F. Bernice Sullivan, 74

Cotuit - F. Bernice (Kohl) Sullivan, 74, of Cotuit died Feb. 13, 2003, at the Harborside Nursing Center in Falmouth.
She was the wife of Daniel P. Sullivan.
Mrs. Sullivan was born and raised in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School and Burdett Jr. Business College. She started her career as a secretary for the Department of Labor and Industries for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 1947-1954 and took time out to become a homemaker and raise her three sons. She later returned to work at various retail stores and from 1983-1993 worked as a sales associate for Filene's Basement in Dedham.
She and her husband had lived in Walpole for 38 years and retired to the Cape in 1994, living in Cotuit. Mrs. Sullivan was a communicant of Christ the King Parish in Mashpee.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, David K. Sullivan of North Conway, N.H., Paul G. Sullivan of Northfield, N.H., and Daniel B. Sullivan of Chesapeake, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in Christ the King Church in Mashpee. Burial was in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Moses Tokee, 87

Centerville - Moses Tokee, 87, of Centerville died Feb. 12, 2003, at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Pavilion in Hyannis.
He was the husband of Irma M. (Selin) Tokee for more than 50 years.
Mr. Tokee was born in Quincy and raised in Finland. He worked for more than 24 years at Otis Air Force Base. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater from 1942-1945, including the Marshall Islands, Leyte and Okinawa operations. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Oak Leaf Cluster and Purple Heart.
Mr. Tokee had a keen interest in all veterans' activities, and was a life member of V.F.W. Post 2578 and the D.A.V. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in West Barnstable, enjoyed travel and was an excellent craftsman.
Surviving besides his wife are a sister, Sylvi Lahteinen of Finland; two nieces; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
A memorial service was held in First Lutheran Church in West Barnstable. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Rose P. Watson, 80

West Yarmouth - Rose P. (Athanas) Watson, 80, of West Yarmouth died Feb. 7, 2003, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
She was the wife of the late Chester Watson.
Mrs. Watson was born in Boston and educated in Lynn, graduating from Lynn English High School.
She worked with her family's business at the Glover House Restaurant in Marblehead and at Anthony's Cummaquid Inn in Yarmouthport, which she managed for more than 20 years. She was a devoted mother and wife and loved working at her family's business.
Mrs. Watson was a member of the Albanian Orthodox Cathedral of St. George in South Boston.
She is survived by a son, Michael E. Watson of West Yarmouth; two brothers, Anthony Athanas and Arthur Athanas, both of Swampscott; a sister, Dorothy Melchondia of Lynnfield; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at Albanian Orthodox Cathedral of St. George in South Boston. Burial was in Ancient Cemetery in Yarmouthport.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Southeastern Massachusetts, One Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346.

The Rev. William Wallace Williams III, 82

Hyannis - The Rev. William Wallace Williams III, 82, of Hyannis died Feb. 8, 2003, at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury.
He was the husband of Ethel Mae (Tompkins) Williams.
The Rev. Williams was born in Braintree, graduated from Barnstable High School in 1937, attended Amherst College and graduated from Gordon College in Boston in 1950. He finished his studies at Andover-Newton Theological School in 1955.
Before his college studies, he enlisted in the Navy Armed Guard during World War II, serving as a signalman on the USS Carleton. He was the first American prisoner to be captured by the Germans and was a prisoner of war for 33 months.
The Rev. Williams was ordained as an American Baptist minister in 1956. He served in American Baptist churches in Kingston, Plymouth, Barnstable, Hyannis, Haverhill, Lanesboro, Manomet and Dorchester; in Springfield, Mo., where he served as chaplain of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons from 1959 to 1963; and in Kennewick and Waterville, Wash. He retired in 1985, but continued pastoring area churches in Massachusetts as an interim minister until he became too ill to continue.
He was a member of Ex-POWs, Boy Scouts of America and Order of the Eastern Star, and was a 50-year member of the Masonic Order, Centerville chapter. He enjoyed woodworking, carving crafts such as wooden earrings, biking and especially sailing.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, William W. Williams IV of West Greenwich, R.I.; three daughters, Jane Costa of Plymouth, Bonnie Williams of Hyannis and Nancy DeFord of Chelan, Wash.; a sister, Barbara Baker of Hyannis; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church in Hyannis.

