DOROTHY E. KALBAUGH
CUMBERLAND - Dorothy E. Kalbaugh, 77, of 12005 Amber Drive, S.E., Cumberland, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1921, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Chester Meade Files and the late Edith Irene (Wolford) Files. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William Donald Kalbaugh, in 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Abell and wife, Barbara, Plantation Key, Fla., and John D. Kalbaugh and wife, Linda, Cumberland; a daughter, Donna Adams and husband, Leonard, Hyndman, Pa.; four brothers, Lloyd Files, Cumberland, Dale E. Files, Durham, N.C., Nelson Files, Canada, and Gene Files, Kansas; two grandsons, Aaron and Ryan Kalbaugh, Cumberland; four granddaughters, Loree Abell, Valerie Beirman, Kimberly Wotring and Billie Jo Tolley; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. David Diehl officiating.
Interment of the cremated remains will be in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit.
FRANCES L. GARCIA
LUKE - Frances L. Garcia, 87, formerly of 516 Grant St., Luke, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born July 28, 1911, at Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Leon K. and LeNora (Defibaugh) Jacobs. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Garcia, on Feb. 16, 1984; and a brother, Selby G. Jacobs.
Mrs. Garcia was formerly employed by C&P; Telephone, Piedmont, W.Va., as Chief Operator. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, and Bethlehem Chapter 14 OES, Westernport.
Surviving are one daughter, Francine Shanahan, Keyser; one son, Thomas Garcia, Frostburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Garcia's request, there will be no visitation.
A graveside service will be conducted at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen P. Fritz officiating. Interment will follow.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
The Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, is in charge of arrangements.
JOHN LLOYD "TED" FARRIN
CUMBERLAND - John Lloyd "Ted" Farrin, 85, of 1506-C Oldtowne Manor, Cumberland, Md., died Sunday, March 15, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born April 4, 1912, in Cumberland, Md., he was thee son of the late Edward Farrin and the late Clara (Valentine) Farrin. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. June Porter and Evelyn Farrin.
Mr. Farrin was a retired salesman for the Borden Company and was caretaker for St. Luke's Lutheran cemetery. He was a life member and past president of the Cumberland Eagles-Aerie #245, a member of the Cumberland Elks B.P.O.E. #63, a life member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club, a member of Moose Lodge L.O.O.M. #271, Potomac Lodge #100 A.F.&A.M.;, Cumberland Scottish Rite Bodies, 32nd Degree Mason, K.C.C.H., Ali Ghan Shrine Temple, past president of the Shrine Ritualistic Team, a 50-year member of U.C.T., and a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a wife of 60 years, Rita Virginia (Molinari) Farrin, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Lee A. McDaniel officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
The Potomac Lodge #100 A.F.&A.M.; will have a memorial service at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jerome Robinette, John Spence, James Lough, David Ferguson, Richard Perez and Roy Lashbaugh, all members of the Ritualistic Team.
ROBERT G. GRAY
CUMBERLAND - Robert Graham Gray Jr., 65 of Cumberland, died Friday, July 31, 1998, at his residence.
Born May 19, 1933, in Midland, he was the son of Marie Elizabeth (Kammauff) Gray Porter, Frostburg, and the late Robert Graham Gray Sr.
Mr. Gray had served in the Reserves.
For 25 years Mr. Gray owned and operated Gray's Appliance Parts Company. Presently he operated the Queen City Laundry.
Mr. Gray was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, where he had served on the vestry. He also was a member of Lodge #63, B.P.O.E.
Survivors include his wife, Dortha (Nester) Gray; two sons, R. Bryon Gray, Fredericksburg, Va., and S. Wayne Gray, and wife, Teresa, Cumberland; two daughters, Sandra Lease, and husband, Timothy, Cresaptown, and Nicole Gray, Frederick; one granddaughter, Logan Lease; and one grandson, Cody Lease.
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 16 Washington St., Cumberland, on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Edward C. Chapman officiating.
Friends will be received in the Parish Hall following the memorial service.

OTIS W. KAMP
FROSTBURG - Otis W. Kamp, 81, of 39101 Kirkland Drive, Zephyrhills, Fla., and 10115 Parkersburg Road, NW, Frostburg, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at his home in Florida.
Born Aug. 2, 1916, in Grantsville, he was a son of the late Austin and Thelma (Warnick) Kamp. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Louvina (Broadwater) Kamp; a son, Gregg W.; two brothers, Walter and Donald; and a sister, Katherine.
Mr. Kamp was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. He was a retired member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 37, Cumberland. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a charter member of Grantsville Post 214, American Legion, with 52 years of continuous service. He also was a member of FOP Lodge 40, and the Frostburg Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Helen (Will) Urbas Kamp; four sons, Gale A. Kamp and wife Susie E., Steve W. Kamp and wife Sharon, Keith A. Kamp and wife Joyce, all of Avilton, and Gary W. Kamp and wife Susie M., Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two daughters, Marlene Ross and husband Don, Cumberland, Maxine Erskine and husband Wayne, Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepson, David Urbas, Upper Marlboro; two sisters, Betty Spence, Meyersdale, Pa., and Shirley Bender, Grantsville; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Grantsville, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Byrnes officiating.
Interment will be in St. Ann's cemetery, Avilton.
The Rosary will be recited Friday at 3:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to either the Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
