Paul Cantelli
1936 - 2000
Paul R. Cantelli Sr., of Carver, MA, age 63, died on May 2, 2000 at his home. He was the devoted husband of Elaine M. (Atkins) Cantelli of Carver.
Born in Quincy, MA on June 9, 1936, he was son of the late A. Joseph and Kathryn (Gaynor) Cantelli. He was educated in Quincy, and was a graduate of Quincy High School. He attended college in the Phillipine Islands. Mr. Cantelli entered the United States Air Force on January 14, 1955, and served as an airman 2nd class, being honorably discharged on November 13, 1958.
He was employed for many years by the Purity Supreme supermarkets at various locations as a receiver, retiring from the Manomet store in 1991. He lived in Carver for the past 4 years previously residing in Marshfield for over 30 years. He was a parishioner of the Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Carver, and a member of the Marshfield Roadrunners club. He was also a member of the Independence Mall Walkers Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Paul R. Jr., of Marshfield; Mark S. of Carver. Also survived by Cheryl A. Rodenhiser of Scituate; and Deborah M. Felaccio of Carver. He was cherished father-in-law of Eric Rodenhiser and Mike Felaccio. Also survived by his brother Joseph (Sonny) Cantelli of Braintree; and sisters Kathryn Calderone of Quincy; Mary Hughes of Chelmsford; Veronica Kapsis of Braintree and the late Margaret Cantelli of Salem. He was beloved grandfather of Adam and Lauren Hope Felaccio.
The funeral will take place on Friday, May 5, 2000 at 11: 15 A.M. from the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court Street, Plymouth, followed by a funeral mass at the Church of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, 126 S. Meadow Road, Plymouth, at 12 noon. Friends may call at the Cartmell Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetary, Bourne, MA. Donations in his memory may be made to the Jordan Hospital Oncology Department, 275 Sandwich Street, Plymouth, MA or the Cranberry Hospice Inc., 89 Court Street, Plymouth MA. 02360

Robert Cartmell
1921 - 1987
Robert Cartmell, age 65, died unexpectedly on May 24, 1987 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, MA. He was the devoted husband of Theresa L. (LaForest) Cartmell, of Plymouth. Beloved son of the late Robert A. and Annie (McNaboe) Cartmell of New Bedford.
Born in New Bedford MA on November 13, 1921, he was educated in New Bedford, and a graduate of Holy Family High School in 1940. He received his funeral director's license in 1947, after completing his education at the New England Institute of Anatomy in Boston. Mr. Cartmell moved to Plymouth in 1944, previously residing in New Bedford.
He was past president of the Plymouth Kiwanis Club and the Old Colony Club of Plymouth; Past Exalted Ruler of the Plymouth Lodge of Elks; member of the Cold Spring Athletic Club, the American Legion Post #40, the V.F.W. Post 1822, and the Massachusetts and National Funeral Director Associations. He was a member of the Plymouth Rod and Gun Club, and was a lifetime pistol master, having won the Massachusetts State Indoor Pistol Championship in the Expert Class in 1965.
In 1956, he was one of the three pilots to be appointed to the Governor's Advisory Council for the Sixth World Championship Parachuting Contest held at Orange, MA. A Class B Parachutist, participating in the Free Fall Sport Parachuting.
He served in the United States Navy on PT boats in the South Pacific; he was the holder of the Purple Heart and the Presidential Unit Citation. He participated in five major battles, and held reserve commission as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Criminal Investigation Detachment, Military Police Unit, Taunton, MA.
Beside his wife, Theresa, he is survived by his son, Greg Cartmell of Plymouth, MA and Meridian, MS; his daughter Kathy M. Cartmell-Sirrico of Plymouth, and the late Dr. John P. Cartmell. Also survived by his twin grandchildren, Nanette and Brandon Sirrico, both of Plymouth.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Peter's Church in Plymouth MA. Interment was held at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth MA.

