MARIE MONGOLD
CUMBERLAND - Marie Mongold, 86, of Glenwood Street, Cumberland, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at her residence.
Born Sept. 4, 1911, in Elkins, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Casper Higgs and Katie (Thompson) Higgs Cook. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Mongold, in 1985.
Mrs. Mongold was a homemaker, a volunteer for the local nursing homes, and a member of First Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Skidmore and husband Robert, Oakton, Va.; one brother, Shirl Higgs and wife Elizabeth, Cresaptown; one sister, Jane Sherman, Frostburg; and one grandson, Tad Scott Skidmore and wife Leah, Alexandria, Va.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin T. Lowery officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
DOROTHY A. MOORE
SILVER SPRING - Dorothy Ann Moore, 73, of Silver Spring, formerly of Mount Savage, died Monday, Jan 26, 1998.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph Moore, mother of Donna Rae Maley.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church 805 Wayne Ave., Silver Spring, on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m.
PATRICIA A. MOORE
CUMBERLAND - Patricia Ann Moore, 65, of Cumberland, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born June 21, 1933, in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late James P. and Margaret A. Moore.
Surviving are one brother, Richard E. Moore and wife, Sondra, Riverdale; five sisters, Mary Kathryn Reed, Delores T. Hornick and husband, Ralph, all of Cumberland, Constance E. Short and husband, John, Helen Hutchinson, all of Owings, and Sylvia Shipe, Everett, Pa.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Milton A. Hipsley officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Donald Davis, Howard Hovatter, Lester Houdersheldt and John L. Reed.
SHIRLEY LEE MOORE
CUMBERLAND - Shirley Lee (Lindsay) Moore, 68, of Cumberland, died Monday, March 9, 1998, at the Cumberland Nursing Home.
Born March 28, 1929, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Delaney A. and Elizabeth Susan (Keady) Lindsay Schaffer. She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Darber; and a stepfather, Carl F. Schaffer.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Harold William Moore; one daughter, Donna Bauman and husband, John, Wiley Ford, W.Va./Oldtown, Md.; one sister, Barbara Brockey and husband, Paul, Cumberland; one granddaughter, Susan Norman and husband, Ed, Wiley Ford; four great-grandchildren, Eddie, Brittini, Katlin and Lindsay Ann.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Rosary will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
At Mrs. Moore's request, she will be cremated.
THOMAS R. MORAN
MCHENRY - Thomas Raymond Moran, 2150 Mosser Road, McHenry, formerly of Westernport, went to be with his Lord April 1, 1998, while in Mon-General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born in Westernport March 15, 1922. He was the son of Patrick and Alice (Shulte) Moran.
He is survived by his wife Betty (Largent) Moran. He is also survived by his two daughters, Andrea and her husband Dr. Adnan Saad, Fairfax Station, Va., and Lynn Johnson and her husband Art, Rising Sun, Md. He had six grandchildren, Dina, Rhonda, Laura, and Tarek Saad and Katie and Lisa Johnson. He is survived by four brothers, Bill of Newark, Del., John of Moorehead City, N.C., Frank of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Edward of Colonial Height, Va.
Tom was a retired Delaware school teacher. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Oakland; a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Scottish Rite of Delaware and Ali Ghan Shrine of Cumberland, Ali Ghan Motor Corp, Cumberland, Oakland Masonic Lodge 192 AF & AM, Eastern Star Chapter 67 of Oakland, Mountain Lake Lions Club, Wally Bynum Airstream Club, and Camping Group of Ali Ghan Shrine.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the memorial service.
The Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oakland.

MARY E. MORGAN
MIDLOTHIAN - Mary E. (Keister) Morgan, age 67, of Midlothian, died Friday, July 24, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospice.
Born Nov. 14, 1930, in Midlothian, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Keister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Morgan, in May, 1977.
She was a Protestant by faith. She was a graduate of Beall High School. She retired from Frostburg State University after 17 years of service in the housekeeping department.
She is survived by three sons, Robert A. Morgan, and wife, Denise, Bel Air, Md., Gerald C. Morgan, and wife, Dianne, Midlothian, Mark H. Morgan, Reistertown; and one daughter, Melanie K. Estrella, and husband Emmanuel, Midlothian; five brothers, Harry C. Keister, and wife, Elaine, Romney, W.Va., Robert E. Keister, and wife, Pauline, Oldtown, James R. Keister, and wife, Gloria, Carlos, Ray E. Keister, and wife, Ora, Frostburg, Charles N. Keister, and wife, Nancy, Frostburg; three sisters, M. Elaine Resh, and husband, Robert, Warren, Ohio, Doris A. Morgan, and husband, Raymond, Midlothian, Janice K. Vought, and husband, James, Midlothian; four grandsons, Gerald C. Morgan Jr., and Brent A. Morgan, Midlothian, Ty A. Morgan, Frostburg, and Shawn Gough, Bel Air, Md.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
At her request her body was donated to the Maryland State Anatomy Board for her contribution to aid in the research of finding a cure for cancer.

A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian, on Monday, July 27, 1998, at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert G. Culler officiating.
MARVIN MORRAL JR.
SPRING GAP - Marvin Morral Jr., 68, of Spring Gap, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at his residence.
Born June 14, 1930, in Chaneysville, Pa., he was the son of the late Marvin Morral Sr., and Lona (Ketterman) Morral. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wade and Roy Morral; and one sister, Marian Vance.
Mr. Morral was a bartender at the Oldtown V.F.W. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Oldtown V.F.W.
Surviving are four sisters, Georgie Struckman, Ruth Crabtree, Thelma Allee and husband, Bill, Helen Long and husband, Paul, all of Cumberland; two brothers, Virgil Morral and wife, Dorothy, Flintstone, and Wilbur Morral and wife, Marie, Oldtown.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Oldtown Veterans cemetery on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.

SARAH A. MORRIS
FROSTBURG - Sarah Ann Morris, 90, of the Allegany County Nursing Home, formerly of Wrights Crossing, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Nov. 19, 1907, in National, she was the daughter of the late S. Ambrose and Mary (Neuse) Morris. She was also preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters and was the last of her immediate family.
Miss Morris was a retired seamstress from the Michael Berkowitz Company, and she was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; great, great-great, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Byrnes as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Parish cemetery.
