Priscilla Raymond, 100, worked at Pentagon

ATTLEBORO -- Priscilla M. Raymond, 100, died Thursday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro, after a period of failing health. She was the widow of Howard E. Raymond.

Born in Marlboro, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Conde) DAmico. She lived most her life in Marlboro before moving to Attleboro in 1983.

Mrs. Raymond worked as an interpreter at the U.S. Pentagon many years ago.

She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Marlboro and a member of the St. Mary's Parish in Attleboro.

Mrs. Raymond is survived by a daughter, Mary Zonfrillo of Plainville; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday from the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlboro, followed at 9 by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlboro. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Charles Paul, 78, plant supervisor

ATTLEBORO -- Charles H. Paul, 78, of 14 Rand Ave., South Attleboro, died Friday in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the widower of Lucette A. (Amest) Paul.

Mr. Paul worked for 20 years for the former Richflex Manufacturing Company of Lincoln, R.I. as a plant supervisor, retiring in 1972.

Born in Attleboro, he was the son of the late Moise and Sophia (Clavette) Paul. He lived most of his life in Attleboro.

Mr. Paul was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church of South Attleboro.

He was an army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Paul is survived by two daughters, Michele Whiting and Beverly Gaboury, both of South Attleboro; two sons, Charles H. Paul Jr. of New Gloucester, Maine, and Roger Paul of Deltona, Fla.; four grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside committal will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Newell Burying Ground, West Street, South Attleboro. Arrangements are by the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, Attleboro.

James Nolan, 64, avid golfer

NORTH ATTLEBORO -- James T. Nolan, 64, of 210 North Washington St., died Friday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of Claire (Doucette) Nolan.

Born in Attleboro, Dec. 31, 1936, he was the son of the late Timothy and Margaret (Dowdall) Nolan.

He was a 1954 graduate of North Attleboro High School.

He had worked part-time at Stop & Shop of North Attleboro since his retirement.

An avid golfer, Mr. Nolan played many area courses.

Mr. Nolan is survived by two sons, Timothy Nolan and Christopher Nolan, both of North Attleboro, and a daughter, Kathleen Lapointe of North Attleboro.

He was the brother of the late Rev. George Nolan, Peter Favali, Margaret Cote and Agnes Nolan. He also leaves eight grandchildren. He was stepson of the late Ambrose Favali.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Mary's Church, 14 Park St. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by John J. Diamond Funeral Home, North Attleboro.

John Wilk, 51

ATTLEBORO -- John L. "Buddy" Wilk, 51, of Brettonwood Drive, South Attleboro, died Monday in Sturdy Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Helen (Such) Wilk. He had resided in South Attleboro for the past 25 years, formerly living in Narragansett. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland where he had been a member of the national lacrosse team.

Mr. Wilk had been employed by the Cotter Corp. of Danvers for four years as a project manager.

He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by three daughters, Meaghan, Courtney and Ashley Wilk, all of North Attleboro; a sister, Melanie Wilk Thunberg of Wakefield, R.I.; his companion, Gail Dupras of South Attleboro, and his former wife, Colleen (Murphy) Wilk.

He was the father of the late Jason Wilk.

A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High St., Central Falls, R.I., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Baltic Street, South Attleboro. Burial will be private.

John Fletcher, 58

MANSFIELD -- John H. Fletcher, 58, died Sunday at home. He was the husband of Sandra (Donato) Fletcher.

Born in Boston on Sept. 28, 1942, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Frances (Maloney) Fletcher. He had resided in Mansfield for the past 21 years, and was a graduate of Mission High School in Boston.

Mr. Fletcher had been employed by Eastco in Westwood for 25 years, and had also worked as a Knights of Columbus Insurance Salesman. He had most recently worked as a salesman for the Sears Roebuck Co. of Natick, for the past three years.

He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, and had worked for many years at the church's September Fest.

Mr. Fletcher was a member of the George C. Shields Council 420 Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Sean and Kevin Fletcher, both of Mansfield; a daughter, Kimberly Fletcher of Mansfield; two brothers, Kenneth Fletcher of Cape Cod and Gerard Fletcher in California; three sisters, Elizabeth Crossman of Haverhill, Frances Fletcher of West Roxbury and Mary Foley of Whitinsville, and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Robert Fletcher.

A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., followed by a blessing at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St., Route 106.