George Murphy
1920 - 2000
George Murphy of South Boston died April 2, 2000. He was a retired Firefighter of the Boston Fire Department. Beloved husband of the late Sarah (Gillen) and devoted father of Sally Ann Cappi, Mary Madden, Catherine, Eileen, Julia, and Deborah Murphy. Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Joseph W. Casper and Sons Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Wednesday April 5 from 2: 00 to 4: 00 and 7: 00 to 9: 00, followed by a mass of Christian Burial on Thursday April 6, in Saint Brigid's Church, at 10: 00 AM. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. George was a member of the C.I.A. and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII

Marie St.Gelais
1950 - 2000
Mrs. Marie E. (Leahy) St. Gelais age 50 of Westford, MA died Dec. 13, 2000 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA.
She was married to Mr. Richard H. St. Gelais with whom she would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on April 10, 2001.
Born in Quincy, MA on July 7, 1950, the daughter of the late John and Edith (Durante) Leahy. She was a graduate of Weymouth High School with the class of 1968.
Over the years she was employed with Weymouth Naval Air Station and Hanscom Air Base as a mechanic, and the Westford School Dept., Westford Town Hall, and at the time of her death the Temple Beth Abraham in Nashua, NH as a custodian, she also drove the senior citizens van and was a volunteer worker for the seniors in Westford.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of North Chelmsford, MA where she was an active member of the church's Hospitality Committee, and taught C.C.D., and was active with the Junior Youth Group.
She was a member of the 61 Mixers Bowling Association, the Merrimack Valley Women's Bowling Association of which she was a board member.
In the past she was a member of the Boston Archdiocese CYO Board and for all her work she was awarded the Golden Eagle Cross from Cardinal Richard Cushing. She was also a past member and past President of the Lowell Chi-Rhio at St. Jean de Arch Church.
She helped start the Westford Softball League and was a past President, and was a past member of the Westford Traveling Softball Team.
Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters Tiffany M. St. Gelais, Crystal B. St. Gelais, Melissa A. St. Gelais, and Suzanne R. St. Gelais all of Westford, MA, and four sons and a daughter-in-law Richard H. and his wife Michelle (Savoy) St. Gelais Jr. of Lowell, Jonathan St. Gelais, and Dennis St. Gelais both of Westford, MA, and Jawn-Marc St. Gelais of Ayer, MA, and four sisters Barbara and her husband Alan Fuller of Hollywood, Fl, Jean Leahy and her partner Carol Gunzy of Bourne, MA, Judith Leahy and her partner Sonya Hamdyar of Trenton, ME, and Irene and her husband James Lonergan of Weymouth, MA, and a brother John and his wife Eva Leahy of Townsend, MA, and a granddaughter Erin St. Gelais of Lowell, MA, and many nieces and nephews.

