DOLORES J. HELMICK
CUMBERLAND - Dolores Jean Helmick, 64, of Race Street, Cumberland, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998, at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Oct. 13, 1933, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Meeks and Gladys (True) Meeks.
Mrs. Helmick was a member of Christ Untied Methodist Church. She was a member of Eagles Aerie 245, Cumberland; and Moose Lodge 271 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Case, Baltimore, and Michael Case, Cumberland; three daughters, Darla Lambert, Debbie Robertson and Pam Case, all of Cumberland; three brothers, Gerald Meeks, Fred Meeks and Bruce Meeks, all of Cumberland; one sister, Nadine Smith, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Leasure Stein Funeral Home, Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Michael Case, Brian Case, Richard Long, Steve Zollner, Jerry Hymes and Thomas Smith.
EVELYN HELMSTETTER
CUMBERLAND - Evelyn Jean Helmstetter, 65, of Franklin Street, Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at her residence.
Born Feb. 4, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Evelyn (Bridges) Steward. She also was preceded in death by one son, Richard Douglas Welsh. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Helmstetter was a homemaker and a sitter in the Cumberland area. She was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a former duck pin bowler.
Surviving are her husband, John T. Helmstetter; one son, Authur James Welsh and wife, Nancy, Cumberland; four grandchildren, Tabitha Sue Welsh, James Douglas Welsh, Jennah Laine Price and Derrick Thomas Welsh; one great-granddaughter, Maleaha Shawnee Welsh; and one special niece, Sonja Woodbury, Costa Rica, Mexico.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a Christian Wake Service held on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Vance Pastorius, O.F.M., Cap. as celebrant.
Interment will be in SS. Peter and Paul cemetery.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the SS Peter and Paul Restoration Fund.
ELSIE A. HEMING
CUMBERLAND - Edna A. Heming, 94, of Cumberland, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998, at her residence.
Born Oct. 14, 1903, in Parsons, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Lee) Crosten. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Ambrose Heming, in 1985; one grandson; and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Heming was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Virginia DeLong and husband Charles, Cumberland; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be held at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Thomas cemetery, Bedford, Pa.

GEORGE E. HENDRICKSON
CUMBERLAND - George "Ed" Edwin Hendrickson, 86, of 13122 Bedford Road, NE, Cumberland, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born March 6, 1912, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late George Willison Hendrickson and the late Grace (Wigfield) Hendrickson. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mae (Rader) Hendrickson, in 1987; two brothers, Norman and Kenneth Hendrickson; and two sisters, Edith Nixon and Margaret Brotemarkle.
Mr. Hendrickson had been an employee of the Celanese Corporation of America as a production specialist, retiring in 1972 after 43 years of service. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church; member East Gate Lodge 216 AF & AM; volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels since 1987; and member of AARP. He was a good neighbor and an avid gardener, growing vegetables and canning them until the last three months of his life.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald George Hendrickson and wife Barbara, Hagerstown, and Gary L. Hendrickson and wife Deborah, Cumberland; one brother, Paul Hendrickson and wife Mary, Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren, Jerry L. Hendrickson and wife Lori, Joseph G. Hendrickson and wife Holly, Lindsey A. Hendrickson and Alex E. Hendrickson; and two great-grandchildren, Jerry L. Hendrickson Jr. and Mariah N. Hendrickson.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. O. Morton Harris Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels at Memorial Hospital.
JOANNE BARBARA HENRY (REBELE)
MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK - Joanne Barbara Henry (Rebele) of Mountain Lake Park died suddenly on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. following complications from heart bypass surgery.
She was born Sept. 22, 1929, in Allentown, Pa. and was a daughter of the late Dr. Ralph Henry and Sara (Fritch) Henry.
Ms. Henry was a retired Garrett County school teacher having taught at Loch Lynn and Dennett Road Elementary schools. She was a graduate of Allentown High School, held an undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, and a master's degree from the University of Maryland. She had also completed graduate work at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
She was an active member of Garrett County Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Oakland Civic Club, the Mountain Laurel Garden Club, and the Association of University Women. She was also an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, a staunch supporter of the Garrett Lakes Arts Festival, both financially and by serving as a host for musicians in the symphony at Deep Creek Lake.
Ms. Henry is survived by one daughter, Suzanne B. Sincell, Mountain Lake Park; two sons, Carl H. (Hank) Rebele, Owings Mills, and David N. Rebele, Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark's Lutheran Church today at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating.
A graveside service will take place later in Macungie, Pa.

TERESA DAISY KIDWELL
CUMBERLAND - Teresa Daisy Kidwell, 79, of 433 Independence St., Cumberland, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at Cumberland Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 27, 1918, in Clarksburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Loretta and the late Mary (Negro) Loretta.
Mrs. Kidwell was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Oliver B. Kidwell, Cumberland; two daughters, Katherine A. McDermott and husband, Lawrence, Fairfax, Va., and Olivia M. Atkinson and husband, Rick, Ridgeley, W.Va.; a brother, Dominick Loretta, Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Josephine Fishell, Bridgeport, W.Va., and Catherine Carlomany, Cumberland; and three granddaughters, Lureta McDermott, Fairfax, Va., Summer Atkinson, Ridgeley, and Ashley Atkinson, Ridgeley.
