COLTON T. CASTLE
LITTLE ORLEANS - Colton Tyler Castle, infant son of Michael J. and Brenda L. (Mann) Castle, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters, Michaela J. Castle and Brianna L. Castle, at home; paternal grandfather, Paulman Castle, Hancock; maternal grandparents, Dale T. and Judith L. (Hartman) Mann, Little Orleans; paternal great-grandmother, Phoebe (Tichnell) Barnard, Oakland; and a number of aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Leona J. (Barnard) Castle.
A graveside service will be held at the Piney Plains United Methodist cemetery, Little Orleans, on Monday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Alan Smith officiating.
The Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, is handling the arrangements.
MEGAN L. DUCKWORTH
WESTERNPORT - Megan Leann Duckworth, 16, of 214 Spruce St., Westernport, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 1998, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born Sept. 30, 1982, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary Virginia (Fazenbaker) Duckworth.
Megan was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, and was a special education student at Westmar High School, Lonaconing.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Christopher D. Duckworth, Westernport; and a sister, Carrie Lynn Parker and brother-in-law, Jason Scott Parker, Westernport.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Father James Hannon as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation, 302 W. Main St., Avon, CT 06001.
LLOYD E. BROWN
SNOW HILL - Lloyd E. Brown, 82, of Snow Hill, died May 22, 1998, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Lonaconing, he was a son of the late James and Florence (Kiddy) Brown.
Mr. Brown retired after 25 years of service from Moore Business Forms in Snow Hill.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mabel L. (Baker) Brown; three daughters; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Audrey Sharon, Margaret Williamson, Josephine Allen and Mabel Leake, all of Lonaconing; and four brothers, William Brown, Cumberland, Roy Brown, Eckhart, James Brown and Bob Brown, both of Lonaconing.
Funeral services were held at the Dennis Funeral Home in Snow Hill.
WILLIAM A. DAVIES
CUMBERLAND - William Arnold Davies, 76, formerly of Pleasant Valley Road, Cumberland, died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at his residence in Flagler Beach, Fla.
Born Nov. 15, 1921, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late William and Edith May (Bridges) Davies, and his stepmother, Julia (Flickinger) Davies.
Mr. Davies was a 1940 graduate of Fort Hill High School, where he was outstanding in football (All-City and All CVAL 1939) and track. He was Master Sergeant in the Army/Air Force during World War II. He was then employed at the Celanese, Cumberland, and the B & O Railroad, as a member of the Carmen's Union, where he retired in 1981. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Potomac Lodge #100, A.F. and A.M., 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Ali Ghan Shrine Club.
Surviving are his wife, Lois L. (Reuschel) Davies; two daughters, Deanna Arnold and husband, G. Daniel, LaVale, Mary Hall and husband, W. Bryan, Cumberland; one son, William G. Davies and wife, Anna, Flagler, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Potomac Lodge #100 A.F. and A.M. will hold a memorial service on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Hare, Eugene Hook, Walter Orndorff, Robert Poling, Roger Twigg and Boyd Wade.
Honorary pallbearers will be John J. Long, Raymond Baker, William Dean, George Evans, Charles Hardy, Paul Long, Kenneth Shelley and Walter Ullery. All pallbearers are former teammates of the Fort Hill football team.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the Volusia-Flagler County, Fla., or to the American Cancer Society.
DELPHIA R. AUVIL
CRESAPTOWN - Delphia R. Auvil, 87, of Valley View Avenue, Cresaptown, passed away on Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1911, in Lead Mine, W.Va., he was the son of the late Chris and Jeckie Auvil. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Auvil retired from Yoders Construction Company and Local 616. He was a U.S. Army veteran of foreign wars, serving in Panama.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Rita R. (Bartlett) Auvil and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale. Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
RAY H. BROWN
AVILTON - Ray Harrison Brown, 77, of Avilton, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1998, at his residence.
Born May 23, 1921, in Salisbury, Pa., he was a son of the late William and Lela (Harding) Brown.
Mr. Brown was retired from the spinning department of Celanese Fibers Corporation, and was a member of Old St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Leora Elizabeth (McKenzie) Brown, whom he married
on Feb. 23, 1945; and one sister, Blanche Maust, Salisbury, Pa.; also, a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Friday from2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Prayer services will be conducted on Saturday at noon in the funeral home with the Rev. William Moody officiating.
Interment will be in St. Ann's cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited on Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

ETHEL IZETTA EYLER
CUMBERLAND - Ethel Izetta Eyler, 84, formerly of 460 Baltimore Ave., Cumberland, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 23, 1913, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James Twigg and the late Oka D. (McElfish) Twigg. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eyler, on June 19, 1991; and two sisters, Lanetta Reed and Emma Mallow.
Mrs. Eyler was a member of Melvin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Robert A. Eyler, LaVale; three daughters, Regina M. Linton, Annapolis, Pearl Jackson, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Mary Crawford, and husband, Robert, Dover, Pa.; a brother, Lloyd Twigg, Cumberland; four sisters, Hatta Connor, Cumberland, Mildred Bierman, Cumberland, Olive Holbrock, Zephyrhills, Fla., and Ruth Rice, Rovendale, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Douglas Crawford and Brad Crawford, York, Pa., Jason Eyler and Tara Eyler, Cumberland, Colby Eyler, Hagerstown, Mark Jackson, Myrtle Beach, Sabrina Linton, Annapolis, and Christina Linton Merritt, Salisbury; and three great-grandchildren, Arleigh Jenkins, Annapolis, Costen Merritt and Griffith Merritt, Salisbury.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Richard Leslie officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