Alice Sullivan
1924 - 2000
Mrs. Alice R. (Ducharme) (Smith) Sullivan of Chelmsford died December 18, 2000 at the Westford Rehab Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was married to the late Prescott D."Scottie" Smith who died April 1, 1969.
Born in Lowell on May 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Timothy Joseph and Alma Marie (Beddard) Ducharme. She was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with the class of 1942.
In the past, she was employed with the S.S. Kresge Co. in Lowell, Atlantic Parachute in Lowell, Hamilton Propeller in Hartford, CT, George's Cigar Store in Lowell, the Lion's Den in Chelmsford, Purity Food Stores in Chelmsford, Technology Instruments Corp. in Acton, Power Sources Inc., the Technical Operation Co. and GCA all in Burlington and before her illness she worked at the Elegant Farmer in Chelmsford.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford and St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford.
She was the sister of the late Lucien, George, Paul, Raymond Ducharme, and Antionette Puzon, all of Chelmsford, Beatrice Leonard, and Thaddeus Ducharme of Billerica, Simone Le Blanc of GA, and Alexandrine Grondin of Nutley, NJ.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Jane and William Nickles, 2 grandchildren, Dawn Ealy of Chelmsford, and Paul Ealy of Reading, MA., a great-grandson, Nathaniel Ealy of Chelmsford, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Thursday at 8AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, North Chelmsford, MA. Mary O'Neil
1923 - 2001
Mrs. Mary L. (Kearney) O'Neil of Westford, MA, formerly of Lowell, MA, died Jan. 25, 2001 at her home.
She was married to the late Richard J. O'Neil who died on June 10, 1986.
Born in Cleveland, OH, on Sept. 13, 1923 the daughter of the late Francis and Martha (Doyle) Kearney. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1940, and received her B.A. in Teaching from Lowell State Teachers College, and received her Masters in Teaching from Fitchburg State Teachers College.
She was a teacher, and taught at the Daley School in Lowell, MA, retiring in 1987.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Lowell, MA.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Golf Club, and Seaton Guild.
She is survived by three daughters Maribeth O'Neil and her husband Warren Randlett of Gloucester, MA, Kathleen M. and her husband Kenneth Wright of Somers, Ct., and Susan P. O'Neil of Lowell, MA, and three sons Stephen J. O'Neil of Westford, MA, Daniel P. O'Neil of Milford, NH, and Richard F. O'Neil of Lowell, MA, and two sisters and their husbands Kathleen and David Cullen of Riverside, CT, and Carol and Thomas Bell of Merrimack, NH, and a long time close friend John Mangan of Westford, MA, and six grandchildren Sean Siddall-O'Neil of Durango, CO, Renee O'Neil and Timothy O'Neil both of Lowell, MA, Andrew Wright and Heather Wright both of Somers, CT, and Evan Randlett of Gloucester, MA, and several nieces and nephews among them is Karen Bell of Merrimack, NH, Kathleen Bell of Pawtucket, RI, Edward Meagher of Andover, MA, and Charles Meagher of Lowell, MA.
She was the mother of the late Martha C. O'Neil of Boulder, CO. who died in 1988.

Evelyn Ford
1909 - 2001
Mrs. Evelyn M.(Costello) Ford of Lowell, MA, died Jan. 27, 2001 at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell, MA.
She was married to the late Eugene F. Ford who died in 1962.
Born in Cambridge, MA. on Jan. 12, 1909, the daughter of the late Francis and Rebecca (Abrams) Costello.
She was a graduate of Cambridge and Latin High School with the class of 1926.
Over the years she has lived in Cambridge, Somerville, Holbrook, and Lowell, MA.
She was employed for over 40 years with the Sperry Rand Corp. in Dorchester, MA. retiring in 1974.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, MA.
She was a member of Lowell Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by four sisters and a brother-in-law Frances and her husband John Russo, Mrs. Marion Calvert, Miss Edythe Costello, and Miss Rita Costello, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late John Costello, and Francis Costello.

Mrs. Cora L. (Bradley)(Blott) Osgood of Tyngsboro, MA. died Feb. 4, 2001 at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell, MA.
She was married to the late George Blott who died in 1956, and the late Frederick Osgood who died in 1972. Born in Nashua, NH. on Nov. 18, 1909, the daughter of the late William J. and Cora B. (Reed) Bradley. She was a educated in the Nashua, NH. School system.
Over the years she was employed with Abbott Worsted Mills in Forge Village in Westford, MA, Mohair Plush Mills in Lowell, MA, McGowen Educator Cracker Co. in Lowell, MA, and the Raytheon Corp. in So. Lowell, MA. for eighteen years before retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church. She was a member of I.B.E.W., A.F.L.-C.I.O. Local # 1505 Retiree's Club, the Tyngsboro Senior Citizens Club, the A.W. Vinal American Legion Auxiliary in North Chelmsford, MA.
She is survived by five daughters and their husbands Margaret and her husband Francis O'Neill of Tyngsboro, MA, Shirley and her husband Alva Rowe of MacClenny, Fl., Leola and her husband Walter "BUD" Wilkins of Philadelphia, PA, Eleanor and her husband William MacDonald of Wolfeboro, NH, and Judith and her husband Roy Hern of Cleveland, OH., and two step-daughters Shirley White of Pawtuckway Lake, NH, and Mildred and her husband Maurice Delude of Henderson, NV., and 30 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 17 great, great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Maurice Bradley of Nashua, NH, Lois Logan of Tyngsboro, MA, Helen Bradley of Amesbury, MA, and Eleanor Ouellette of Nashua, NH.
