after a long illness with emphysema and congestive heart failure.
She was the wife of Joseph Roppolo, also 92, for 62 years.
In 1998, Mrs. Roppolo and her husband moved from their home of 25 years in Massapequa, Long Island, New York, to Centerville with their daughter and granddaughter. Before becoming housebound, she participated in Centerville's adult day care program.
Born in Queens, N.Y., Mrs. Roppolo lived in Queens Village for 17 years before moving to Long Island. She worked for New York Telephone Co. for 35 years. At retirement in 1968, she became involved in fund-raising activities for the Long Island Senior Pops Orchestra, where her husband played violin.
Mrs. Roppolo loved baseball. An avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, then the New York Mets, she proved to be a true hometown fan, faithful to the Boston Red Sox during her four years in New England. As the matriarch of her Italian family, she was known for her warm hospitality.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Joanne Irwin of Centerville and Naples, Fla.; a brother, Paul Giurlando of New York; a granddaughter; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at John-Lawrence Funeral Home in Marstons Mills.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 270 Communication Way, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Helena M. Stevens, 87

West Yarmouth - Helena M. "Stevie" Stevens, 87, a resident of West Yarmouth and former resident of Hyannis, died April 4, 2002.
She grew up in North Adams and received her degree as a registered nurse from North Adams Hospital School of Nursing in 1936.
She was an operating room nurse at Waltham Hospital, and was the head nurse at the Walter E. Fernald State School in Waltham for a number of years. She lived for more than 25 years in Arlington before retiring to Hyannis, where she began her second career as part owner of the Beechwood Inn and Manor on Main Street.For the last eight years she lived at Mayflower Place in West Yarmouth.
A memorial service will be held on May 4 at 11 a.m. at Mayflower Place Retirement Center on Buck Island Road in West Yarmouth.

David Stubbs Webber, 81

Marstons Mills - David Stubbs Webber, 81, a resident of Marstons Mills, died April 10, 2002, at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Sandwich.
Born and educated in Augusta, Maine, he served with the Army during World War II.
Mr. Webber was the proprietor of Auto Marine in Osterville for many years. He later worked for Chester Crosby Boat Yard in Osterville. He was a marine electrician and taught electronics at the Franklin Institute in Boston.
He served on the board of Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich. He was also a beekeeper.
He is survived by his wife, Carole L. Webber of Marstons Mills.
Services and burial were private.
Memorial donations may be made to the Marstons Mills Public Library, P.O. Box 9, Marstons Mills, MA 02648.

Catherine V. Wenger, 79

Centerville - Catherine V. (Davin) Wenger, 79, a resident of Centerville, died April 8, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Robert H. Wenger.
Born, raised and educated in Jamaica Plain, Mrs. Wenger began working for the federal government right after completing her education.
She was with the Draft Board in Boston from 1940 to 1945 and was with the General Service Administration from 1945 to 1960. She later worked for NASA from 1960 to 1968 and was with U.S. Customs from 1969 to 1979. She retired in 1979 after 35 years of service with the federal government.
Mrs. Wenger moved from Roslindale to Centerville in 1982. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville and a member of the Our Lady of Victory Women's Guild, as well as a member of the Barnstable Tuesday Group.
She enjoyed wood carving, bowling and swimming.
Surviving are a son, Robert J. Wenger of Windsor, Conn.; a daughter, Barbara A. Spracklin of Burlington; three sisters, Mary O'Connell of Centerville, Frances Guarino of Revere and Patricia Lovell of Amesbury; and six grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
Memorial donations may be made to C-O-MM Rescue Squad, 1875 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA 02632.

Robert D. 'Uncle Bob' Wilson Sr., 73

Centerville - Robert D. "Uncle Bob" Wilson Sr., 73, a resident of Centerville, died April 11, 2002, at the home of his daughter in Kennesaw, Ga.
He was the husband of Luella (Moore) Wilson, who died in 1997.
Born in Cambridge, he was raised and educated in Newmarket, N.H., where he graduated from high school.
Mr. Wilson was a veteran of three wars: World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. He joined the Air Force in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1973 as master sergeant.
After his career with the Air Force, Mr. Wilson moved to Centerville. He worked as a civilian for the Coast Guard Station in Woods Hole and was the flight-line supervisor at Cape Cod Airport. His favorite job after retirement was being the Osterville drawbridge tender.
His favorite pastime was going out on his boat, Low Tide, and going down to Prince Cove Marina.
Surviving are a son, Robert D. Wilson Jr. of Cummaquid; three daughters, Peggy Pepper of Kennesaw, Ga., Linette Wyatt of Redmond, Wash., and Christine Canup of Spring Lake, N.C.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four nieces; and six nephews.
A funeral service was held at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis.
Memorial donations may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers, Attn: Development Department, 161 South Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.

Sam Brocato Jr., 46

Marstons Mills - Sam Brocato Jr., 46, a Marstons Mills resident, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 25, 2002 at his home.
Born in Beaumont, Texas , Mr. Brocato moved to Hyannis at an early age. He grew up in Hyannis and was a graduate of Barnstable High. Mr. Brocato entered the Air Force after completing his education.
After his military service, he returned home to Marstons Mills. He later started his own business as a painting contractor. He was actively working in the business, Brocato & Sons, at the time of his death.
He loved spending time with his family, coaching and participating with his kids in sports. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dog.
Survivors include three sons, Justin J. Brocato, Joseph P. Brocato and Brandon M. Brocato, all of South Yarmouth; two daughters, Jamie L. Brocato and Kelley M. Brocato, both of South Yarmouth; and his mother, Ruby Anderson of Colorado.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday in Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S. Main St., Centerville.
Burial followed in Marstons Mills Cemetery.
