WEBSTER -- John R. Archambeault, 48, of 91/4 Chase Ave., died Saturday, Jan. 5, in Hubbard Regional Hospital.

He leaves a son, Shawn Archambeault of West Boylston; a brother, George L. Archambeault of Oxford; three sisters, Carol R. Whitenett and Linda M. Brosnahan, both of Worcester, and Deborah A. Ashey of West Boylston; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of George and Mary (Paradise) Archambeault. He graduated from West Boylston High School. He served in the Air Force.

Mr. Archambeault owned and operated Archman Cane and Staff Co. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

The funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 10, from Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, at a later date. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, Mass. Affiliate, 1 Bromfield St., Boston, MA 02108.

Alfred P. Lawlor, 99

WORCESTER -- Alfred P. Lawlor, 99, of 5 Sherwood Road, a retired manager, died Friday, Jan. 4, in Beaumont Nursing Home, Westboro, after an illness.

His wife of 59 years, Alice G. (O'Hara) Lawlor, died in 1989. He leaves several nephews and nieces; grandnephews and grandnieces. Two brothers, Stewart Lawlor and William Lawlor, and a sister, Margaret Lawlor, all of Worcester, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Patrick and Elizabeth (Cronin) Lawlor.

Mr. Lawlor was a parts manager for Harr Ford, before retiring. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 9 Hammond St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St., Worcester, MA 01602.

Susan J. Augusto, 40
Friday, January 11, 2002

SUTTON -- Susan J. Augusto, 40, of 40 Marble Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after being stricken ill at home.

She leaves a son, Joseph A. Beauregard Jr. of Greenfield, N.H.; her father, Michael A. Augusto of Millbury; five brothers, Michael W. and Thomas M. Augusto, both of Worcester, Joseph A. Augusto of Albany, N.Y., David J. and Wayne A. Augusto, both of Sutton; two sisters, Diane M. Augusto of Raleigh, N.C., and Donna J. Augusto of Millers Falls; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Judith A. (Martin) Augusto, and moved to Sutton in 1994. She attended North High School, Worcester.

Ms. Augusto was a waitress more than 20 years at George's Diner and the Miss Worcester Diner, both in Worcester. She attended St. Mark's Church. She enjoyed sports.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, from Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, 356 Boston Road. After cremation, burial will be in Notre Dame des Canadiens Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the funeral home. Please omit flowers.

Beverly A. Mossa, 60

WORCESTER -- Beverly A. (Paradis) Mossa, 60, of 17 Roy St., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus.

She leaves her husband of 32 years, Richard A. Mossa Sr.; a son, Richard A. Mossa Jr. of Winchendon; two daughters, Denise A. Draeger of Westminster and Charlene A. Mossa of Worcester; three sisters, Carol Germain of Worcester, Barbara McGrath of Charlton, and Marie Mulcahy of Oregon; four grandchildren. A sister, Jane Mossa, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George H. and Ella E. (Perreault) Paradis. She received the Flora degree from the Grange of Massachusetts.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, from Louis Fazio & Sons Funeral Home, 9 Branch St., with Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

Richard K. Anderson Sr.

WEST BOYLSTON -- Richard K. Anderson Sr., of 32 Shrine Ave., retired industrial engineer, died Thursday, Jan. 10, in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

His wife, Eleanor M. (Jacobson) Anderson, died in 1988. He leaves his son, Richard K. Anderson Jr. of Pacific Grove, Calif., and a daughter, Cheryl L. Anderson-Mitchell of West Boylston; a brother, George Anderson of Holden; a sister, Susan Newton of Michigan; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Oscar and Christina (Knutson) Anderson, and graduated from Worcester Academy. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He graduated from the former Worcester Junior College with an associate degree in industrial engineering.

He worked for Warner-Swazey Co.

He was a member of Boylston Lodge of Masons and Christ Lutheran Church in West Boylston.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A calling hour will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02154.

