WORCESTER -- Thomas A. Miglionico, 58, of 52 Country Club Blvd., formerly of James Street, a construction worker, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, at home.

He leaves his wife of 38 years, Sandra P. (Leo) Miglionico; two daughters, Debra A. Gerber and Donna M. Gully, both of Worcester; a son, Thomas A. Miglionico Jr. of Worcester; his mother, Rita (Curley) LeClair of Webster; his father, Thomas Miglionico of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Irene Murzycki of Webster and Theresa LaBelle of California; three brothers, Reno Rannikko of Worcester, David Rannikko of Plainfield and Patrick Miglionico of Webster; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Nicholas Miglionico of Webster, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester and lived in Webster before returning here in 1965. He graduated from Bartlett High School, Webster.

Mr. Miglionico was a construction worker for 30 years with the Laborers' International Union of North America Local 243 in Auburn. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.

The funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, from Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Fund, 16 Vineyard St., Worcester, MA 01603.

Alfred G. Morin Sr., 91

SPENCER -- Alfred G. Morin Sr., 91, of 23 Maple Terrace, former owner of J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, died Thursday, Dec. 13, in St. Francis Home, Worcester, after a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of 65 years, Rita P. (Delongchamp) Morin; a son, Alfred G. Morin Jr. of Spencer; two grandchildren, Melissa M. Morin Bernard of Spencer and Jarrett A. Morin of Leicester; a great-grandson; nephews and nieces. Three brothers, George A. Morin Sr., Leo J. and Lorenzo Morin, and a sister, Eveline M. Meloche, predeceased him. He was born in Spencer, son of J. Henri and Ida L. (O'Coin) Morin, and lived here all his life. He graduated from David Prouty High School in 1930 and from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, in 1934. Mr. Morin was active in sports in high school and was captain of the college track team. In 1935, he graduated from New England Institute of Embalming & Funeral Directing, Boston.

Mr. Morin was a funeral director and owned J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home from 1936 to 1974.

Among his memberships, he was affiliated with Holy Cross Club of Worcester, Holy Cross Varsity Club, French Institute at Assumption College, Assumption College Century Club and A Club, Cranberry Lake Association, St. Mary's Church and its Bishop's Fund, Massachusetts and National Funeral Directors associations, Harmony Club in Worcester, Cohasse Country Club in Southbridge, Heritage Country Club in Charlton, Council L'Amy, Union St. Jean the Baptist, Spencer Exchange Club, Spencer Fish & Game Club, David Prouty High School Permanent Scholarship Committee, Southbridge Savers Bank and Spencer Savings Bank. He was installed as a Purple Knight in 1984. In 1959, Mr. Morin donated a hearse that was converted into an ambulance, marking the start of the Spencer Rescue & Emergency Squad.

His accomplishments in track at College of the Holy Cross included many first-place finishes at the Melrose Games in New York City and achieving record-setting times. In 1932, he competed in the long jump at the Olympic Trials in Berkeley, Calif., and was an alternate on the U.S. Olympic Team.

The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 17, from J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terrace, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60 Maple St. Burial will be in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery. Calling hours are 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Spencer Rescue Squad, PO Box 147 or David Prouty Permanent Scholarship Fund, 304 Main St., both Spencer, MA 01562.

Mary G. Neylon, 93
Tuesday, December 18, 2001

NIANTIC, Conn. -- Mary G. (Whigham) Neylon, 93, of 386 Main St., formerly of Hartford Road in Waterford and formerly of Barre, Mass., died Sunday, Dec. 16, in Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, New London.

Her husband of 70 years, Daniel V. Neylon, died last year. She leaves several nephews and nieces. She was born in Barre, daughter of Thomas and Annie (O'Connor) Whigham, and lived many years in Waterford before moving here.

Mrs. Neylon owned and operated a dog grooming business. She raised and bred French poodles and showed them in competitions throughout New England. She enjoyed ceramics and bridge.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, in Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Barre. A calling hour is 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, in the funeral home.

Greta Nyline, 94
Monday, December 17, 2001

CROMWELL, Conn. -- Greta (Ekberg) Nyline, 94, of Pilgrim Manor, died Saturday, Dec. 15, died in Pilgrim Manor.

