Katherine Kelley
1909 - 2001
Miss Katherine T. Kelley of Chelmsford died Feb. 4, 2001, at Lowell General Hospital.
Born in Lowell on Jan. 29, 1909, where she lived in the Highland section, until 10 years ago when she moved to Rogers Hall in Belvedere. The last seven months of her life she resided at Meadow Lodge in Chelmsford. She was the daughter of the late Henry P. and Mary (Byron) Kelley.
She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1926, and the St. John's School of Nursing class of 1932. She practiced nursing at St. John's Hospital as a private duty nurse and retired after 50 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church of Lowell where she was also a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality. She was a member of the Catholic Nurses Association.
She is survived by a nephew Donald and his wife Suzanne (Longtin) Higgins of Chelmsford, two nieces and their husbands Phyllis and Mitchell Wojcik of Chelmsford, Nancy and John Gillick also of Chelmsford. She was the sister of the late Henry, Edward, Walter, George, and Raymond Kelley and Helen Higgins all of Lowell. She was also the aunt of late Gloria Higgins Dudley and Thomas F. Higgins Jr.
Funeral Thurs. at 8AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9AM at St. Margaret's Church, Lowell. Visiting hours Wed. 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lowell. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.

Theresa Agnatovech
1914 - 2001
Mrs. Theresa L. (Frediani) Agnatovech of Westford, MA died February 7, 2001, at her home.
Beloved wife of Mr. William D. Agnatovech with whom she would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on April 28th. Born in Lowell, MA on May 21, 1914, the daughter of the late David and Susan (Barbieri) Frediani. She attended the Lowell School System. She was employed with Farnsworth Mills of Lowell and Fiber Materials of Westford. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford. She was a member of Italy Club in Lowell. In 1930, she was named Miss Italy.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Barbara and her husband Chuck Keenan, and Joyce and her husband Dick Waterhouse, all of Westford, two sons William and his wife Katherine (Connolly) Agnatovech, Stephen and his wife Sandra (Polewarczyk) Agnatovech, two sisters Mae and her husband Tony Segnini of Tewksbury, and Susan Fantini of Tewksbury, two brothers, Barney Frediani of Tewksbury and Buddy and his wife Jean Frediani of Pepperell, MA, two sisters-in-law Olga Frediani of Chelmsford and Sophie Frediani of Lowell, 15 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She was the sister of the late David, Camille, and Albert Frediani and Josephine Baroni.
Funeral Fri. at 10AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11AM at St. John's Church in N. Chelmsford. Visiting hours Thurs. 5 to 9 PM. Charles Keraghan
1918 - 2001
Mr. Charles L. Keraghan of Chelmsford, MA died February 7, 2001 at Saints Memorial Medical Center.
He was married to Mrs. Clarice B. (Briere) Keraghan with whom he had celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on February 1, 2001. Born in Lawrence, MA on March 13, 1918, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Keraghan. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Boys High School of Lowell with the class of 1936. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed with B + M Railroad in both Billerica and Boston as a supervisor before retiring at the age of 60 in 1978
He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of Chelmsford, MA.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Carol and her husband Donald Turgeon of Westford, Ann and her husband Hebert Joyce of Tyngsboro, Linda O'Toole of Manchester, NH, and Sandra Christman of Lowell, his sons, Dennis Keraghan of Dracut and David Keraghan of North Chelmsford, and his sister Mary McKenna of Methuen, as well as 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Robert Kelley
1916 - 2001
Mr. Robert L.H. Kelley of North Chelmsford, MA, died Feb. 13, 2001 at the Westford Rehabilitation Center.
He was married to Mrs. Priscilla L. (Caton) Kelley with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on January 3rd.
Born in Dallas, TX on Dec. 10, 1916, the son of the late Mr. Robert E. Kelly and Mrs. Almeta E. (Brannon). He was educated in the Dallas school system.
He served with the U.S. Army infantry during World War II in Algeria, French Morocco, and Tunisia, and attained the rank of Sergeant. He received many medals among them was the Purple Heart he received in Africa.
After the serves, he was employed with Boston & Maine Railroad, and then with the Chelmsford Highway Department until his retirement in 1978.
He was a member of the North Chelmsford Congregational Church and was also the sexton at the church for over 42 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Darlene Gossement and Shelley Moura, both of North Chelmsford, MA., and two sons, Leroy and his wife Shirley Kelley of Lowell, MA. and Richard Kelley of Brockton, MA. as well as seven grandchildren, Alex Gossement, Vincent Gossement, Naomi Gossement all of North Chelmsford, MA., Colleen Kelley, Leann Kelley both of CO., Stacey Kelley of Chelmsford, MA., Anderson Moura of North Adams, MA. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Kelley, a nephew, Jeff Stallard, a niece, Tracey Stallard Bachert, 3 nephews, Pete Bachert, Justin Bachert, and Tyler Bachert, and close friends of the family, Thuan Phan and April Kendall.

