ALDYTH E. HAGER
FROSTBURG - Aldyth E. Hager, 84, formerly of West Main Street, Frostburg, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born June 6, 1913, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Nellie (Harris) Kergan of Wright's Crossing. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Allen H. Hager, on Oct. 12, 1976.

Mrs. Hager graduated from Beall High School in 1930, and from the Frostburg Normal School in 1932. She formerly was employed at the Celanese Corp. The was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Frostburg.

Surviving are three sisters, Marie Holmes, Evelyn Lemmert and Mabel Ritchie; her special great-nephew, Benjamin Ostendorf; one niece, Suanne Lewis; nine nephews, Pinkney Holmes, Robert Holmes, Garry Ritchie, Arthur Kergan, Robert Kergan, James Kergan, Cecil Kergan, Robert Hager and Donald Hager; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Esther Kuhre officiating.

Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Donald Hager, Robert Hager, Cecil Kergan, Pinkney Holmes, Robert Holmes and Garry Ritchie.

CARL FILSINGER
OAKLAND - Carl Filsinger, 94, of Oakland, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home.
Born July 24, 1904, in Eckhart, he was the son of the late Adolph and Elizabeth (Deal) Filsinger. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Bessie Filsinger, in 1979; and a daughter, Thelma Filsinger, in 1992.

Mr. Filsinger was retired as a self-employed poultry farmer. He was a member of the Camp 11 Woodmen of the World.

Surviving are one daughter, Sue Teagarden and husband H. Rex, Oakland; one sister, Emma Sherwin, Clayton, N.J.; four grandchildren, Sharon Watson and husband Stan, York, Pa., Sherwin Teagarden and wife Val, Oakland, Lisa Durst and husband Rodney, Swanton, and Lorie Maffett and husband Neil, Lynchburg, Va.; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 21 N. Second St., Oakland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Leatherman officiating, assisted by Rodney Durst.

Interment will be in the Deer Park cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Garrett County.

YVETTE D. KLINE
CUMBERLAND - Yvette D. (Benson) Kline, 47, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998, at her residence in the presence of her family.
Born Aug. 26, 1951, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of James Ricewick Sr. and Josephine (Lechliter) Ricewick, both of Cumberland.

Mrs. Kline was a self-employed daycare provider and a licensed cosmotologist. She was a member of Cumberland Aerie 245 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the Maryland Daycare Association.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth L. Kline; two daughters, Jody R. (Benson) Miller and husband, Douglas, Cresaptown, Brook D. (Benson) Rose and husband, Rodney, Cumberland; one brother, James D. Ricewick Jr., and wife, Patricia, Cumberland; two sisters, Dana D. Brakeall and husband, Dale, Cumberland, Leeann D. Bolinger and husband, Terry, New Creek, Wash.; one grandson, Kaleb Sydney Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sherill A. Dillon officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.

FLORENCE L. FINAN
CUMBERLAND - Florence Louise Chandlee Finan, 79, of Cumberland, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born July 21, 1918, in South Orange, N.J., the daughter of the late Robert Morton Chandlee and Mary Small Chandlee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Donald Finan, and one brother, Robert Morton Chandlee.

Mrs. Finan graduated from Allegany High School in 1936 and was known in her community for numerous volunteer contributions to the West Side PTA, Girl Scouts of America and was a Deputy Sheriff in the Allegany County Animal Welfare Society. In addition, she was employed as a first Female Sales Representative at Potomac Motors Inc., an Office Receptionist for Dr. Henry Malec, and an E.K.G. Technician at Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Finan was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She held the office of Chapter Regent in the Jane Frazier Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Elizabeth Hundred Chapter of Colonial Dames, Founding Member and Secretary of the Cumberland Historical cemetery Organization, the Heritage Preservation Association, the Allegany County League of Women Voters, and the Southern League.

Mrs. Finan is survived by her son, Michael Francis Finan and his wife, Rachel, Glen Burnie; her daughter, Patricia Elizabeth Finan Wright, and her husband, William, Cumberland; two sisters, Elizabeth C. Weber, Philadelphia, Pa., and Jane C. Spangler, Daytona Beach, Florida; two brothers, William S. Chandlee, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Edward Chandlee, Ormond Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Michael Patrick, David George, Stephen Francis, Terese Michelle, Jon Edward Finan, Jean Louise Wilkerson, Ian Patrick Wright; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Stephen. Each of her grandchildren have fond, warm memories of the many special times she created and shared with them. Most of all, she will be remembered for her kindness, caring, generosity and touch of class.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene Street, Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The Cumberland Historic cemetery Organization will pray the Holy Rosary on Friday at 8 p.m., led by member Mary Ann Eckard. A brief eulogy will be given by member Mary C. Miltenberger.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Anthony DePaul Ripko officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park, where James Klipstein Sr., will serve as flag bearer.

The family request memorial contributions be directed to the Cumberland Historical cemetery Organization, 534 A Street, LaVale, MD 21502.

JOSEPH E. FINK, JR.
OAKLAND - Joseph Edward Fink, Jr., 53, of 373 Burnett Road, Oakland, died on Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at his home.
He was born May 3, 1944, in Weems, Va., and was a son of Edna (Lee) Fink, of College Park, and the late Joseph E. Fink, Sr.

Mr. Fink was an engineering assistant for Bell Atlantic, a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Sons of the American Legion, the Oakland-Mountain Lake Park Lions Club. He also was a member of the Democrat Club and chairman of the Garrett County Democratic Central Committee.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mary Ann (Friend) Fink; one daughter, Karen Marie Wotring, Louisville, Ky.; three sons, Joseph E. Fink III, Oakland, John M. Fink, Mountain Lake Park, and Charles G. Fink, also of Oakland; two brothers, Gerald Fink, Laurel, and Timothy Fink, Bowie; and two sisters, Paulette Stroud, Laurel, and Brenda Hawkins, Germantown; four grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Richard Spencer as celebrant.

Cremation will follow.

The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.

RAYMOND "BUCK" FIORITA
MOUNT SAVAGE - Raymond "Buck" Fiorita, 88, of Old Stonehouse Road, Mount Savage, died Monday, March 9, 1998, in Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Sept. 4, 1909, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank and Anna Marie (Calla) Fiorita. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Rosella (Bridges) Fiorita; and three brothers, Sam, Sylvester and Virgil Fiorita.

Mr. Fiorita was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. He was an Honorary Member of the United Rubber Workers of America, a member of the Barrelville Outdoor Club, and had managed the Barrelville Baseball Club in the late '40s and early '50s.

Surviving are a son, Lawrence Fiorita, Hancock; five sisters, Emma Lastner, Baltimore, Amelia Fiorita, Frostburg, Katherine Nelson, Baltimore, Vera Sieber, Hollywood, Fla., and Gertrude Thomson, California; and five brothers, Orlando Fiorita, Cumberland, Herman Fiorita, Frostburg, Valentino Fiorita, Frostburg, Richard Fiorita, Baltimore, and Paul Fiorita, Frostburg; and two granddaughters, Lisa Marie Fiorita, Hagerstown, and Karen Lee Bowman, Hagerstown.

Friends will be received in the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Paul Byrnes officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Church cemetery, Mount Savage.
