Kimberley Marie Courtney

A Funeral Mass for Kimberley Marie Courtney, 34, will be on Tuesday, June 12th at 10 AM in St. John The Evangelist Church, Washington Street at Glen Road, Wellesley.

Ms. Courtney was born in Boston, a daughter of Kevin L. and Virginia C (O’Neill) Courtney. She was a graduate of Mount Alvernia High School, Newton, and of Smith College, Northampton. Ms. Courtney also received a Masters in Education from Harvard University and Masters in Women’s Studies and in Social Work from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.

Ms. Courtney was a publisher for many years most recently associated with Sundance Publishing. She enjoyed traveling and had been a long time resident of Newton before moving to Grafton over a year ago. She died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Grafton.

She leaves her parents: Kevin and Virginia Courtney of Auburndale; her siblings: Jared R. Courtney and his wife Maureen of Sheffield, Sebastian J. Courtney, Lucas E. Courtney and Lee E. Courtney all of Auburndale; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main Street, on Route 20, Watertown. Interment will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, following the Mass on Tuesday. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kim’s name to the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Dept. 0096, Washington, DC 20055.

Jeanne N. Nicolazzo
A Funeral Service for Jeanne Naomi (Lawrence) Nicolazzo, 85, will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 10:30 AM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main Street, on Route 20, Watertown.

Mrs. Nicolazzo was born in Newtonville, a daughter of Edgar S. and Beulah R. (Stowell) Lawrence. She was a graduate of Newton High School and had lived in Watertown for over 50 years before moving to South Yarmouth. Mrs. Nicolazzo, a homemaker, had worked with her husband at his model and hobby center in Newtonville. She died on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in the Windsor Nursing Home, South Yarmouth, after a long illness.

She leaves two children: Barbara J. O’Brien of South Yarmouth and Albert W. Nicolazzo of Sandwich; three grandchildren: Debra Burrell, Tracey Nicolazzo and Erik O’Brien; and 3 great-grandchildren: Lynn Nicolazzo, Derek Burrell and Brittanie Maymon..

Wife of the late Albert O. Nicolazzo and grandmother of the late Stephen Nicolazzo, she was the sister of the late Edgar S. Lawrence, Albert F. Lawrence and Josephine Beal.

Visiting will be on Thursday morning at 10 AM prior to the Service at 10:30 AM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main Street, on rte. 20, Watertown. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Marion F. (Titus) Lambert

Marion F. (Titus) Lambert, 88, in Watertown. passed away June 16, 2007 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Dedham, a daughter of the late Leroy and Mathilsa (Danckert). She moved to Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School and the Wilfred Academy in Boston. Marion worked as a hairdresser and a principle clerk for twenty two years service at Watertown Town Hall, she retired in 1979. Marion also enjoyed gardening, travel, cooking for family and friends from her vast collection of cookbooks. She was married to the late Capt. John M. Lambert (U.S.Army) and the late Francis C. Lambert. Mother of Donna J. Dalton and her husband Jake of Randolph, Ma. and the late John M. .Lambert. Grandmother of Wendy J. Olend & her partner Steve Couto of Somerville and Karen Guthro Mosman & her husband Gregory of Brighton. Also loved by great grandog “Maggie”. Sister to the late Harold “Bud” and Edgar Titus. Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St, on Rt. 20, Watertown on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Relatives & friends kindly invited. Gilda A. (Marini) Brackett-Steppe

A Funeral Mass for Gilda Amelia “Jill” (Marini) Brackett-Steppe, 89, will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Church of Saint Luke, Belmont.

Mrs. Brackett-Steppe, a daughter of the late John and Julia (Corsi) Marini, was born in Newton. She was a lifelong resident of Watertown, graduated from Watertown High School, received a degree from Fisher College in Business Administration and, in addition, studied to become a licensed hairdresser. For many years she worked at Mount Auburn Hospital in the Admitting Office and the Cashier’s Office. She also volunteered at the hospital and was presented with a 20 years service pin.

Mrs. Brackett-Steppe was instrumental in the formation of the Head-Start Program in Watertown, taught in the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Program and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts both at Saint Luke Parish. She also was a member of the Atina San Marco Society and a former Watertown Town Meeting member. Her love of horticulture led to many years as a member of the Waltham Garden Club and her serving as President of the club. Mrs. Brackett-Steppe, in addition to her being a warm, family and people loving person, was an avid reader and enjoyed being a Pen-Pal which resulted in her meeting her second husband. She died at her Watertown residence on Saturday, August 21, 2010, after a period of declining health.