Joseph A. Annese, 59

WEBSTER -- Joseph A. Annese, 59, of 22 Hartley St., a nursery owner and operator, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

He leaves his wife of 38 years, Katherine M. (Delisio) Annese; five sons, Anthony L., Joseph F., Christopher J. and Michael D. Annese, all of Webster, and Matthew S. Annese of Thompson; a daughter, Maria K. Annese of Webster; a brother, William D. Annese of Webster; four grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Webster, son of Mauro Luigi and Mary (DiGiovanni) Annese. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1960 and attended Lowell Technical Institute.

Mr. Annese owned and operated Webster-Dudley Nursery in Webster and Dudley. He was a member of St. Louis Church, where he chaired the St. Louis Festival; a member of the Sons of Italy and the Webster-Dudley Historical Society; a third-degree knight with the Knights of Columbus; chairman of the Webster Conservation Commission; and a charter organizer of the Webster Ambulance Squad. He was also an honorary member of Cranston Print Union and was an animal-rights advocate. He enjoyed history, coin collecting and travel.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, from Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Church, 15 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent, or donations made to John J. Gladys Perzanoski, 84

DUDLEY -- Gladys (Dabrowski) Perzanoski, 84, of 13 Causeway Shores, former nursing home employee, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Hubbard Regional Hospital in Webster after being stricken ill at home.

She leaves her husband of 61 years, Joseph Perzanoski; a son, Charles Perzanoski of Dudley; a daughter, Elaine Falke of Webster; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Five brothers, Ignatius, Michael, Peter, John, and Louis Dabrowski, predeceased her. She was born in Webster, daughter of Paul Veronica (Kalemba) Dabrowski, and lived 26 years in Dudley.

Mrs. Perzanoski worked several years at Sandalwood Nursing Home, Oxford, retiring in 1979. She previously worked many years at the Webster Spring Co. and at the cafeteria at Bartlett High School, both in Webster.

She was a member of St. Joseph Basilica in Webster. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Road, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace cemetery in Webster. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the funeral home.

Marion Bolack, 99
Saturday, January 12, 2002

GRAFTON -- Marion (Lucas) Bolack, 99, of 1 Hawthorne St., died Friday, Jan. 11, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after a short illness.

Her husband of 41 years, Walter F. Bolack Sr., died in 1963. She leaves two sons, Charles N. Bolack, with whom she lived, and Francis X. Bolack of Grafton; two daughters, Marianne Rososky of Westboro and Ethel M. Pierce of Millbury; a sister, Anna Duplessis of Athol; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews. A son, Walter F. Bolack Jr., died in 1982. Five sisters and a brother also predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Adam and Anna Lucas, and lived 53 years in Grafton.

Mrs. Bolack was the oldest parishioner of St. Mary's Church, North Grafton, and a founding director of Grafton Suburban Credit Union. She enjoyed summering in Harwich Port.

The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 14, from Robert C. Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton. Burial will be in St. Philip's Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent, or memorial donations made to St. Mary's Church, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton, MA 01536.

Daniel W. Morrill, 83
Saturday, January 12, 2002

SOUTHBRIDGE -- Daniel W. Morrill, 83, of 428 Hamilton St., died Thursday, Jan. 10, in Harrington Memorial Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Geraldine B. (Burke) Morrill; four sons, Robert B. Morrill of Wanthes, N.C., Richard R. Morrill of Decatur, Ga., James D. Morrill of Urbandale, Iowa, and Christopher P. Morrill of Savannah, Ga.; two daughters, Diane R. Morrill of San Francisco and Clare M. Callaghan of Manchester, N.H.; nine grandchildren. He was born in Southbridge, son of Daniel T. and Mary S. (Mallahy) Morrill, and graduated from the former St. Mary's High School. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1940. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in North Africa and Europe. He also participated in the Berlin Airlift.

Mr. Morrill was a sales manager 41 years at American Optical Corp. before retiring.

He was chairman of the Southbridge Town Commission, and was first Chairman of the Southbridge Town Council. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish, DeTraina Council, Knights of Columbus, Leonide J. Lemire Post Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Post 31 American Legion. He volunteered for the Boy Scouts, and was a trustee of Tri-Valley Elder Services, Harrington Hospital, and Jacob Edwards Library. He served on the library's building committee.

The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 14, from Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton St. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Jacob Edwards Library, 236 Main St., Southbridge, MA 01550.