Ralph J. Bolderson

Centerville - Ralph J. Bolderson of Centerville died March 16, 2003, at Cranberry Pointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Harwich after a long illness.
He was the husband of Helen (Corcoran), whom he married in 1981. He was the former husband of Mildred G. (Stewart), who died in 1978. They were married in 1939.
Mr. Bolderson was born in Fall River, raised and educated in Somerset and graduated from Somerset High School. He worked in the print works industry when he moved to Lawrence, and after marrying his first wife, settled in North Andover. He worked for Glennie's Milk Co. as a milkman for many years. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army from 1943 to 1946.
In 1965 he moved to Hyannis, where he owned and operated The Wallpaper Shoppe on Main Street until his retirement in 1980.
Mr. Bolderson was a 32nd degree Mason with the Cochichewick Lodge A.F. & A.M. in North Andover. He loved to travel, especially to Tieria Verde, Fla., every winter, and was an avid golfer, fisherman and gardener.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Gail B. Haley of Rockland and Marsha B. Middleton of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Gibbs Cemetery, Buffington Street, Somerset.

Col. George Clark Campbell, 84

Sandwich - Col. George Clark Campbell, 84, of Sandwich died March 16, 2003, following a long illness.
He was the husband of Ruth A. (Condon) Campbell for 60 years.
Mr. Campbell was born in Santuit and lived most of his life in Cotuit and Sandwich. He graduated from Barnstable High School and Becker College in Worcester before enlisting in the Army in 1942.
He served with the fifth Army in Africa and Italy during World War II and with the 45th Infantry Division in Korea in 1951 and 1952. In 1965, he served as a military aide to Gov. Volpe.
After retiring in 1972 with 31 years of service in the Massachusetts National Guard, he received the Massachusetts Medal of Merit. During the last six years of his service, he was a battalion commander and retired as a colonel.
Following his retirement, he became a full-time director of the Barnstable County Fair and was largely responsible for facilitating its move to the fair's current location on Route 151 in Falmouth. His love of the fair kept him involved for more than 25 years as a fair director.
During his lifetime, Mr. Campbell held several high-ranking positions in civic organizations, including chairman of the board of water commissioners in Cotuit, treasurer of the Barnstable Housing Authority and chairman of the Sandwich Republican Town Committee. He was also a member of organizations including the Sandwich Historical Society, Sandwich Advisory Landscape Council and American Legion Post 188.
Surviving besides his wife are three children, Elise George of Hyannis, Clark Campbell of Kosovo and Arlene Wennerstrom of West Yarmouth; a sister, Edna Tatro of Middlebury, Vt.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Corpus Christi Parish Church in Sandwich. Burial followed at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
Memorial donations may be made to the Barnstable County Fair Scholarship Fund, 1220 Nathan Ellis Highway, East Falmouth, MA 02536; to Corpus Christi Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1170, East Sandwich, MA 02563; or the the charity of one's choice.

Kenneth E. Cowan, 80

Centerville ­ Kenneth Edward Cowan, 80, died March 25, 2003, at S.W. Florida Regional Medical Center in Ft. Myers, Fla.
He was the husband of Marcia (Richmond) Cowan for 57 years.
Born in Orleans, Mr. Cowan was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II stationed aboard the Long Island. In later years, he was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, participating in coastal patrols.
After living in North Middleboro, he returned permanently to the Cape in 1961. He retired after 36 years as a linotype operator for the Brockton Enterprise.
He loved playing and singing music. He was a member of the South Congregational Church Choir and an original member of the Chatham Chorale. He played baritone horn for 30 years in the Barnstable Band.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Dennis Cowan of Brewster; a daughter, Deborah Stewart of Hyannis; and two granddaughters. He was also the father of the late Diane Cowan Horne. He was the brother of Herbert and Laurence of Middleboro, Melbourne of Taunton, and George of Bridgewater.
A service will be announced at a later date.

Eunice Dixon, 82

Hyannis - Eunice Dixon, 82, of Hyannis died March 17, 2003, at Boston University Medical Center.
She was the wife of John F. Dixon, who died in 1983.
Mrs. Dixon was born, raised and educated in Fowlstown, Ga. She moved to Hyannis in 1965 from Bainbridge, Ga.
She was an active member of the Zion Union Church and was a member of the choir and mother of the church. She was also a member of NAACP. She enjoyed singing, cooking and attending meetings at her church.
Surviving are three sons, John D. Dixon of Exeter, N.H., Phillip L. Dixon of Randolph and Willie J. Dixon of Hyannis; two daughters, Lillie R. Davis of Mattapan and Annie L. Jackson of Randolph; a sister, Ruth Tyler of Bainbridge; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held at Zion Union Church in Hyannis, followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