She was the beloved wife of the late Peter A. Brackett who died in December 1970, and of the late Clarence M. “Kit” Steppe who died in May 1991; devoted mother of Atty. Gary S. Brackett of Worcester, Loretta E. Deppe of Lincoln, NH, Marie E. Brackett of Bangor, ME, Eileen D. Vizakis of Franklin, Janice M. Lancashire of Bridgton, ME, Elizabeth A. Alves of Tewksbury, Mary Jayne Brackett of Watertown, Stephen M. Brackett of Sudbury and the late Julie Anne Brackett and the late Peter M. Brackett. Stepmother of James F. Steppe, Rebecca J. Testerman, David L. Steppe and the late William N. Steppe and the late Maddrey Reader; dear sister of John S. Marini of Canton, Elvira Marini of Watertown and the late Joseph A. Marini and Delia Fratto.

She was also the beloved grandmother of Julia and Audra Brackett, Annie, Melissa, Mary and William Deppe, Peter and Noelle Brackett, James and Peter Vizakis, Peter and Mark Kilpatrick, Christina Fountain, Kyle, Stephen and Dean Alves, Evelyn and Joel Morano, Stephen, Michael and Maeve Brackett. She was also a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of Saint Luke, 132 Lexington St., Belmont. Interment will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, August 24th from 3-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Gildo E. Russo

A Funeral Mass for Gildo Edward Russo, 61, will be celebrated on Saturday, July 24, 2010, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

Mr. Russo, a son of the late E. Gildo and Barbara (Dougherty) Russo, was born in Newton. He was a lifelong Watertown resident and a graduate of Watertown High School and Newman Preparatory School. Mr. Russo was a Food Broker for M & M West Coast in Burlington and a friend of Bill W. He loved animals, was a great fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed landscaping around his property. Mr. Russo died on Tuesday evening, July 20, 2010, in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, after a sudden illness.

He was the beloved husband of Janet L. (Smith) Russo and the late Margaret E. (Webster) Russo; devoted father of Laura Ann Russo of Watertown and the late Pvt. Christopher P. Russo (US Army) and stepfather of Shena Lee Smith-Connolly of Seattle, Wash. and Maximilian B. Smith-Marder of Watertown; dear brother of Stephen A. Russo of Watertown, George J. Russo of Derry, NH, Patricia A. Brown of Concord and Richard A. Russo of Milton; loving nephew of Ida (Russo) Napolitano of Watertown. Mr. Russo was also loved by his many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Saturday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Interment will be Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.

Calling hours will be on Friday, July 23rd from 4-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

John A. Campbell

Campbell, John A. of Maynard, formerly of Watertown, July 22, 2010. Born in Glenora Falls, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on January 23, 1929. Beloved husband of 48 years to Beatrice (MacDonell). Devoted father of Sharon Quinn & her husband Joseph of St. Louis, MO, Carleen Connors & her husband Timothy of Ashland, John Campbell of Maynard, Brendon Campbell & his wife Jessie of Framingham and Pamela Campbell & her fiancé Brad Gould of Rochester, NH. Dear brother of Angus, Alexander & Mary Campbell-Jamieson all of Glenora Falls, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Margaret Campbell of Brighton, Helen MacLaren of Ontario, Ann Brown of Florida and the late Katherine White, James Campbell & Donald Campbell. Loving grandfather to Connor, Caroline & Corey Quinn, Hannah & Timothy Connors II and Johnny & Lindsey Campbell. John was an accomplished Scottish violinist, composer, recording artist and music instructor. John was recognized as one of Nova Scotia’s greatest violinists. He was extremely well known as a tune composer and his most widely known composition is Sandy MacIntyre’s Trip to Boston which has been played and recorded by musicians all over the world. He was a member of the Canadian-American Club, Gaelic Club, Music Union and also a graduate of the New England Fuel Institute. John worked in the Boston area as a service technician for over forty years. He thoroughly enjoyed his summers with family and friends at his summer home in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia which was so dear to his heart. Ethlyn I. MacLeod

A Funeral Mass for Ethlyn Irene MacLeod, 61, will be celebrated on Friday, August 6, 2010 in the Church of Saint Theresa of Lisieux, 466 Boston Road, Billerica.