Alice Sarris
1915 - 2001
Alice E. (Thibault) Sarris, a well-known fashion designer and dressmaker died on February 15th at a local hospital. She was 85.
Born on May 28, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Donalda (duBois) Thibault. Mrs. Sarris, originally from Haverhill, lived most of her adult life in Lowell. She was a gifted seamstress with a degree in pattern making, designing and dress making from The Modern School of Costume Design in Boston.
Mrs. Sarris was also an avid gardener who designed her own "Secret Garden", which she considered a work in progress. She was an extensive traveler with a great love for the Far East.
She was the loving mother of seven children: George and Donna Sarris of Pelham, NH, Theodora and Bob Hickey of Brockton, Kiki and Merrill Cohen of Dracut, her cherished daughter, Charlene, with whom she resided. Nick and Betty Lou Sarris of Tyngsboro, Dennis and Mary Ann Sarris of Pelham, NH and her beloved son Dean and Jeanne Sarris of Lowell.
She was the grandmother of 13. Dennis Hickey of Medford, Alicia Argenti of Latham, NY, Tanya Perrin of Dracut, Jennifer Caputo of Milton, Dean Sarris of Winchester, Nicole Priest of Tyngsboro, George Sarris of Wakefield, Amy Grasso of Pelham, Kristyn Sarris of Brighton, Robert Hickey of Norwood, Charles Nicholas Sarris of NYC, and Natasha Sarris of Pelham, NH. the Late Mrs. Sarris had 10 great-grand children, MacKenzie, Christopher and Alex Caputo, of Milton, Anthony Priest of Tyngsboro, Courtney, Amanda and Cameron Perrin of Dracut, Ashley and Connor Grasso of Pelham, NH, and Benjamin Alexander Hickey of Medford.
She was predeceased by her husband, the late Charles G. Sarris.
Funeral Mon. at 9 am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church. Visiting hours Sun. 2 to 8 PM. John McGeown
1920 - 2001
Mr. John M. McGeown of Chelmsford died February 26, 2001, at the Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
He was married to Mrs. Sarah J. (MacDonald) McGeown with whom he would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 30th.
Born in County Tyrone in N. Ireland on September 29, 1920, a son of Charles F. and Margaret (McBrearty) McGeown. He was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with the class of 1938.
He served with the U.S. Army Air corps during World War II.
He was employed with Gerber Baby Foods, Borden's Foods, and Diamond Salt Company, from where he retired.
He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of North Chelmsford.
He was a member of the Air Apaches, 345th Bomb Group, 5th Air Force, and was a past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus in North Chelmsford.
Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, John McGeown Jr. and Stephen McGeown both of Nashua, NH, Peter McGeown of East Chelmsford, and Christopher and his wife Nicole (Missio) McGeown of Lexington, MA, two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia McGeown and Donald Walker of Slingerlands, NY, and Mary McGeown and Robert Conron, a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Joanne (Connell) McGeown of Middleton, RI, two sisters, Anna Lannan of Chelmsford, and Maureen and her husband Kevin Bailey of Westford, and 10 grandchildren, Jason McGeown, Timothy McGeown, Meaghan McGeown, Kristen McGeown, and Brendan Allen all of Chelmsford, Michael McGeown-Walker of Slingerlands, NY, Kelcey and Ryan McGeown-Conron of Winchester, MA, and Andrew and Max McGeown of Lexington.
He was the brother of the late Agnes Murphy of Long Island, NY.

Lettie Starr
1953 - 2001
Miss Lettie M. Starr, age 47 of Lowell, MA died April 1, 2001, at New England Medical Center in Boston, MA after a brief illness.
Born in Ayer, MA on August 31, 1953, the daughter of the late Ralph and Simone (Laurent) Starr. She was a graduate of Lowell High School.
She was an adoptive foster parent being named Foster Parent of the Year for 2001, and was going to be presented the award this coming May at an awards ceremony.
She retired from Setra Systems of Acton, MA in 1993.
She was a communicant of St. Rita's Church of Lowell, MA.
She is survived by three sons Mark, Patrick, and David Starr, two foster sons Edwin Parlee and David Jennison, foster daughter Brianna Morgan, a brother Ralph Starr Jr., two Aunts and Uncles Francis and Pauline Laurent and James and Yvette Everett all of Lowell. She is also survived by three foster grandchildren and a dear friend Mrs. Kevin (Joanne) Grace of Dracut.
Funeral Mass at 9AM at St. Rita's Church in Lowell. Visiting hours Wed. 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.

David Germaine
1984 - 2002
David Germaine, 17, died in an auto accident on March 3, 2002.
He was a junior at Lexington High School, and a focus of the lives of his family and friends.

Kathy Ward
Sarah Kathryn (Kathy) Caston Ward
March 24, 1953 - November 20, 2000
Kathy died Monday, November 20, 2000 at Duke University Medical Center as a result of cancer which first appeared in August. She is supremely missed by her family and many, many friends including her husband, Greg, her mother, Juanita Caston, her brother ("Bro" to Kathy) and sister-in-law (much more like a sister) and niece and nephew. She was a special part of the lives of numerous people. Not a day passes without a flood of wonderful Kathy memories appearing to those that she touched. She is most definitely "in the arms of the angels" and with her Dad, Julian, who meant so very much to her.
