CHARLES W. "BILLY" SCHRAMM
LONACONING - Charles W. "Billy" Schramm, 78, of 16000 Old Beechwood Road, Lonaconing, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Aug. 14, 1920, in Barton, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Brown) Schramm. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Schramm.
Mr. Schramm was a 1938 graduate of Barton High School, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, and was Presbyterian by faith.
Surviving are his wife, Alta (Algoe) Schramm; a son, Charles M. Schramm and wife, Jean, Poolesville; four brothers, Harold "Dimps" Schramm, Kenneth Schramm, Joseph Schramm, all of Barton, and Clarence Schramm, Akron, Ohio; four sisters, Mary Snyder and June Kiddy, Barton, Anna Keen, Akron, Ohio, and Emma Howe, Clinton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Chuck Schramm, St. David, Pa., Kevin Schramm and Laura Schramm, Poolesville.
Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Boal Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill cemetery, Moscow Mills.

AKRON, Ohio - Doris M. Schrock, 65, passed away Oct. 5, 1998, in Akron.
Dottie was born in Frostburg, Md., and moved to Akron in 1950.
She was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ.
Dottie was full of life and brought pleasure to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Greening; brothers Ray, Paul and Jack Greening, and Glenn Greening.
She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Cheryl Wright and Sally Battle; brother, Charles Greening; sister, Jean Collins; special family Catherine Smith and Shirley Brady; grandchildren, James, Heather, Brooke and Anthony; dear friend, Donna Stiles; and many family and friends who loved her dearly.
God saw that you were getting tired, And recovery was not to be. So He put his arms around you, And whispered "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer And saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating. A determined spirit was at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Cremation has occurred and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1480 Eastwood Ave., Akron, OH 44305.

JAMES R. SCHULTHEIS
GOLDSBORO, N.C. - Senior Master Sgt. (Ret.) James Robert Schultheis, 63, of 148 Poinsettia Drive, died Friday at his home.
A native of Frostburg, Md., Mr. Schultheis was the son of the late Henry and Susan Wiebrecht Schultheis.
He received the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Distinguished Presidential Unit Citation, and was Air Operations Superintendent with over 30 years' service in the United States Air Force.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. from the Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Kuntz.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Coastal Carolina State Veterans cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine McDonald Schultheis; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Robert Baker, Mount Olive, Kathleen Schultheis, Snow Hill, and Kristi and Bill Ohara, Goldsboro; sons and daughters-in-law, James Schultheis II and Robin Schultheis, Statesville, John and Brenda Schultheis, Goldsboro, and Jerry and Susan Schultheis, of the Shine community; nine grandchildren; brothers, Henry Schultheis, Sarasota, Fla., William Schultheis, Baltimore, Md., and John Schultheis, Rising Sun, Md.

ANGEL M. SCHULTZ
CUMBERLAND - Angel Marie Schultz, 15, of 601 Shriver Ave., Cumberland, died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Memorial Hospital shortly after arrival.
Born May 15, 1982, in Little Rock, Ark., she was the daughter of Wayne Thomas Schultz Sr. and Bonnie Jean (Spiker) Schultz of Cumberland. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Joseph Francis Schultz Sr.
Miss Schultz was a member of the tenth grade of Allegany High School and was home schooled by Polly Light.
Surviving in addition to her parents are three brothers, Thomas Wayne Schultz and wife Jodie, Cumberland, Jake Daniel Schultz, Pasadena, Md., and Christopher Alexander Schultz, at home; her paternal grandmother, Mary F. McPeters, Pasadena; her maternal grandparents, Charles Walter Spiker Sr. and Judith Spiker, Cincinnati, Ohio; and her special friends and relatives and especially, Brittany Marsh.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken DeHaven and the Rev. Wesley R. Beahm officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
MARY FRANCES CAVANAUGH SCHULTZ
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Mary Frances Cavanaugh Schultz, 68, of Greenville, S.C., formerly of Cumberland, died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at the National Health Care Nursing Home, Greenville.
Born Sept. 18, 1929, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John and Aletta (Wise) Cavanaugh. She also was preceded in death by three brothers. Mrs. Schultz was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Schultz was a retired registered nurse working in Cumberland, Baltimore and in Dayton, Ohio. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy in 1948 and a graduate of Allegany School of Nursing in 1951. She was a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenville.
Surviving are her husband, Richard L. Schultz; one daughter, Catherine Ann Lloyd and husband, Jeff, Jamestown, N.C.; one son, Edward J. Schultz and wife, Pamela, Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Amanda and Kenton Lloyd.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be conducted Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Friday at 9:30 a.m. with Fr. Milton A. Hipsley as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

HAROLD C. SCHURG
FROSTBURG - Harold C. Schurg, age 76, of 19104 Wencks Lane, Frostburg, died Nov. 1, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 25, 1922, in Melcroft, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Ethel (Ferguson) Schurg. He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Schurg; and two brothers, Ralph Schurg, and John Schurg. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Schurg was retired from Kaiser Refractories of Zihlman.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Evelyn (Buskirk) Schurg; two sons, Roger Schurg and wife, Gerry, and Steve Schurg; one daughter, Lynn Baker and husband, Randy, all of Frostburg; eight grandchildren, Eric Schurg and wife Debbie, Brian Schurg, Katie Kenney, Larry Kenney, Colleen Kasecamp, Bill Kenney, Sean Kenney and Stephanie Schurg; two great-grandchildren, Niki Schurg and Erin Kenney; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. T. William Preston officiating.
Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bill Kenney, Sean Kenney, Larry Kenney, Keith Filsinger, Greg Thomas and Carl Buskirk.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Schurg and Eric Schurg.