Ms. MacLeod, a daughter of Mildred M. (Lund) and the late George A. MacLeod, was born in Brookline. She grew up in Watertown, graduated from Watertown High School and has lived in Billerica for the past 15 years. Ms. MacLeod, a past employee of Raytheon in Waltham and a member of Saint Theresa Parish, died at her residence on Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

She was the devoted mother of Karyn E. Ramshaw and her husband Greg of Watertown; loving daughter of Mildred M. (Lund) MacLeod of Billerica formerly of Watertown and the late George A. MacLeod; adoring grandmother of Caitlyn E. Ramshaw and Ryan P. Ramshaw; dear sister of George A. MacLeod and his wife Elizabeth of Laconia, NH; and long time companion of Paul Mungovan of Billerica. Also survived by a niece, a nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday at 9 AM in the Church of St. Theresa, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica. Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.

Helen B. (Callinan) Ham

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010 for Mrs. Helen B. Ham. Mrs. Ham was born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late James and Ellen (Looney) Callinan. She grew up in Cambridge and had been a resident for 40 years before moving to Watertown in 1972. She had been retired from the Star Market Company in Cambridge where she was employed as a Bookkeeper. Mrs. Ham died on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in her 102nd year.

She was the wife of the late Sydney B. Ham and sister of the late Margaret Burke, Mary Sullivan, John Callinan, Daniel Callinan, Thomas Callinan, Francis Callinan and James Callinan. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown on Monday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 O’Clock in the Sacred Heart Church 770 Mt. Loretta L. Frissora

A Funeral Mass for Loretta Louise Frissora, 82, will be celebrated on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at 10:30 AM in the Church of Saint Bernard, 1523 Washington St., (Rte. 16), West Newton.

Ms. Frissora, a daughter of the late Henry C. and Filomena (Julian) Frissora, was born in Newton. She grew up in Watertown, graduated from Saint Patrick High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Boston University, Boston. Ms. Frissora, a West Newton resident for the past 40 years, was an active member of Saint Bernard Parish. She served as an Eucharistic Minister for many years, was a past member of the Corpus Christi-Saint Bernard Guild, and made the weekly novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

Ms. Frissora had a long career in education spanning 40 years. She was with the Needham School System for most of those years and for the most part teaching at the High Rock School. She was also instrumental in founding the Gifted and Talented Program in Needham. After her retirement she became a member of the Retired Educators Association of Massachusetts (REAM) and served as the executive director of The Edith Steward Chase Foundation that was established for retired teachers in need.

Ms. Frissora also enjoyed and shared her many given talents with her nieces and nephews. She died on Monday morning, August 9, 2010, in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, after a period of declining Health.

She was the devoted sister of Delia P. Frissora and Mary E. Frissora of Watertown, Helen J. Antinarelli of Waltham, and the late Alia M. Russo, Marfisa Higgins, Roger A. Frissora, Trivia A. Frissora, Henry C. Frissora, Jr., Anthony P. Frissora, Lillian J. Ferron, Joseph R. Frissora and Francis V. Frissora. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews and their families.

A Visiting period will be in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Saturday from 8:30-10 AM prior to the Mass. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM in the Church of St. Bernard, 1523 Washington St. (Rte. 16), West Newton. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Robert S. Savage

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday August 18, 2010 in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main Street, Watertown, MA at 10 AM for Robert S. Savage, age 77. Mr. Savage passed away Friday August 13, 2010 in the Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Savage was a son of the late John W. and Eva E. (Kazta) Savage. Born in So. Boston, Robert was raised in Boston, a graduate of Boston Trade High School in 1950. Robert worked as an Electrician for many years, as well as working for the Coca Cola Co. for ten years and the Stop & Shop Co, for twenty-four years. A member of the Baker-Confectionary Union& the Bottlers Union.

Robert served during the Korean War, with the rank of Corporal He received the Korean Service Metal, United Nations Service Metal and National Defense Metal.

Mr. Savage was the beloved husband for 46 years to the late Patricia A. (Risso) Savage. Devoted father of Robert S. Savage of Watertown, Michael P. & his wife Cecilia of Calf., Christina M. Savage & her husband Brett Milanowski of Somerville and Joanne E. Farwell & her husband Paul of Watertown. Dear brother of Lorraine Demeter of NJ. Loving grandfather of Isabella S. & Raina S. Milanowski, Patricia J. and David L. Farwell, & Jacqueline and Zachery Savage. A Funeral Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. on Rt. 20, WATERTOWN on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Korean Army Vet.