Her husband, Wilbert W. Nyline, predeceased her. She leaves a son, the Rev. Karl Nyline of Chaska, Minn.; a daughter, Connie Hastings of Wilson, N.C.; two brothers, Milton Ekberg of Cromwell and Alfred Ekberg of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, Mass., daughter of Carl S. and Esther (Pearson) Ekberg. She graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester.

Mrs. Nyline worked at Norton Co., Worcester. She was a member of Salem Covenant Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Pilgrim Manor Chapel, 52 Missionary Road. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Covenant Church, 215 Mountain St. East, Worcester, MA 01606-1297. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain, is directing arrangements.

Michael M. O'Rourke
Monday, December 17, 2001

MILLBURY -- Michael M. O'Rourke, 58, of 246 Millbury Ave., died Thursday, Dec. 13, at St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness.

He leaves his wife, Kelly (Carey) O'Rourke; a son, Michael G. O'Rourke of Millbury; two daughters, Christine Ruggieri of Worcester and Karlee O'Rourke of Millbury; his mother, Rose (Martin) O'Rourke of Worcester; a brother, Ronald O'Rourke of Worcester; and a granddaughter. He was born in Worcester, son of James O'Rourke. He attended Thomas Street School, Worcester.

Mr. O'Rourke operated a security patrol service before retiring.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the Graham Putnam Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the funeral home.

Czeslawa Podolak, 76
Tuesday, December 18, 2001

WORCESTER -- Czeslawa (Zolyniak) Podolak, 76, of 6 Loxwood St., a retired housekeeper, died Sunday, Dec. 16, in Providence Extended Care after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 53 years, Tadeusz Podolak of Worcester; two sons, Waldemar and Robert Podolak, both of Worcester; a daughter, Gabriela E. Zaleski of Charlton; four grandchildren. A daughter Danuta Podolak of Poland, predeceased her. She was born in Kalinowka, Poland, daughter of Antoni and Julia Zolyniak.

Mrs. Podolak worked as a housekeeper at St. Vincent Hospital for 11 years, retiring in 1987. She previously worked as a seamstress for many years in Poland.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, in Jehovah's Witnesses Central Congregation, 659 Franklin St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St.

Dorothy Cameron Pratt
Tuesday, December 18, 2001

ATHOL -- Dorothy (Knight) Cameron Pratt, 92, of 9 Gibson Drive, died Monday, Dec. 17, in Athol Memorial Hospital.

Her first husband, Hugh M.G. Cameron died in 1960. Her second husband, Louis C. Pratt died in 1965. She leaves a son, Phillip H. Cameron of Phillipston; four daughters, Jeanne Forand and Marion C. Euvrard both of Athol, Margaret Drew of Hoffman, N.C., Nancy L. Hale of Plymouth; a sister, Rachel Clough of Oneida, N.Y.; 27 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren. A son, Malcolm Cameron, died in 1967. She was born in Gardner, daughter of Pearl C.W. and Bertha G. (Eddy) Knight. She graduated from Athol High School in 1928 and from Worcester State Teacher's College in 1964.

She was a school teacher at the South Royalston Grammar School for two years, Dexter Park Grammar School in Orange for three years, and the Massachusetts Audubon Society in Lincoln for five years. She retired in 1974. She was a member of Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church for many years. She taught Sunday school for many years and was a lay speaker at the church. She was a lay leader at the United Methodist Church New England Conference. She volunteered at Quabbin Valley Nursing Home for several years, the Family Inn, Orange, the Valuing Our Children Program as well as with the Hospice Program. She was one of ten recipients of a statewide volunteering award given in 1997 by WBZ Channel 4 in Boston.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m Saturday, Dec. 22, in Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church, 40 Island St. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church, 40 Island St., Athol, MA 01331. Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., is directing arrangements.

Josefa Reyes, 55
Tuesday, December 18, 2001

CLINTON -- Josefa (Green) Reyes, 55, of 346 Oak St., died Saturday, Dec. 15, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.

She leaves her husband, Flor N. Reyes Sr.; a son, Flor N. Reyes Jr. of Clinton; two daughters, Merta Martinez of Worcester and Julissa Briddell of Webster; a brother, Guillermo Green of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Virgina Simmoneti of Puerto Rico and Illuminida Santiago of Florida; six grandchildren. She was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, daughter of Epifanio and Josefa (Rivera) Green, and had lived in Clinton and Worcester for 13 years.

