William O. Bachant
William O. Bachant, 91, of Randolph, died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Ruth F. (Polly). Born in Jaffrey, NH, he was educated in Worcester. He worked as a salesman for Brewster Wallpaper Co for many years and retired in 1970. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Dorchester.
He leaves his children, Judith M. Collins of Hanson and Peter W. Bachant of Sharon; one sister Hazel Devlin of Worcester and 7 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27) STOUGHTON, on Wednesday at 9: 30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10: 30 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Donations in Bill’s memory may be sent to Chapel of Our Lady of Health of the Sick, 235 N. Pearl St, Brockton, 02301

Richard P. Stranghellini
Richard P. Stranghellini, 65, died at the Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick, RI after a long illness. He was the husband of Phyllis P. (Baker). Born in Plymouth, he was a graduate of Plymouth Schools. He worked as a pipefitter for Pipefitters Union Local 537 in Boston for many years and was a longtime resident of Brockton. In his free time, he enjoyed dancing and was a member of and facilitator for New Beginnings in Norwell. He loved animals and will be sorely missed by his 2 dogs and 4 cats. He also owned a 1981 Corvette and was restoring it.
In addition to his wife he leaves his step children: Michelle F. DeBest and her husband David of Lakeville, Eileen B. Homer and her husband Michael of Brockton, and Eric D. Hecht of Warwick, RI. He was the brother of Edward of FL and Robert of Brockton. Also survived by his two grandchildren Wesley M. Homer and Nicholas P. Duhamel.
Private Funeral services were held. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home, STOUGHTON. Donations in Richard’s memory may be sent to Siamese Cat Rescue Center, 1025 Meander Run, Locustdale, VA 22948.

MANUEL ANDRADE BARROS

Manuel Andrade Barros, 81, died Thursday Night at the Sunbridge Nursing Home in Randolph after a long illness. Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, he immigrated to the US in 1976 and settled in Stoughton. He worked as a machine operator at Ark Les Switch in Stoughton for many years, retiring at age 65. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a social member of the Portuguese National Club, Club Luis de Camoes and the San Joao Filharmonica Society all in Stoughton.
Mr. Barros was the husband of 54 years to Adelina S. (Sousa). He was the father of Luis of Stoughton, Eduardo of Portugal, Juliao of Canada, Guilherme, Isidro, Jose, and Silvino Barros and Sofia Lopes all of Stoughton. Brother of Jose A. of Hudson and Maria A. Barros of FL. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Monday June 4 at 8: 15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday June 3 from 4-7 PM. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.

MICHELLE A. (RABBITT) CARMAN

Michelle A. (Rabbitt) Carman, 23, died Tuesday unexpectedly at the Morton. She was the wife of Benjamin R. Born in Boston, she attended schools in Hull, Whitman, Plymouth and Quincy. She was a graduate of the Brockton School of Bartending. She enjoyed cooking and her specialty was Chicken Parmesan. She was a loving and caring mother and loved spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Christopher M., Daniel J. and Nicole E. all of Taunton. She was the daughter of Judith (Kelley) Riley and her husband Bruce of Green Harbor, Scott Roulstone and his wife the late Susan of Stoughton and Joseph R. Rabbitt and his wife Jane Walton of Sandwich. She was the sister of Michael A. Walton-Rabbitt of Sandwich. She is also survived by her grandparents Anna (Lizio) Kelley of Hull, Nancy (Pignone) Rabbitt of Medford, Charles and Shirley Riley of FL and the late James Kelley and Joseph R. Rabbitt Sr. She was the daughter in law of Sandra (Murray) Carman of Brockton and is also survived by many aunts uncles cousins and friends and her two sisters in law, Amanda B. and Jessica L. Carman.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Saturday at a time to be announced. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Donations in Michelle's memory may be sent to the Charity Guild, 686 N. Main St., Brockton, 02301 or to the charity of one's choice.

ETHEL M. (WESTON) WEBSTER

Ethel M. (Weston) Webster, 88, a longtime resident of Stoughton died Wednesday at the Bethesda at Evanswood Alzheimer's Care Center in Kingston after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John C. Webster Jr. Born in Sharon, she was a graduate of Sharon Schools and Wheelock College. Mrs. Webster worked as a teacher in the Stoughton Schools for many years. She was a member of the Stoughton Teachers Association and the Mass Teachers Association. In her spare time, she was a member of the First Congregational Church in Stoughton, the Stoughton Woman's Club and the North Community Church in Marshfield.
She is survived by her children; John C. of Hanson, David W. of Bolton, Daniel M. of Brockton and Gayle Richter of Marshfield. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the North Community Church, Old Main Street, Marshfield Hills on Friday, June 1 at 1 PM. Visiting Hours Omitted. Donations in Ethel's memory may be made to Evanswood Alzheimer's Unit, 17 Chipman Way, Kingston 02364.

