HERMAN E. "GUS" GUSTAS

Funeral Services: Saturday, September 14, 2002, 11 AM, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 906 N. Main St., Brockton.
Herman E. "Gus" Gustas, 59, died at home Wednesday after a battle with cancer. He was the husband of 35 years to Karen (Kotap). Mr. Gustas was a graduate of Stoughton Schools and also of the University of Massachusetts. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Gustas was a Senior Project Manager for Mass Electric Construction in Brighton for over 17 years. He was highly respected and well liked throughout the Electrical Community. Mr. Gustas received many awards and commendations for his contributions in his work. He was a member of IBEW Local 103-Boston and was on the steering committee at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brockton. In his free time he enjoyed the watching the Red Sox and Patriots and was a golf fanatic.
In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by his daughter Nicole. He was the brother of Maria Ensins of Canton, Elena Raudonaitis of Stoughton, Walter of Brockton, Paul of Mashpee and the late Benjamin.
Funeral services will be held at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 906 N. Main St., Brockton on Saturday at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

KARL J. SPRITZER
Visiting Hours: Friday, September 13, 2002 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Funeral Services: Saturday, September 14, 2002, 10 AM, Farley Funeral Home.
Karl J. Spritzer, 48, died suddenly with a heart attack at home in Wolfeboro, NH on Sunday, September 8. He was the son of Joseph A. and Lois (Buckle) Spritzer of Stoughton. Mr. Spritzer was born in Brookline and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. He had lived in Stoughton for many years before moving to Wolfeboro, NH 3 years ago. He worked as an electrician, working at Stadelman Electric in Brockton before moving to New Hampshire. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Along with his parents, Mr. Spritzer is survived by his siblings, Annabel Toomey of Bridgewater, Kenneth Spritzer of Brockton and Karen L. Spritzer of Los Angeles, CA. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Donations in Karl's memory may be sent to American Heart Assn, 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.

RUSSELL B. TRIPP

Funeral Services: Monday, September 9, 2002, 10 AM, Farley Funeral Home.
Russell B. Tripp, 87, died Wednesday September 4 at the Goddard Transitional Care Unit in Stoughton. He was the husband of Albena D. (Dervinis). Born in Middleboro, he was educated in Middleboro Schools. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a mechanic for Randolph Manufacturing for many years and also worked for Corcoran Shoe and Acme Boot in Stoughton. In his free time he enjoyed farming, flying, wood carving and reconditioning antique engines.
In addition to his wife Albena, he is survived by his children: Rodman R. of MD, Cynthia A. Huckaby of NH, Candice T. Rowe, Christina B. Wauhob and Peter A. all of Avon, and David P. and Paul D. both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Evelyn Wotten of Lakeville, Arnold of Westport and the late Roger, Ivan and Louise Gurney. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 4-7 PM. Donations in Russ's memory may be sent to Alzheimer's Assn., 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, 02140. Burial will follow at Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Middleboro.

THOMAS A. BURKE

Funeral Mass: Saturday, September 7, St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington St, Canton.
Burial: Monday, September 9, VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
Thomas A. Burke, 84, died at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood on Wednesday, September 4, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Albina G. (Balchunas) Burke. Born and raised in Brockton, Mr. Burke was educated at St. Patrick's School in Brockton, Brockton High School and Quincy Trade School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Burke worked as a steamfitter for the Charlestown Navy Yard in Charlestown for over 40 years. After his retirement, he then worked for Stone & Webster in Boston as a Draftsman for over 15 years. Mr. Burke was a longtime communicant of St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. He was a founding member of the John J. Burke Scholarship Fund that benefits students from both Brockton High School and Cardinal Spellman High School.
In addition to his wife Albina, he is survived by his daughter Barbara N. Eisenstein of Canton. He was the grandfather of Nora A. Eisenstein. He was the brother of Helen Payton of W. Bridgewater, the late James Burke, John Burke and Agatha Burke. He was the brother in law of Elsie Burke of Canton and the late Arthur "Pete" Payton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, Canton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Donations in Thomas' memory may be sent to Burke Scholarship Fund, C/O William F. Burke, 11 Hemlock St., Brockton, 02301. Burial will be at VA National Cemetery, Bourne.

ROLAND E. PATRICK
Visiting Hours: Friday, September 6, 4-8 PM.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, September 7, 9 AM, Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton.
Roland E. Patrick, 65, died at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton on Wednesday, September 4 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Judith Ann (Crean). Born in Barre, MA, Mr. Patrick was educated in Barre and Plympton schools. He has resided in Stoughton since 1954. He worked as a machinist at AirTech in Stoughton. Prior to that he worked for 17 years for Martin Johnson Co. in Stoughton as a roofer. Mr. Patrick was a former member of Knights of Columbus, Council 200 in Stoughton, as well as the Sons of Italy in Stoughton. He loved playing shuffleboard and cribbage in his spare time.
In addition to his wife, Judith Ann, Mr. Patrick is survived by his children, Deborah A. McLaughlin, Kathleen M. MacFaun-Kane, James D. Patrick and John S. Patrick all of Stoughton, as well as his sister, Marilyn Roderick of Brockton. He was preceded in death by his son, Roland E. Patrick and his brother, Maurice E. Patrick. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday 8: 15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours will be held Friday from 4-8 PM. Donations in Roland's memory may be sent to New England Sinai Foundation, 150 York St., Stoughton, 02072. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.

