MARY A. COFFEY
CUMBERLAND - Mary Agnes Coffey, 88, of Cumberland, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at her home.
Born March 24, 1910, in Allegany County, she was the daughter of the late John Stegmaier and the late Annie (Detterman) Stegmaier. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the late Francis Wade Coffey, on July 8, 1993.
Mrs. Coffey was a graduate of the Ursuline Academy. She and her husband were avid ballroom dancers. She was a member of the El Fidel Club and LaSalle Mothers Club.
Surviving are two sons, Theodore W. Coffey and wife, Marjorie, Green Spring, W.Va., and Matthew B. Coffey and wife, Sharon West Coffey, Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Mary C. Miltenberger and husband, Fred, M.D., Cumberland, and Rosanna M. Coffey and Tim Stranges, Rockville; a sister, Elizabeth Leasure, Cumberland; a brother, Richard Stegmaier, Cumberland; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas R. Bevan, celebrant.
Interment of ashes will be in St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery.

CUMBERLAND - A memorial service for George Clayton Cauley will be conducted Thursday at the Salvation Army Chapel at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. B.A. D'Angelo officiating.

HOWARD R. "DICK" CECIL SR.
CRESAPTOWN - Howard R. "Dick" Cecil Sr., 70, of Cresaptown, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Nov. 9, 1927, in Cresaptown, he was the son of the late Bernard E. and Mary V. (Hite) Cecil.
Mr. Cecil was a former employee of Celanese Corporation of Cumberland, and retired from Custom Carpets of LaVale. He was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Oldtown Road, Cumberland, and the Cresaptown Eagles Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Betty L. Cecil; one daughter, Sharon L. Cecil; two sons, Howard R. Cecil Jr., and wife, Cindy, Martin D. Cecil, and wife, Sheila, all of Cresaptown; one sister, Helen Winkler, and husband, James, Cresaptown; one brother, Carl B. Cecil, Batesville, Miss.; and two grandchildren, Clinton and Carlyn Cecil.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Memorial Heights Baptist Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Denny Michael officiating. There also will be one-hour visitation prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
The family requests contributions be made to the Memorial Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.

CRESAPTOWN - Friends will be received for Howard R. "Dick" Cecil Sr. at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Memorial Heights Baptist Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.

JAMES A. DECATUR
HAGERSTOWN - James Albert DeCatur, 70, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at the Washington County Hospital.
Born May 25, 1928, in Washington, D. C., he was the son of the late Herbert Raymond and Eleanor (Rankin) DeCatur.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene Katherine Knight.
Mr. DeCatur had been a carpenter for the Hampshire Corporation, and was a member of Local #110, Washington, D.C.
He attended Shenandoah United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene DeCatur; four sons, Darrin DeCatur and fiancee, Debra Koons, Greencastle, Pa., James Wayne DeCatur, Hagerstown, Mark DeCatur, North Carolina, and Joseph LeMere, Martinsburg, W.Va.; three daughters, Debbie Brady, Waldorf, Melody DeCatur Heffner, Delta, Pa., and Colleen Young, Reston, Va.; one brother, Raymond DeCatur, Dunkirk; two sisters, Doris Rider, North Beach, and June DeCatur, Vienna, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Davis Memorial cemetery on Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Hatfield and the Rev. Dennis Whitmore officiating.
Interment will follow.

WILLIAM J. CESNICK
CUMBERLAND - William J. Cesnick of Cumberland died Friday, May 22, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lord, Md., he was the son of the late Joseph Cesnick and the late Mary Catherine (Yuhaus) Cesnick.
Mr. Cesnick was a retired appliance salesman for Montgomery Ward and Company. He was an avid bowler on the Methodist Church Men's Bowling League and Edith's Bowling League.
Surviving are a wife, Edith E. (Bland) Cesnick, Cumberland; three sisters, Emma Peto, Norwalk Blvd., Calif., Mary Beall, New Port Ritchie, Fla.; and Ann Horgan, New Port Ritchie, Fla.; a special nephew and niece, Chris and Linda Arnold, Ohio; a niece Mildred Patterson, Frostburg; and a nephew, Tommy Cesnick, Midland.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

ZOLA CESSNA
CUMBERLAND - Zola Cessna, 73, of 12805 Old Church Lane, Cumberland, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 8, 1925, in Flintstone, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Mallow and the late Fannie (Morral) Mallow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the late Elmer E. Cessna, on Jan. 12, 1994.
Mrs. Cessna was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Jones and husband, Steve, Auburn, Ala., and Janet Parker and husband, John, Rawlings; two sons, Gary Cessna and wife, Phyllis, Martinsburg, W.Va., and Tom Cessna and wife, Sherry, LaVale; two brothers, Leo Mallow and wife, Angela, Flintstone, and Warren Mallow and wife, Shirley, Flintstone; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
