CLARE C. DONEGAN
CUMBERLAND - Clare C. Donegan, 83, of the Cumberland Nursing Home, formerly of Oldtown Manor Apartments, Cumberland, and Syracuse, N.Y., died Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born on April 25, 1913, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Frances K. (Yarnell) Donegan. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Anderson, Baltimore, Mary Donegan, Cumberland, and Helen Fost, Hagerstown; and one brother, Vincent J. Donegan, Hancock.
Miss Donegan was a supervisor at the Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, N.Y. After retirement, she returned to Cumberland. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cumberland.
Surviving are five sisters, Ursula M. Donegan and Patricia Hess, both of Cumberland, Eugenia McGarry and Janice McCarty, both of Hancock, and Nelda Millner, Atlanta, Ga.; and two brothers, Thomas F. Donegan, Hancock, and Charles C. Donegan, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. A rosary will be said Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Hancock, on Friday, March 14, 1997 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George W. Glick as celebrant.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
BONNIE M. ANDERSON
CUMBERLAND - Bonnie Mae Anderson, 53, of Mexico Farms, Cumberland, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997, from Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born April 2, 1943, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Geraldine (Struntz) Smith.
Mrs. Anderson was a former employee of Sears, and an active member of God's Little Chapel. She also was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 33 years, John Anderson; one daughter, Laura Crawford and husband Scott, and one granddaughter, Heather Ruggles, all of Cumberland; one brother, Arthur Smith II and wife Mary Virginia, Martinsburg, W.Va.; and her stepmother, Ethel Smith, Fort Ashby, W.Va. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many beloved friends.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Madeline Cook officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers attending will be Michael Beeman, Matthew Smith, Donny Bennett, Virgil Loar Jr., Richard Kerns and Todd Pressman.
Special thanks and appreciation is extended to the caring ambulance and rescue workers, District 16, and the staff of Sacred Heart Hospital's ICU and Emergency Room units as well as Mrs. Anderson's physician, Dr. S.T. Chang.
May she rest in the sheltered loving arms of Jesus until we meet again.
M. FRANK HINZE
FRONT ROYAL, Va. - M. Frank Hinze, 67, of Front Royal, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born July 23, 1929, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Herman Frank and Sylvia Hinze. He also was preceded in death by a wife, Elva Hinze.
Mr. Hinze was a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church, Front Royal. He was a retired store manager for J.J. Newberry/McCrory Company, having managed a store in Front Royal. He was a retired salesperson with Lance, Inc., in the Winchester and Front Royal areas. He was a van driver for Angels Korner Day Care Center in Front Royal.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Hinze; two daughters, Donna Rae Robertson, Front Royal, and Judy Kay Decker, of Stephens City; one son, Howard Franklin "Butch" Hinze, Dover, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Joanne Morrison Hensley and Nancy Morrison Connelly, both of Front Royal; one brother, Charles Hinze, LaVale; one sister, Donnalynne Shircliffe, Cumberland; six grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main St, Front Royal, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Marlow Heights Baptist Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harvey Skinner officiating.
Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County.
Pallbearers will be Russ Livengood, Dwain Place, Joseph Hesson, Francis McFael, Ray Winn and James E. Cannon.

VIRGIL D. FIORITA
FROSTBURG - Virgil David Fiorita, 72, of 18409 Troutman Lane SW, died Thursday, June 5, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Oct. 3, 1924, in Morantown, he was the son of the late Frank and Jennie (Arnone) Fiorita. He also was preceded in death by two half brothers, Joseph Fiorita and Samuel Fiorita.
Mr. Fiorita was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, Cumberland. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Theresa (Matese) Fiorita; one daughter, Linda Lewis and husband Lynn, with whom he resided; five brothers, Paul Fiorita, Valentino Fiorita, Herman Fiorita and wife Althea, all of Frostburg, Orlando Fiorita and wife Louise, Cumberland, and Richard Fiorita and wife Lita, Baltimore; one sister, Gertrude Thompson, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; one half brother, Raymond Fiorita, Barrelville; four half sisters, Vera Seibert, Holiday, Fla., Emma Lastner, Berlin, Md., Katherine Nelson, Baltimore, and Amilia Fiorita, Frostburg; one brother-in-law, John Matese and wife Lois, Morantown; one sister-in-law, Betty Roik and husband Leo, Frostburg; three grandchildren, Scott Lewis, David Lewis and Jaimie Lewis, all of Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Monday, June 9, 1997, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Paul A. Byrnes as celebrant.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Scarpelli, Keith Toothaker, Louis Femi, Doug Hanson, Fred Comer and John Winebrenner.

THOMAS A. DONNELLY
WESTERNPORT - Thomas A. Donnelly, 74, of Westernport, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
He was born in Piedmont, W.Va., and was the son of the late John A. Donnelly and Bessie (Munsey) Donnelly. He also was preceded in death by his wife Pearl M. (Raines) Donnelly who died in 1987; and a son, Donald W. Donnelly.
Mr. Donnelly was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Westernport. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served in both the Army and the Marine Corp.
He was a life member and Past Adjutant of Victory Post #155 American Legion in Westernport, and a member of Queens Point Post 6775 VFW in McCoole. He retired from the maintenance department of Westvaco as a lubricator in November, 1981. He was a member of Luke Local #676 UPIU. Mr. Donnelley was very active in the past with little league baseball in the Tri-Towns and was very proud of the fact that the current little league field was named after him.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Donnelly, Cumberland, Thomas Donnelly and wife, Susie, Westernport, and Lonnie Donnelly, Piedmont; one sister, Geraldine Gardner, Akron, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, with the Rev. Jim Hannon officiating.
Full military honors will be accorded by members of the local veterans organizations at St. Peter's cemetery following Mass.

CHARLES W. FISHER
FROSTBURG - Charles W. Fisher, 72, of 18708 Fisher View Drive, Frostburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 13, 1925, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late William and Eva (Lancaster) Fisher.
Mr. Fisher was retired from Walter Yoder and Sons, where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Grace Community Church, Seton Drive, Cumberland.
Surviving are his wife, Lucy (Helker) Fisher, Frostburg; two daughters, Debbie Fisher, Cumberland, and Tammy Fisher, Frostburg; one stepson, Dick Balsley, Ariz.; one granddaughter, Jazlyn Fisher, Cumberland; three brothers, Larry Fisher, Midlothian, Sonny Fisher, Grahamtown, and Homer Fisher, Baltimore; one sister, Lawanda Kight, Baltimore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Leroy Logsdon officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