CHRISTINE DiTOMASSO
Visiting Hours: Friday, September 6, 10A-12PM.
Funeral Service: Saturday, September 7, 12 PM, Farley Funeral Home.
Christine M. DiTomasso, 42, died unexpectedly on Monday. She was the wife of Walter H. Goodwin of Stoughton. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Canton Schools. Ms. DiTomasso was a resident of Stoughton for the past 14 years. She was a homemaker. Ms. DiTomasso was active in many area support groups.
In addition to her husband Walter Goodwin, she is survived by 2 sons: Scott E. DiTomasso of Canton and Sean T. Gallagher of Stoughton. She was the daughter of Edward R. DiTomasso of Canton and the late Eileen (McLean). She also leaves 2 sisters Judith Flavin of Randolph and Esther DiTomasso of N. Reading. She is also survived by her grandson Kyle M. Gallagher.
Funeral prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours prior to service from 10 AM-12 Noon.

VIOLA L. (PATRIGNANI) FERZOCO

Funeral Mass: Friday, September 6, 10 AM, St. Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Rd., Milton.
Viola L. (Patrignani) Ferzoco, 91, died at Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Patrick H. Ferzoco. Born and educated in Mansfield, Mrs. Ferzoco lived in Milton for many years before living in Stoughton for the last 26 years. She was a housewife at home with her family. Mrs. Ferzoco was a former member of the Sons of Italy and St. Anthony's Guild both in Readville.
Mrs. Ferzoco is survived by her daughters, Marian A. Fulciniti of Hyannis and Evelyn Matthews of Stoughton, as well as her sister, Matilda DeChellis of Mansfield. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, Patrick, she was preceded in death by her sons, Warren G. Ferzoco and Robert Ferzoco, as well as her brother, Oratio Patrignani
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 8: 45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Church, Milton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Milton Cemetery in Milton. SONIA E. (OSTAPCHUK) KUDRYK

Funeral Service: Wednesday, September 4, 10 AM, St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 24 Orchard Hill Rd., Jamaica Plain.
Sonia E. (Ostapchuk) Kudryk, 87, died at Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Eugene B. Kudryk. Born in Hartford, CT, Mrs. Kudryk was educated in both Hartford and Boston schools. She has resided in Holbrook for over 5 years after living in Jamaica Plain for many years. Mrs. Kudryk was a salesperson at Jordan Marsh in Boston for 20 years and has been retired for over 20 years. She was also a member of the St. Olha Sisterhood at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Jamaica Plain.
Mrs. Kudryk is survived by her children, Frederick E. Kudryk of Plymouth, Emil J. Kudryk of Stoughton and Susan K. Kudryk of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 8: 30 AM followed by a Funeral Service at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Jamaica Plain at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Sonia's memory may be sent to St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 24 Orchard Hill Rd., Jamaica Plain, 02130.

CLAIRE C. (McGURK) O'MARA
Visiting Hours: Tuesday, August 27, 4-8 PM.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, August 28, 9 AM, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street, Brockton.
Claire C. (McGurk) O'Mara, 80, died unexpectedly at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Edward R. O'Mara. Born in Jamaica Plain, she was raised there and was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain. Mrs. O' Mara was a resident of Brockton for over 32 years and previously lived in Roslindale. She worked as a clerk typist for the Hyde Park Tribune in Hyde Park for many years and then worked as a payroll clerk for Baker Brothers in Stoughton. Mrs. O'Mara was a member of the 20th Century Womens Catholic Guild at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Brockton. She was a volunteer at Brockton City Hall for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards and spending time with her family on Cape Cod.
She leaves her daughter Donna M. O'Mara of Brockton. She was predeceased by her four brothers; James McGurk, Arthur McGurk, Frederick McGurk and George McGurk. She is also survived by her beloved cousin Barbara Pasciuto of W. Dennis and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 9 AM. GINO M. FERRINI

Gino M. Ferrini, 72, died Saturday, August 24, at the Bedford VA Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Joan C. (Hopkins). Born in Brookline, he was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1948. He was also a graduate of Norwich University in Vermont, class of 1955. Mr. Ferrini was a veteran of the US Army. He worked as a Civil Engineer and was the owner Ferrini Prestress and Post Tensioning in Stoughton. Mr. Ferrini was a registered Professional Engineer and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Boston Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers. He was also a member of the Norwich Alumni Association and the Ancient and Honorable Society in Boston.
He is survived by his wife Joan C. (Hopkins) Ferrini of Stoughton. He was the Stepfather of Jean Nardozzi of Norton, John H. Nardozzi of Milton, James A. Nardozzi of VA, and Jayelisa Flanzbaum of Easton. He was the brother of Roger of Brockton and the late William. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home, Stoughton. Donations in Gino's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Disease, 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, 02140.