Clarence Harmon, 73

NORTH ATTLEBORO -- Clarence S. Harmon, 73, died Monday in Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of Barbara (Hayes Lovejoy) Harmon and former husband of Blanche (Everton Fontaine) Harmon of Attleboro.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Dec. 26, 1927, he was a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Brocker) Harmon. He had resided in North Attleboro for over 50 years.

Mr. Harmon had been a maintenance painter at the Foxboro Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He then worked part-time as a parking attendant at FirstFed Bank in Attleboro for seven years.

He was a veteran of World War II and had served in the Marine Corps in Hawaii.

Mr. Harmon was a member of the Bristol Masonic Lodge and the American Legion Post of Foxboro. He was an avid sports person, and had enjoyed playing golf and traveling.

In addition to his wife and former wife, he is survived by two sons, Glenn Harmon of East Providence, R.I., and Leonard Harmon of Charlton; two daughters, Karen Harmon of North Attleboro and Betty Barton of Plainville; five stepsons, Donald Fontaine in Florida, Larry Fontaine of Attleboro, Richard Fontaine of Cumberland, David Lovejoy of Wrentham and Thomas Lovejoy of Attleboro; three stepdaughters, Sandra Sweeney of Attleboro, Colleen Price in Ohio and Donna Noviello of North Attleboro; a brother, Harry Harmon in Ohio; a half sister, Doris Leonello in Ohio; a half brother, Donald Freeman in Ohio; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late James, Betty and Glenn Harmon.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St., with the Rev. Maryalice Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum.

Kevin Flaherty, 58

NORTON -- Kevin J. Flaherty, 58, died Monday in the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Boston, he had resided in Norton for the past 17 years, previously living in Easton.

Mr. Flaherty had worked as a truck driver for Corafab in Mansfield and most recently as a bartender for the Sportsman Cafe in Norton.

He is survived by a son, Michael Flaherty in California; a daughter, Jeannine Blair of North Attleboro; two brothers, Dr. Charles Flaherty in New Jersey and Dennis Flaherty of North Attleboro; a granddaughter, and his former wife, Lorraine Flaherty of Canton.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John the Evangelist Church, Washington Street, Canton. Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro.

Arrangements are by the Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St., Canton.

Coletta Sias, 79

NORTON -- Coletta G. Sias, 79, died Sunday in the Epoch Health Care Center. She was the widow of Benjamin Sias Jr.

Born in Covington, Ky., on June 13, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna (Gallagher) Brenner. She was a graduate of Catholic schools in Kentucky, and moved to Norwood in 1941. She then moved to Plainville in 1985, then to Norton in 1993.

Mrs. Sias had been employed in the dietary department of the former Norwood Hospital, now Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood.

She had been very active with the Plainville Senior Citizens.

She is survived by four sons, Philip Sias of Plainville, John Sias of Grover Beach, Calif., David Sias of Shelby, Mont., and Mark Sias of Leadville, Colo.; four sisters, Joanne Miller, Dolores Brenner, Mary Storer and Stella Geiger, all in Kentucky; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Church, South Street, Wrentham, followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Arrangements are by the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, South Street, Wrentham.

Edith Calderwood, 93

SEEKONK -- Edith Calderwood, 93, of Melanie Circle, died Sunday in the Country Gardens Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Swansea. She was the widow of George Calderwood.

Born in Preston, England, she was the daughter of the late William and Letitia (Hindle) Hesketh. She had resided in Rehoboth for many years before moving to Seekonk.

Mrs. Calderwood had been a member of the Segregansett Country Club of Taunton and the Englewood Country Club, Englewood, Fla.

She was a member of the Seekonk Congregational Church and was one of its Ernest Workers. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a past matron of the Warwick Chapter, OES.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Hart of Seekonk; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in the church hall of the Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Avenue. Burial will be private.

John Correia, 89

ATTLEBORO -- John Gomes Correia, 89, of Horton Street, died Wednesday in the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Pleasant Street. He was the widower of Victoria (Dias) Correia who died May 1.

Born in Funchal, Medeira, Portugal on Feb. 26, 1912, he was a son of the late Antonio and Ursula Correia. He came to the United States in the 1940s.

Mr. Correia had been employed as an automatic transmission specialist at the former Criss Cadillac of Providence, now Herb Chambers Cadillac, for many years, retiring four years ago.

He had enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and time spent with his family.

He is survived by two sons, John Correia of South Yarmouth and Humberto Correia of Attleboro; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Hillside Cemetery, South Main Street, with the Rev. Don Weigan officiating.

Arrangements are by the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St.
