Cathy A. Fraser, 41

Cotuit - Cathy A. (Marcoux) Fraser, 41, a resident of Cotuit, died Dec. 30, 2002, in Newry, Maine.
She was the wife of Dean C. Fraser for 18 years.
Mrs. Fraser was born in Dover, N.H. She graduated from Barnstable High School in 1979 and was also a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island.
She was employed at Cape Cod Hospital as a unit secretary on South 3.
She was a member of the Osterville Anglers Club and enjoyed entertaining, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Caitlin and Alyssa; her parents, Roland (John) and Sylvia Marcoux of Centerville; two sisters, Sandra Eldridge of Hyannis and Lori Ann Geiler of Marstons Mills; a brother, Dr. John T. Marcoux of Maynard; a grandmother, Arline Tondreault of Dover, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. Burial followed at the Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.

Arnold C. 'Red' Lane, 88

Centerville - Arnold C. "Red" Lane, 88, of Centerville, died Dec. 29, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
He was the husband of the late Ruth (Norris) Lane and the late Marjorie (Draper) Lane.
Mr. Lane was born in Peterborough, N.H., and was a graduate of Barnstable High School and the University of Maine. He received his master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania .
He was an agent for the Barnstable County Extension Service, retiring in 1980.
He loved animals and was a member of the American Kennel Club and the Cape Cod Kennel Club, where he was past president. He also served on the Barnstable County Fair Scholarship Committee and was a longtime Mason.
Surviving are a son, Arnold C. Lane Jr. and a daughter, Dee Delaney, both of West Barnstable; a stepson, Robert Mingie of Markham, Ontario; 10 grandchildren; and one niece.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 270 Communication Way, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Joan Bridget Mahoney, 71

Sebastian, Fla. -- Joan Bridget Mahoney, 71, a former resident of East Falmouth and Osterville, died Dec. 2, 2002, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach after a long illness.
Ms. Mahoney was born in Pawtucket, R.I., and moved to Florida 17 years ago.
She worked in the nursing field for many years on Cape Cod and then worked for the Visiting Nurses Association of Indian River County in Vero Beach for 15 years.
She was a member of Saint Sebastian Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Michaela (Kala) Baxter of Roseland, Fla.; three sons, Dan Mahoney of Alexandria, Va., Dennis Mahoney of Vero Beach, Fla., and Timothy Mahoney of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held in Sebastian.
Memorial donations may be made to VNA-Hospice House, 901 37th St., Vero Beach FL 32960.

Danuel Lee 'Danny' Mendes

New Bedford -- Danuel lee "Danny" Mendes, 25, died Dec. 14, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital.
He was the husband of Shaelene (Pires) Mendes.
Mr. Mendes was born in Boston and raised and educated in Hyannis. He attended Barnstable High School, where he played football and basketball. He worked in construction and landscaping.
He enjoyed his boxing lessons and was a Boy Scout for several years. He also enjoyed traveling with his family.
Surviving besides his wife are his parents, Manuel W. Mendes of Boston and Tyianne L. Mendes of Hyannis; three brothers, Manny and Andy of Hyannis and Damien of Boston; a sister, Renae of Boston; seven children: Danny Jr. of Marstons Mills, Danae, Trinity, Jeniay and Shahlece of New Bedford, DajaNay and Yanasia of Hyannis; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Mr. Mendes was also the father of the late Kareem Mendes and Zanaya Mendes.
A funeral was held at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis. Burial followed at Beechwood Cemetery.

Maja Milenkovic, 46

Centerville - Maja Milenkovic, 46, a resident of Centerville, died Dec. 30, 2002, at her home following a brief illness.
She was the wife of Toma Stamenkovic.
Ms. Milenkovic was born in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, and was raised and educated in Belgrade. She was a graduate of the University of Belgrade. After graduating, she received a Fullbright Scholarship and continued her education at Columbia University in New York. She moved there in 1984 and married shortly thereafter, settling in Manhattan.
While living in New York, she worked for Newbel Inc. of New York City. She moved to Cape Cod in 1998, where her husband had relocated to run his business, the Pain D'Avignon Bakery in Hyannis. She worked for Tourco of Hyannis.
Ms. Milenkovic was an avid reader, enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with friends.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Gagi Stamenkovic; and her parents, Milutin and Smilja (Rakic) Milenkovic.
A memorial service was held at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Centerville. Burial will be in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.

Richard C, Miller, 77

Hyannis -- Richard C. Miller, 77, a resident of Hyannis and formerly of Eastham, Newton and Wellesley, died Dec. 15, 2002, at the Hyannis Skilled Care Center.
He was the husband of the late Margaret M. Miller.
Mr. Miller graduated from Noble & Greenough School in 1941 and Harvard College in 1949. He was a veteran of World War II and worked as a design engineer.
He is survived by a stepson, Michael A. West of Boston, and a nephew.
A funeral was held in the Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Eastham.

Dana L. Moore, 67

West Harwich -- Dana L. Moore, 67, a resident of West Harwich, died Dec. 14 at Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brewster after a long illness with cancer.
He was the husband of Carol (Jenkins) Moore.
Born in Lynn and raised in Rhode Island, Mr. Moore graduated from Boston University, married in 1959 and settled in Glastonbury, Conn. He moved to Norwell, where he was vice president of operations at Jenkins Transportation Co. He later moved to Hartland, New Brunswick, where he was vice president of several businesses.
In 1986, he moved to Harwich Port and worked in sales for the former Warren Buick Co. of Hyannis.
Surviving besides his wife are his father, Abram Moore of Sarasota, Fla.; two sons, Jeffrey D. Moore of Burlington, Ontario and Todd J. Moore of Davidson, N.C.; two daughters, Wendy Moore of Chicago and Jennifer Moore of Oak Park, Ill.; a brother, John L. Moore of Sarasota, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial celebration of his life was held at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich, with burial in Island Pond Cemetery there.

Joseph Myles Nee, 86

Marstons Mills -- Joseph Myles Nee, 86, formerly of Vero Beach, Fla., died Dec. 14, 2002, in Marstons Mills.
He was the husband of Mary T. (Lydon) Nee for nearly 60 years.
Mr. Nee graduated from Northeastern University in 1940 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He was a disabled Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War. His military duty included a course in naval architecture at the University of Michigan. He worked on the design of the first atomic-powered submarine, the Nautilus.
He was a retired utilities engineer specializing in gas safety for the state Department of Public Utilities.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mary Jo Kittle of Arlington, Va., and Barbara S. Swanson of Hingham; a sister, Rita F. Russell of Norwood; and four grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in Christ the King Chapel in Mashpee. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Margaret P. Owen

Sterling, Va. -- Margaret Owen, a resident of Sterling, died last month at her home.
She was the wife of the late David M. Owen.
Mrs. Owen was born in Somerville. She moved to Bass River in 1954 and worked for AT&T in Hyannis. She moved to Sterling two years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Gail Jordon and Donna Hirsch; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service was held at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, Va.
