PRISCILLA COLLINSON
CUMBERLAND - Priscilla Melissa Collinson, 66, died Feb. 28, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was a resident of Longview Apartments at the time of her death.
Priscilla was born on Nov. 5, 1931, in Manhattan, N.Y. She was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Moore) Collinson. She was preceded in death by one son, Harvie Zuckerman; and she is survived by two sons, David Andrew Zuckerman of Oakland, and John Zuckerman of Oakdale, Iowa; and two daughters, Roxanne Zuckerman, Baltimore, and Lisa Zuckerman, Garrett County. She also is survived by many loving friends in the community.

Priscilla was a member of the Cumberland Historic cemetery Organization, The Archway Station Club, and the Alliance for the Mentally Ill. She spent much of her time advocating for the rights of people recovering from mental illness and often expressed her hope that a cure would be found. She was a great lover of the arts. She enjoyed theater and classical music. She also enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She was an avid gardener whenever she had the opportunity.

Priscilla had a strong devotion to her children and often expressed her love for them to those around her. She had the ability to touch the lives of all who knew her, for her kindness and compassion for others knew no boundaries. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were privileged to have her as a part of their lives.

A funeral service will be held for her on Friday, March 6, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Holy Cross Episcopal Church with Father Lillycropp officiating. There also will be a memorial service held in her honor on Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at noon at the Archway Station Club.

KENNETH S. COLLIER
FLINTSTONE - Kenneth Spriggs Collier, 83, of 12917 Dry Ridge Road, NE, Flintstone, died Thursday, April 30, 1998, at his Florida home in North Fort Myers.
Born March 30, 1915, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Hamilton E. Collier and the late Elsie (Twigg) Collier.

Mr. Collier was retired from the Cumberland Cement Co. as a mechanic. He attended Prosperity Christian Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are a wife, Eveline (Vance) Collier, Flintstone; two sons, Kenneth S. Collier Jr. and wife Mary Alice, Lavonia, Ga., and Donald L. Collier and wife Mary, San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Mary Knippenberg, Cumberland; two grandchildren, Renae Pearson, Lawrenceville, Ga., and Donald Collier Jr., Alexandria, Va.; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Miller officiating.

Interment will be in the Fairview Christian cemetery, Inglesmith, Pa.

GRACE I. COLLIER
CUMBERLAND - Grace Ivadene (Stewart) Collier, 76, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, April 7, 1998, at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 19, 1922, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Amanda C. (Diehl) Stewart. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Collier.

Mrs. Collier was a former employee of the Celanese Corp. She was a member of the Living Stone Church of the Brethren; life member of Beta Sigma Phi and Ladies Auxiliary of the Cumberland Outdoor Club; member W.O.O.M., Chapter 914; and member Ladies Auxiliary F.O.E., Aerie 245.

Survivors include two sisters, Alice Walters, Roanoke, Va., and Zelda Wagner, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Monn officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Ali Ghan Shrine Motor Corps.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Transportation Fund, c/o Ali Ghan Shrine, P.O. Box 1416, Cumberland, MD 21502 or to the American Cancer Society, 111 S. George St., Cumberland, MD 21502.

BERTHA GOLDFINE COHEN
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Bertha R. Goldfine Cohen, 85, of Palm Beach Gardens, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Born Feb. 8, 1913, in Frostburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Morris and Sara Gerson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Goldfine, who was a prominent local photographer; her second husband, Morris Cohen; and two brothers, Harry and Robert Gerson.

Mrs. Cohen had been a resident of Palm Beach Garden for two years, coming from West Palm Beach, where she resided for 25 years. She was a member of the City of Hope (Palm Beach Chapter) and was active in Beth Jacob Synagogue and Hadassah of Cumberland.

Surviving are her son, Stuart Goldfine and wife, Susan, Rancho Mirage, Calif.; two devoted stepdaughters, Ruthie Abramson, Palm Beach, Sonia Triester, Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother, Milton Gerson, Cumberland.

An interment service service will be conducted on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Eastview cemetery with Mr. Leonard C. Schwab officiating.

Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, is in charge of local arrangements.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Bertha R. (Goldfine) Cohen, 85, of Palm Beach Gardens, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998, in Palm Beach Gardens.

JUDY M. COFFMAN
CUMBERLAND - Judy M. Coffman, 51, of Cumberland, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 3, 1946, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Shoemaker) Coffman.

Ms. Coffman was a homemaker. She was a former member of Short Gap Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are a special niece, Tonia Ravenscroft, and husband, Richard, with whom she resided; one brother, John Coffman, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Sharon Tester, Ashland, Ohio, and Linda Johnson, Palm Harbor, Fla.; two special great-nephews, Tyler and Cody Ravenscroft; and several other nieces and cousins.

Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating.

Interment will be in Arnold cemetery, Burlington, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Coffman Family, 711 Shawnee Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502.

ELIZABETH I. COFFMAN
BOONSBORO - Elizabeth Isabell Coffman, 81, of Reeders Nursing Home, Boonsboro, formerly of Wiley Ford, W.Va., died Thursday, May 28, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born May 25, 1917, in Paw Paw, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edward Santymire and Grace (Lease) Santymire Williams. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Coffman, in 1995; and two sisters.

Mrs. Coffman was a former employee of the Celanese Corp. and the Lazarus Clothing Store, both in Cumberland.

Surviving are one son, Richard Edward Monnett and wife Evelyn, Hagerstown; two brothers, Frank Williams, Clearwater, Fla., and Robert Williams, Ohio; and four grandchildren, David E. Monnett, Mark A. Monnett, Nicole A. (Monnett) Draheim and husband Lenny, all of Hagerston, and Wayne G. Craig, Dallas, Texas.

At Mrs. Coffman's request, her body will be cremated.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday at 1 p.m. with Ollen Craig officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