EDNA L. (HOMER) MORIARTY

Edna L. (Homer) Moriarty, 79, died Wednesday, May 30 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She is the wife of John T. Moriarty. Born in Boston, Mrs. Moriarty was educated in Boston schools and then Stoughton schools after moving to Stoughton at age 14. She worked as a hospital aide at Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton for 12 years before retiring 19 years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Woman's Club in Stoughton and the Westgate Mall Walker's Club in Brockton.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Moriarty is survived by her children, Nancy L. Duggan and her husband Robert J. of Stoughton and Michael E. and his wife Deborah of Lakeville, as well as her grandchildren, Tracy Duggan, Christopher Duggan, Caitlin Moriarty and Erin Moriarty. She is also survived by 7 brothers, William Homer of Plainville, Ronald Homer of ME, Donald Homer FL, David Homer and Ralph Homer both of Raynham, Raymond Homer of Carver, Paul Homer of N. Attleboro and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, George Homer, Robert Homer and Joseph Homer, and 2 sisters, Alice Stasis and Adele Howland.
Funeral Service will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Saturday, June 2 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Donations in Edna's memory may be sent to Stoughton Visiting Nurses Assn., 10 Pearl St., Stoughton, 02072. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.

ANDREW M. COPELLO

Andrew M. Copello, 89, a lifelong resident of Stoughton died Friday, May 25 at Goddard Transitional Care in Stoughton. He is the husband of Doris R. (St. Germain) Copello and the late Dorothy I. (Winterbottom). Born and educated in Stoughton, Mr. Copello was the owner of Andy's Texaco in N. Stoughton for many years before retiring 20 years ago. He was a member of Sons of Italy in Stoughton and enjoyed fishing and playing pool in his spare time. .
Mr. Copello is the father of Dorita A. Cunningham of Plymouth, Robert Falandys and Joseph Falandys and his wife Marie all of Stoughton, Marie C. Birkenhead and Patrick Francis both of VT, John Falandys and his wife Brenda of Brockton and Dianne "Teri" Mello of Norton. Along with his first wife Dorothy, he was preceded in death by a son, Francis A. Copello, Jr. and his brothers and sister Francis A. Copello, Sr., Marie I. Pearson and Joseph B. Copello. He is the father-in-law of Helen M. Copello of Carver and is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Tuesday, May 29 at 8: 15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9: 00 AM. ANNA (WALENT) RUSSELL

Anna (Walent) Russell, 91, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, May 22 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She is the wife of the late Matthew. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School Class of 1928 and Maltby Business School. For many years she was a secretary at Panther Rubber Company/American Biltrite Rubber Company as well as acting as bookkeeper for the local family businesses: Walent Variety Store and Walent Oil Company. Anna worked in the accounting office of the Rust Craft Corporation until her retirement. She was a life-long resident of Stoughton and member of the parish of the Immaculate Conception Church until her move to Manomet in 1985, where she has been a parishioner of Saint Bonaventure's Church and a member of the Bonnie Seniors. For her entire life she has been an environmentalist and animal rights advocate. Since 1983 following the birth of her first grandchild, she has spent winters with her family in Virginia.
She was the mother of Ann Russell Starr and her husband Michael of Oakton, VA. Her granddaughters Jessica Elizabeth Starr and Victoria Lorenne Starr and three nephews she considered her sons also survive her, Philip M. Walent of CA, Clifton A. Walent of Pembroke and Dr. Carl A. Walent of Hanson.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Saturday, May 26 at 8: 15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9: 00 AM. Visiting Hours Friday, 5-8 PM. Donations in Anna's memory may be sent to: Friends of the Plymouth Pound, PO Box 578, Manomet, MA 02345 or Plymouth Humane Society, PO Box 482, Manomet, MA 02345. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.

MARY L. (PEREIRA) SYLVIA

Mary L. (Pereira) Sylvia 80, died on Tuesday, May 22 at Baypointe Rehab. Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She is the wife of the late Edward A. Sylvia. Born and raised in New Bedford, she moved to Madeira, Portugal for 17 years before returning to the U.S. in 1949. She has been a Brockton resident since 1955, living with her daughter Cathy. She also had lived in Lebanon, NH with her son, former Lebanon Police Officer Edward Sylvia for a few years. She worked as a garment worker at Robin's Sportswear in Brockton for 14 years. Mrs. Sylvia was a member of the Portuguese National Club in Stoughton and the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union. She was also on the committee for the Our Lady of Fatima Feast at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.
Mrs. Sylvia is survived by her children, Marie Hirschman of Isabella, MO, John C. Dolim of Pembroke, Catherine B. daCosta and Edward A. Sylvia, Jr. both of Brockton, as well as her step-children, Vivian Cahill and Irene Brooks. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons Manuel Domingos DeOlim and Manuel D. DeOlim, her step-daughter Mary E. Austin and her grandson Donald Hirschman.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Friday, May 25 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Burial at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.

C. FRED WILLIAMS

Funeral: Tuesday, May 22, Farley Funeral Home, 10AM
C. Fred Williams, 84, died Friday, May 18, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Virginia E. (Tracy). Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. He also attended Wentworth Institute and Northeastern University. Mr. Williams was a longtime employee of Sharon Public Works Dept. and was the Superintendent of that department for over 20 years. He retired in 1979. He was a member of numerous professional associations in regards to his work. In his free time, he enjoyed golf, traveling and gardening.
He is survived by his children; Kathleen Murphy Sylvester and her husband Les of Stoughton, Dr. Richard F. J. of Cambridge and Donald D., Sgt. Sharon PD and his wife Joanne of Plainville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
Funeral prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Tuesday at 10. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Donations in Fred's memory may be sent to Caritas Good Samaritan Development Fund, 235 N. Pearl St., Brockton, 02301.
