James M. Gilmore, 19

NORTH ATTLEBORO- James M. Gilmore, Airman 1st Class, USAF, age 19,
of North Attleboro died Saturday
morning, June 2, 2001 near Mobile, Alabama as the result of injuries received
in an automobile accident.

Born Decmeber 16, 1981 in Attleboro, he was a son of Mark S. and Susan (Ross)
Gilmore of North Attleboro.

He was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and a graduate of North
Attleboro High School, Class of 2000.

An Airman 1st Class in the United States Air Force, he was stationed at the
Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi for the past six months. He
completed his basic training at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio,
Texas .

He was a student of the 332nd Training Squadron at the Advanced Technological
Avionics Training School at Keesler Air Force Base, majoring in
communications and navigation systems.

He was a communicant of Saint Marys Church in North Attleboro and a prior alter server there.
He was an avid camper, working three summers at Camp
Resolute in Bolton, Massachusetts.

He was a past member of the North Attleboro Little League, playing on teams
from Hash through the Babe Ruth level and was active in the Boy Scouts, attaining the
rank of Eagle Scout.

Besides his parents, survivors include a brother, Steven Gilmore of home;
two sisters, Erin and Ashley Gilmore, both of home;
grandparents, Ralph and Donna (Dagosta) Gilmore of North Attleboro;
great-grandparents, Gertrude Dagosta of North Attlebobo and Helen Ross of
South Carolina. He was also survived by many aunts, uncle, cousins and
friends.

He was a grandson of the late Doris (Ringuette) Ross.

A funeral will be held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove
Street, North Attleboro on Saturday, June 9 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in
St. Mary's Church, Park Street, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening, from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BSA Troop 32,
c/o North Attleboro Federal Credit Union, 31 North Washington Street,
North Attleboro, MA 02760.

Edna L. Gove, 94
QUINCY - Edna L. (Diedrich) Gove, 94, died Wednesday morning, July 25, 2001
in Sunbridge Nursing Home of Weymouth. She was the wife of the late Harold
F. Gove.

Born July 23, 1907 in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Carl G. and
Elizabeth A. (Crane) Diedrich.

Mrs. Gove was a lifetime resident of Quincy. She was a graduate of the
former Boston Normal School with a Cerificate in Education.

Before retiring, she was a teacher in the Quincy Public School System for
over 25 years and previously taught in the Boston Public School System.

Mrs Gove was the vice-president of the Resident Council at Sunbridge of
Weymouth Nursing Home and was also active in many other senior citizen
organizations.

Her survivors include a daughter, Edna L. Taarland and her husband, Tor
Taarland of Quincy and a granddaughter, Seri E. Horner of Chicago, IL.

She was mother of the late Robert C. Gove.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Parish of All Saints Ashmont, 209
Ashmont St., Dorchester on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Cedar
Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.

Visiting hours were held in the McHoul Funeral Home, 354 Adams St. (at
Neponset Ave.) Dorchester on Friday from 4 - 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parish of All Saints Ashmont
Memorial Fund, 209 Ashmont St., Dorchester, MA 02124.

Shaun M. Kenney, 37

North Attleboro- Shaun M. Kenney, 37, of North Attleboro died late Sunday
night, July 22, 2001 at his parents home in North Attleboro. He was the
longtime companion of Patricia J. McNamee.

Born May 11, 1964 in Fall River, he was a son of Russell J. and Aline
L.(Castonguay) Kenney.

Mr. Kenney has been a lifetime resident of North Attleboro and Plainville. He
attented Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro and was a graduate of King
Phillip Regional High School in Wrentham. He was also an alumni of Boston
University.

He was the owner of Shaun M. Kenney Building Repair for the past 6 years, he
previously worked for RJ Kenney for many years.

Mr. Kenney loved his children and was a devoted father.

His survivors include; two sons, Sean James McNamee and Corey James Kenney; a
daughter, Kara Joan Kenney, all of North Attleboro; three sisters, Cheryl A.
Milone of Charlotte, NC, Colleen A. Pusateri of Woonsocket and Kathleen A.
Alexander of Providence; two brothers, Michael E. Kenney of Providence and
Russell M. Kenney of Tallahassee, Fl; his grandmothers, Aline Clement of
Swansea and Rita Levesque of Tiverton, RI and many aunts, uncles, nieces and
nephews.

A funeral was held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street,
North Attleboro on Monday, July 30 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in
Sacred Heart Church, North Attleboro at 10 a.m. Burial was in Mt. Hope
Cemetery & Arboretum, Attleboro Falls.

David F. Morley, Sr., 84
DORCHESTER - David F. Morley, Sr., 84, of Linden Street died Friday evening,
July 6, 2001 in Carney Hospital, Dorchester. He was the husband of Frances
(Russ) Morley.

Born June 4, 1917 in Boston, he was a son of the late David W. and Jessie
(McNeill) Morley.

Mr. Morley was a lifelong resident of Linden Street in Dorchester and retired
in 1982 from General Motors where he worked as a service manager for 44 years.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, David F. Jr. of
Dorchester, Donald G. of Braintree and Douglas S. Morley of Apple Valley, CA;

a daughter, Karen A. Murphy of Stafford, VA; Also numerous grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held in the McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 354 Adams Street, Dorchester
on Monday evening at 5 p.m. Burial took place in Blue Hill Cemetery,
Braintree.

Lois J. Powers, 84

Eastham - Lois J. Powers, 84, died Thursday, August 2, 2001 at her home in
Eastham.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 40 years, John H. Powers in 1989
and one sister, Theodora Kelley in 1965.

Born February 9, 1917 in Red Bank, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late
George F. and Minnie M. (Myres) Illenberger.

Her family moved to Middletown, New York where she graduated from Middletown
High School. She attended Russell Sage College in New York and the
University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

She had a lengthy career in labor relations, both in the private sector and
the State of New York before retiring in Eastham in 1980.

Mrs. Powers was active in the Council On Aging in Eastham and a member of the
United Methodist Church in Eastham where she served on various committees.

She is survived by a niece, Kelda Kelley of Raton, New Mexico and a half
brother, John Illenberger of Crofton, Maryland. She is also survived by her
special friends, Florence and Kenneth Johnson of Truro.

A Memorial Service was held at the United Methodist Church in Eastham on
Friday, August 10 at 11 a.m. Interment took place in the National Cemetery
in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Council On
Aging, 1405 Nauset Road, No. Eastham, MA 02651.
