HOPEDALE -- Marie A. (Caracino) Costello, 76, of 2356 Providence Road, Northbridge, formerly of Hopedale, a former shoe industry worker, died Thursday, April 12, in Northbridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Her husband, William J. Costello, died in 1969. She leaves a son, William Costello of Milford; a daughter, Donna Zanchi of Medway; a sister, Violet Ghetti of Hopedale; a grandson; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Ralph and Domenic Caracino, predeceased her. She was born in Milford, daughter of Ralph and Rose (Saracino) Caracino, and lived in Milford and 45 years in Hopedale.

Mrs. Costello worked at various Milford area shoe shops.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, April 16, from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main St., Milford. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the funeral home.

John J. Delisio, 69

WEBSTER -- John J. Delisio, 69, of 11 Vecchia St., a retired maintenance worker, died Monday, April 9, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Univeristy Campus, Worcester.

He leaves a sister, Joanne DiGiovanni of Reading; nieces and nephews. He was born in Webster, son of John and Emily (Dabrowski) Delisio.

Mr. Delisio did maintenance work at Webster Floral and Southern Worcester County Rehabilitation.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, April 11, from Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Church, 15 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. A calling period will be from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Louis Endowment Fund, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570.

Aroxey Laronga, 78

MILFORD -- Aroxey (Eghian) Laronga, 78, of 46 Bancroft Ave., a retired hospital worker, died Friday, April 6, in Geriatric Authority of Milford.

Her husband, Ernest Laronga Sr., died in 1985. She leaves three sons, Ernest R. Laronga Jr. of Allen, Texas, Michael Laronga of Milford and John Laronga of Quincy; three daughters, Jayne M. Blood of the Whitinsville section of Northbridge, Carol Laronga and Jean Silva, both of Milford; two sisters, Victoria Peroni and Rose Belisle, both of Milford; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Michael and Maurice Eghian, predeceased her. She was born in Milford, daughter of George and Lucy (Kazanjian) Eghian, and graduated from Milford High School in 1942.

Mrs. Laronga worked for Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital before retiring.

The graveside service will be held at noon Tuesday, April 10, in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Road. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, in Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St.

Beatrice H. Lovely, 86

NORTHBRIDGE -- Beatrice H. (Richards) Lovely, 86, of 44 Railroad St., a retired hospital worker, died Wednesday, April 11, in Northbridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Her husband, Vaughn Lovely, died in 1954. She leaves six sons, Elwood V. Lovely of Worcester, Earl W. and Gary A. Lovely, both of Northbridge, Frederick J. Lovely of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Clarence Lovely of Charlton, and Lewellyn Lovely of Brookfield; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Iona F. Antonucci, died in 1997. A brother, Clarence Richards, died in 1998. She was born in Washburn, Maine, daughter of Frank and Ethel Richards. She attended schools in Caribou, Maine.

Mrs. Lovely worked 17 years in the laundry at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, in Nordgren, Carrigan, Mangsen Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 13, in the funeral home.

Nancy E. Miller, 66

Friday, April 13, 2001

MILFORD -- Nancy E. (Adams) Miller, 66, of 28 South Bow St., a state employee, died Wednesday, April 11, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, after being stricken ill at home.

She leaves a son, Doug Miller of Barre; a daughter, Gail Brown of Hopedale; two sisters, Janice Beccia of Framingham and Suzanne St. John of Milford; and six grandchildren. She was born in Milford, daughter of Karl and Jeanette (Adams) Adams.

Ms. Miller worked at the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the James E. Kellett & Son Funeral Home, 21 West St. Burial will be in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston. There are no calling hours.

Diane E. Reimer, 58

Tuesday, April 10, 2001

RENO, Nev. -- Diane E. (Phillips) Reimer, 58, formerly of California and Holden, Mass., died Saturday, April 7, at home.

She leaves her husband, Leonard R. Reimer; a son, Leonard R. Reimer Jr. of Reno; a daughter, Doriane R. Reimer of Reno; her mother, Elizabeth Phillips Jubinville of Jefferson, Mass.; a sister, Gail Claflin of Shrewsbury, Mass.; her stepmother, Hope Lewis of Burlington, N.C.; a stepsister, Alona Phillips of Burlington; a granddaughter. She was born in Worcester, Mass., daughter of Wendell A. Phillips, and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden and the Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester.

Mrs. Reimer was a licensed practical nurse, and worked 15 years at Washoe Medical Center, and worked two years at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She was an Army ICU nurse two years at Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 346 Shrewsbury St., Holden. Inurnment will be in Nevada. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 346 Shrewsbury St., Holden, MA 01520. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., is directing arrangements.

Jacob T. Richards, 4

UXBRIDGE -- Jacob T. Richards, 4, of 64 East Hartford Ave., North Uxbridge, died Friday, April 6, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after an illness.

He leaves his parents, Thomas and Andrea (Cosma) Richards; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Constance (Blanchard) Richards of Pascoag, R.I.; his maternal grandparents, John and Cheryl (Hession) Cosma of Douglas; his paternal great-grandparents, Janet Richards and Edgar and Blanche Gonyer; and his maternal great-grandparents Rita (DiCicco) Demers and Joseph and Barbara (Plante) Hession, all of Uxbridge. Born in Worcester, he lived in Uxbridge his entire life.

The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville. Private burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Granite Street. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center, 112 Main St., Hopkinton, MA 01748.

Carlo R. Salvia, 81

MILFORD -- Carlo R. Salvia, 81, of 88 East St. Extension, a World War II veteran and a retired forklift operator, died Saturday, April 7, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Margaret (Pisarro) Salvia; a daughter, Jenny-Ann Luchini of Milford; two brothers, John Salvia of Hopedale and Charles Salvia of Mendon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was born in Milford, son of Salvatore and Jennie (Ferretti) Salvia, and was educated in Milford schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Salvia was a forklift operator at Draper Corp., Hopedale, retiring in 1978. He was also a bagger at Stop & Shop and worked for Greenleaf Farm Stand. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the Italian American Veterans.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 9, in the funeral home.

Hedwig I. Alden, 92

WORCESTER -- Hedwig I. (Poplawski) Alden, 92, of McLean, Va., formerly of 5 Lulea St. in Worcester, a retired medical assistant, died Saturday, March 31, in Cherrydale Health Center in Arlington, Va.

Her husband, Harold E. Alden, died in 1985. She leaves a daughter, Dolores F. Slagle of McLean; two brothers, Henry Poplawski of Dayton, Ohio, and Nicholas Poplawski of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Estelle Mellott of Fairfield, Calif.; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; nephews and nieces. She was born in Poland, daughter of Leopold and Stephanie (Zaremba) Poplawski, and lived in Worcester from 1912 until moving to McLean when she was in her late 80s.

Mrs. Alden was a medical assistant at Worcester City Hospital, retiring in 1960. During World War II, she worked at an aircraft factory in Bridgeport, Conn. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed traveling.

The funeral will be held Saturday, April 7, from Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour is 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 6, in the funeral home.

Eisa I. Amoh, 62

WORCESTER -- Eisa I. “Kwame” Amoh, 62, of 53 Ellsworth St., died Monday, April 2, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus after an illness.

His wife, Bessie (Evans) Amoh, died in 1999. He leaves three sons, Derrick Amoh and Patrick Evans, both of Worcester, and Cedrick Amoh of Mississippi; and two grandchildren. He was born in Ghana, son of Kwebena and Mary Akosua (Mename) Efa, and lived here 16 years.

Mr. Amoh was a nurse's aide at Worcester State Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, in Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 13, in the funeral home.
