ANNA MARY O'BRIEN
CRESAPTOWN - Anna Mary (Shoemake) O'Brien, 68, formerly of Glen Oaks Trailer Court, Cresaptown, having been a resident of Lions Manor Nursing Home, died Saturday, March 14, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born May 6, 1929, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Cora (Winebrenner) Shoemake.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence O'Brien; two sons, George Petenbrink and wife, Gloria, Frostburg, and Raymond Petenbrink and wife, Judy, Engleton, Texas; two stepsons, Ernie O'Brien and wife, Marion, Orlando, Fla., and Roger O'Brien and wife, Peggy, Cumberland; two stepdaughters, Irene Moore and husband, Ira, Ridgeley, W.Va., and Shirley M. Lease and husband, Richard, Falling Waters, W.Va.; six grandsons; one granddaughter; three step-grandsons; three step-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and two sisters, Delores Harris, a patient at Lions Manor Nursing Home, and Mollabell Paul, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 West Main St., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Darrell Tichinel officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
GRACE V. O'BRIEN
OAKLAND - Grace V. O'Brien, 79, of Yough Glades, Oakland, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Feb. 4, 1919, in Brighton, England, she was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Lilian V. (Hilton) Chugg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor J. O'Brien in 1984; and by one step-son, James O'Brien.
She was a former cryptographer for the Australian Embassy in Washington, D.C., a former secretary for Consol Coal Corporation, Pittsburgh, Pa., and a former teacher's aid at Broadford Elementary School, Oakland.
A member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Oakland, she was a past president of the Bridge Club and the P.T.A. in Munhall, Pa.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon A. Mitchell, Ottawa, Canada; three sons, Theodore C. O'Brien, Aurora, W.Va., Brian C. O'Brien, McMurray, Pa., and Michael S. O'Brien, Damascus; one step-daughter, Kathleen Gera, Gambills; nine grandchildren; one step-grandson; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Services will be held at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church on Sunday, June 14, 1998, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Chip Lee officiating.
Interment will be in the Oakland cemetery.

VIRGINIA G. O'BRIEN
CUMBERLAND - Virginia Grace O'Brien, 76, of Arundel Street, Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998.
Born Nov. 11, 1921, in Elkins, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Oscar L. and Myrtle (Collins) Hovatter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William James O'Brien in 1990; and by one sister, Catherine Harris.
Mrs. O'Brien was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.
Surviving are two sons, John J. O'Brien, with whom she resided, and James M. O'Brien, Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Angela O'Brien, Frostburg, Steven O'Brien, Cumberland, and Katie O'Brien, Hagerstown.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, corner of Greene and Smallwood streets, Cumberland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Jewell officiating.
Interment will be in Davis Memorial cemetery.
LAURA W. O'HAVER
RAWLINGS - Laura W. (Crabtree) O'Haver, 82, of Rawlings, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born April 10, 1915, in Paw Paw, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Emma F. (Kerns) Crabtree. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ray O'Haver Sr., in 1986; one son, John William O'Haver, in 1995; one grandson, Ricky J. Haggerty, in 1976; five brothers; and one sister. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. O'Haver was a homemaker. She was a Brethren by faith.
Surviving are five daughters, Virginia Haggerty and husband Russell, Rawlings, Inez Dolly and husband Robert, Keyser, W.Va., Alma VanPelt and husband Harold, Joby Hanlin and husband Jerry, all of Rawlings, and Brenda Rizer and husband Mark, Keyser; two sons, Charles E. O'Haver and wife Joyce, and Lee O'Haver, all of Rawlings; two nieces, Dolly Parker and husband Jack, Biloxi, Miss., and Cleo Sullivan and husband Lee, Cresaptown; one nephew, Richard Roby and wife Sue, Keyser; 30 grandchildren; and 54 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Waco Biser officiating.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
ROSE MARIE O'HAVER
NIKEP - Rose Marie (McKenzie) O'Haver, 68, of Nikep, died Jan. 18, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. She had been a patient since Christmas Eve.
Born at Nikep on Feb. 16, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence McKenzie and Catherine (Nolan) McKenzie. She also was preceded in death by two sons, David and Johnny O'Haver.
Mrs. O'Haver was Catholic by faith. She was a graduate of Central High School.
Surviving are her husband, Olin Russell O'Haver; two sons, Michael O'Haver and wife, Linda, Lonaconing, and Steven O'Haver and wife, Cindy, Nikep; three daughters, Catherine Steele, Lonaconing and fiance Mark Sines, Patricia Butler and husband, Jake, Mount Savage, and Lois Elkins and husband, Jeff, Nikep; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Angeline Whiteman, Lonaconing; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., 8 East Main St., Lonaconing, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with Fr. James Hannon officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill cemetery, Moscow Mills.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Hyde, Steven O'Haver, Jr., Jason Elkins, Terry Steele, Kenny Dawson and Nathan O'Haver. Honorary pallbearer will be John Steele.
TODD MATTHEW OLINGER
CUMBERLAND - Todd Matthew Olinger, 22, of Cumberland, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Short Gap, W.Va.
Born May 31, 1975, in Cumberland, he was the son of Cathy Olinger, with whom he resided.
Todd was an employee of Biederlack Corporation of America. He was a member of the Honda Riders Club of America and was a 1993 graduate of Fort Hill High School.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his grandfather, Frank Olinger; several aunts and uncles, John and Randy DiFonzo, Bonnie Hinkle, all of Cumberland, Danny and Faye Olinger, Short Gap, Craig and Linda Olinger, Cumberland; one great-aunt and uncle, Jack and Lou Thompson, Cumberland; seven cousins, Troy Olinger, Short Gap, Tashia Mellott, Mark DiFonzo, Bosnia, Jonna DiFonzo, Laura Olinger, T.J. Olinger and Tyler Mellott, all of Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mildred C. Martin officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
CLARENCE "LONZA" O'NEAL JR.
MOUNT SAVAGE - Clarence Alonza "Lonza" O'Neal Jr., of Mount Savage, died Friday, July 3, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born May 22, 1923, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Clarence and Susan (Skipper) O'Neal. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, in 1983; and two brothers, James and John O'Neal.
Mr. O'Neal retired from the B&O; Shops. He was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the Mount Savage Volunteer Fire Company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. O'Neal was a member of Mount Savage Old Rail Post #6025 V.F.W.
Surviving are one son, Ronald O'Neal, and wife, Linda, Buckhannon, W.Va.; two grandsons, Ronald O'Neal Jr. and Randal O'Neal; and four granddaughters, Jennifer, Dayna, Bethany and Haley O'Neal; one sister, Zola Shriner, and husband, Donald, Mount Savage; one brother, Basil O'Neal, Loraine, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating.
Interment will be in the Mount Savage Methodist cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by Old Rail Post #6025 V.F.W.
Pallbearers will be Ronald O'Neal Jr., Randal O'Neal, Fred Murphy Jr., Ivan Murphy, Wayne Shriner and David Shriner.