Roger Kane, 74
Monday, January 21, 2002

HUDSON -- Roger Kane, 74, of Hudson and Marlboro, the longest serving elected official in Hudson, died Friday, Jan. 18, in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

He leaves his wife of 46 years, Shirley M. (Cummings) Kane; three sons, Roger Kane Jr. of Weston, David Kane of Weston and Jimmy Kane of Bolton; three daughters, Mary Lou Woodford of Southboro, Kathy Adams of Stow, and Jacqueline Kane of Hudson; four sisters, Millie Morin of Maine, Lucille Stevens of New Hampshire, Susan Scott and Sandra Kane, both of Marlboro; two brothers, Francis and John Kane, both of Marlboro; and nine grandchildren. A brother, Alden Kane, predeceased him. He was born in Marlboro, and was living on Pompositticut Farm. He graduated from Marlboro High School in 1944. He attended WPI. He was a Naval Air Force veteran of World War II.

Mr. Kane, with his brother, Alden, began a concrete business at 560 Main St., that is still operating. The two brothers also built Kane Industrial Park. In 1990, he established Kane Self-Storage in Hudson and Marlboro. He served as director of different boards at Marlboro Hospital. He was first elected to the Hudson Planning Board in 1961 and served to the present. He also served on the board and as interim president of First National Bank of Marlboro. He was a member of Rotary International for more than 40 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, McSweeney Assembly.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at St. Michael's Church, 21 Manning St. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in Merrill-Carlton Funeral Home, 1 Pleasant St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Parish School Education Fund, 20 High St., Hudson, MA 01749.

Tyler P. Hamilton, 4

GRAFTON -- Tyler Patrick Hamilton, 4, of 7 Chestnut St., died Sunday, Feb. 3, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after being stricken ill at home.

He leaves his mother, Kellie M. (Donahue) Hamilton of Grafton; his father, Thomas P. Hamilton Jr. of Worcester; his maternal grandparents, Robert E. and Margaret I. (McGrath) Donahue of Worcester; his paternal grandmother, Mary Jane (Raymond) Hamilton of Worcester; his paternal great-grandfather, Roland Raymond of Worcester; and a close friend, Todd Carroll of Grafton, with whom he lived. He was born in Worcester and lived two years in Grafton.

Tyler attended Free to Be Me Day Care. He was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church and the Tiny Tot program of the Gymnastics Learning Center in Shrewsbury. He loved to bowl.

The funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, from Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Why Me Inc., 316 Main St., Worcester, MA 01608.

Helen C. Acker, 88
Thursday, February 07, 2002

WORCESTER -- Helen C. (Larsen) Acker, 88, of 1060 Main St., a retired banquet waitress, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, at home after being stricken ill.

Her husband, Roy I. Acker Sr., died in 1954. She leaves a son, Warren R. Acker of Worcester; a daughter, Donna F. Kubert of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Roy I. Acker Jr. of Long Island, N.Y., died in 2000. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles C. and Hulda C. (Olsen) Larsen, and graduated from Commerce High School in 1931.

Mrs. Acker was a clerk at Svea Baking Co. and later a banquet waitress at the Bancroft Hotel and the Sheraton Lincoln, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and the Webster Square Towers Club.

At her request, no funeral service is planned. Burial will be private in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Lindquist-Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler St., is directing arrangements.

Susan M. Auger, 48
Friday, February 01, 2002

CLINTON -- Susan M. (Pitard) Auger, 48, of 367 Water St., formerly of Berlin, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, at home after being stricken ill.

She leaves her husband of 30 years, Richard D. Auger Jr.; her mother, Vivian A. (Gould) Belcher of Hudson; her father, Leonard W. Pitard of Framingham; three brothers, Kenneth L. Pitard of Panama City, Fla., Ronald P. Pitard of Clinton, and Robert G. Pitard of Ypsilanti, Mich.; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Marlboro, and lived in Berlin before moving to Clinton many years ago. She graduated from Tahanto Regional High School.

Mrs. Auger was a data entry operator at Sweet Life Corp. in Northboro for several years, retiring because of a disability.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church.

The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in Robert J. McNally Funeral Home, 304 Church St.