Mrs. Reyes was a machine operator at Nypro Co., before retiring due to illness.

Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, in Graham Putnam Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St., with a funeral service at 6 p.m. during the calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Massachusetts Affiliate, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

Julia B. Saidnawey
Monday, December 17, 2001

WORCESTER -- Julia B. (Mudarri) Saidnawey, of Worcester, formerly of Cambridge, died Friday, Dec. 14, in Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing Home.

Her husband, Toufic Saidnawey, predeceased her. She leaves two sons, Leo Saidawey of Belmont and Alfred Saidnawey of Dennis; two daughters, Shirley Salamy of Shrewsbury and Elaine Salemy of New Jersey; two sisters, Nabiha Mahfuz of Chestnut Hill and Adla Saliba of Boston; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Three brothers, George, Nicholas and Antoun Mudarri and three sisters, Emily Shamieh, Mary Berny and Elaine Haddad, predeceased her.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St., Dedham. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park. Selina A. Schwab, 70
Monday, December 17, 2001

CLINTON -- Selina A. (Nichols) Schwab, 70, of 1 Martin St., died Saturday, Dec. 15, in Coachlace Health Care after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 53 years, Charles W. Schwab; a son Charles A. Schwab of New Gloucester, Maine; two brothers, Alton Nichols of Hinsdale and James Nichols of Washington; two sisters, Sarah Fountaine of Lakeland, Fla., and Alta Nicholas of Dalton; and many nieces and nephews. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of Alton and Selina (Gosselin) Nichols, and lived most of her life here. She attended Clinton Schools.

Mrs. Schwab worked at the former Eastern Isle.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in James E. Watson Funeral Home, 149 Water St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the funeral home.

Marjorie M. Seward, 78

BARRE -- Marjorie M. (Smith) Seward, 78, of 6 Varney Lane, formerly of Leominster, died Friday, Dec. 14, in the Keystsone Center, Leominster, after an illness.

She leaves her husband, Earl B. Seward; two daughters, Candi Tobin and Robin Seward, both of California; a sister, Helen P. Cochran of Leominster; and a granddaughter. A son, Jay Seward, died in 2000. She was born in New Bedford, daughter of Allen O. and Edith A. (England) Smith, and lived many years in Leominster before moving to Barre 20 years ago. She graduated from Leominster High School.

Mrs. Seward worked 35 years at the former Tilton & Cook Co., Leominster. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Leominster.

The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday Dec. 17, in Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. Burial will be private. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the funeral home. William Z. Sidloski, 82

WORCESTER -- William Z. Sidloski, 82, of 197 Vernon St., a World War II veteran and a retired maintenance worker, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus after an illness.

He leaves his wife, Marguerite D. "Rita" (Garner) Sidloski; a son, William K. Sidloski of Worcester; three daughters, M. Paulette Porter of Mendon, Teresa M. Beschle of Amherst, N.H., and Eva M. Kendrew of Norfolk; two brothers, Stanley Sidloski of Rutland and Henry Sidloski of Worcester; a sister, Martha Liberis of Worcester; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Stanislaw and Mary (Ropiak) Sidloski. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School and attended Worcester Junior College. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving as a master sergeant in Europe and the Pacific.

Mr. Sidloski was a wire drawer for more than 25 years at the American Steel & Wire Co. division of U.S. Steel Co., and later was a maintenance worker at the Worcester County Courthouse, retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish and a life member of Polish American Veterans of World War II. He enjoyed plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, bowling and square dancing.

The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 17, from Henry Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the funeral home. Members of Polish American Veterans of World War II will conduct a ritual at 4:30 p.m. during the calling hours. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to a charity.

Sheila M. Silberstein

LEICESTER -- Sheila M. (Facteau) Silberstein, 54, of 1671 Main St., died Friday, Dec. 14, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

She leaves her former husband, Charles G. Silberstein of Auburn; a son, Michael A. Marble of Spencer; two daughters, Tina L. Desmarais of Rochdale and Serena L. Silberstein of Leicester; a brother, Francis H. Facteau Jr. of Clearwater, Fla.; a grandchild; nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Francis H. Facteau Sr. and Clara (Sylvester) Facteau, and lived in Worcester before moving here 17 years ago.

Mrs. Silberstein was a member of St. John's Church in Worcester.

The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 17, from Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the funeral home.
