MORRIS M. KISAMORE
CUMBERLAND - Morris Mason Kisamore, 67, of Cumberland, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, at his residence.
Born June 27, 1930, in Riverton, W.Va., he was the son of the late Blaine and Maggie Virginia (Nelson) Kisamore. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Fleat H. Kisamore.

Mr. Kisamore had 32 years' service with Auto Electric & Carburetor, which later became Auto Parts Warehouse. He had been a carburetor technician.

He was an active member of Mount Herman United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Alma May (McCoy) Kisamore; one son, Gary Mason Kisamore and wife, Frances, Bloomery, W.Va.; two brothers, Blake J. Kisamore and wife, Betty, Shrewsbury, Pa., and Eugene B. Kisamore and wife, Sue, Flintstone; two grandsons, Brian Mason Kisamore and Craig Mason Kisamore, both of Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., corner of Greene and Smallwood streets, Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 1 p.m.

The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.

Interment will be in the McCoy cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Kisamore, Jim Kisamore, Tim Keplinger, Ronnie Prentice, Kenneth W. Kisamore and Kirk Paugh.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Mount Herman United Methodist Church, 13200 Mount Herman Road, Cumberland, MD 21502, or to the charity of one's choice.

NORA A. KIIFFNER
CUMBERLAND - Mrs. Nora Amelia Kiiffner, 80, formerly of 625 Columbia Ave., Cumberland, passed away Monday, May 25, 1998, at Allegany County Nursing Home.
Born in Accident, Md., on Aug. 22, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John Kahl and the late Mary Lula (Friend) Kahl. Her husband, Henry George Kiiffner, preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1987; also, two sisters, Anna Mae Brockey and Dorothy Hunsinger.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and a member of the Women's Guild of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are one son, James Henry Kiiffner, and wife, Susan, Bordontown, N.J.; two daughters, Dorothy Ann Bober, and husband, Alan, Trenton, Mich., and Sonja Ruth Johnson, and husband, William, Hyndman, Pa.; one brother, Raymond Kahl, Accident; 12 grandchildren, Andrew Bober, and wife, Sally, David Bober, Michael Bober, Cynthia Bober, Elizabeth Tierney, and husband, Tim, Stephen Kiiffner, Joshua Kiiffner, Justin Smith, Kristian Smith, Jeremy Smith, Thomas Johnson and Darrin Johnson.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wilfred Karsten officiating.

Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, make contributions to: Lutheran World Relief, 1333 S. Kirkwood Road, St. Louis, MO 63117.

GRACE A. GRIMES
CENTREVILLE - Grace A. Grimes, 90, former resident of Cumberland, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at Corsica Hills Nursing Home, Centreville. She had been residing with her son and family in Sudersville.
Born Oct. 26, 1908, at Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Bootman and Clara May (Barncord) Bootman. Her husband, Carl A. Grimes, died on Sept. 24, 1979.

Mrs. Grimes was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Robert L. Grimes and wife Clara, Sudersville; three stepsons, Clyde J. Grimes, Moorefield, W.Va., George C. Grimes, Cumberland, and Carl L. Grimes, Laurel; two sisters, May E. Monahan, Cumberland, and Evelyn Fleegle, LaVale; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services only will be held at the Fort Ashby cemetery, Fort Ashby, W.Va., on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna officiating.

DENTON H. GROSS
CUMBERLAND - Denton H. Gross, 67, of N. Centre Street, Cumberland, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at his home.
Born July 9, 1931, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Humbert C. and Fannie Mae (Robey) Gross.

Mr. Gross was a retired construction worker.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley J. Gross; three stepsons, Wayne McMannis and wife Tammy, Hyndman, Pa., David McMannis and wife Patsey, Cumberland, and Arnie Butler, Florida; three stepdaughters, Jeanette Thomas, Calvert, Annie Shipe and husband Harold, Cumberland, and Debbie Tucker and husband Fred, Palm Bay, Fla.; two brothers, Frank Gross and wife Terri, and Bob Gross and wife Kitty, all of Cumberland; five sisters, Mildred Smith, Cumberland, Mary Milburn and husband Bob, Mount Savage, Anna Mae Twigg and husband Doughlas, Cumberland, Evelyn McMannis and husband Joseph, Cumberland, and Helen Case and husband Roger, Hagerstown; and 11 step-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at noon with the Rev. Richard H. Jewell officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.

ANNA MAE HURT
CUMBERLAND - Anna Mae (Brown) Hurt, 88, of 111 N. Walnut Place, Cumberland, died on Monday, June 8, 1998, in the Hospice Unit of Sacred Heart Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1910, in Cumberland, the daughter of the late Burrell P. Brown Sr., and Lillie Mae (Meigs) Brown.

Mrs. Hurt was a homemaker and a Practical Nurse.

She was a member of the Church of God & Saints of Christ-Temple Beth El of Cumberland, where she served as Choir Mistress.

She also was a member of the Ministers' Wives Alliance and the YMWDA of Cumberland.

Surviving are her husband, Elder James F. Hurt Sr., Chief Steward; three sons, David Wallace Hurt, and wife, Terri, Rochester, N.Y., James F. Hurt Jr., and wife, Juanita, Yonkers, N.Y., and JeHu Ricardo Hurt, and wife, Sandra, of Yonkers; two daughters, Patricia Hurt Venter, and husband, William, Boston, Mass., Carol Jeanne Hurt Woods, and husband, Floyd, Fairmont, W.Va.; one brother, Burrell P. Brown Jr., Hickory, N.C.; one sister, Edith B. Hill, Portsmouth, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leasure-Stein Funeral Home, 230 Baltimore Ave., Cumberland.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with District Rabbi Jessie Brown officiating.

Interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Belleville cemetery in Suffolk, Va.

RICHARD L. GROVE
FROSTBURG - Richard L. "Dick" Grove, 54, of 118 Victoria Lane, Frostburg, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at his residence.
Born April 12, 1944, in Moline, Ill., he was the son of the late Garnett and Hattie (Mason) Grove.

Mr. Grove was employed with the State of Maryland's Western Correctional Institution as a case manager specialist, and he was an active member and past president of Maryland Classified Employees Association. He formerly was in the U.S. Air Force for four years and served in the Vietnam War.

He was a graduate of Rock Island High School, Rock Island, Ill., and Frostburg State University, Frostburg.

Surviving are his wife, Sheila (Duncan) Grove; one daughter, Jennifer N. Grove, Columbia, Md.; one son, R. Charles Grove, Frostburg; one sister, Bonnie Rodriquez and husband Mike, Davenport, Iowa; mother- and father-in-law, Eilene and William Duncan, Shaft; one niece, Amy Mockbee, and one nephew, Michael Mockbee, both of Tucson, Ariz.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with John Richmond officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Bill Tucker, Scott Orr, James Watson, Galen Batzel, Michael Timmons and Gorden Orr. Honorary pallbearers will be John Cuthberson and Louis Albright.

Memorials may be directed to the Memorial Hospital Hospice Care Unit.
