HELEN L. CHIZMAR
ACCIDENT - Helen Louise (Frazee) Chizmar, 77, of Accident, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born July 12, 1920, in Friendsville, she was a daughter of the late William and Ollie Belle (Cuppett) Frazee. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Chizmar, in 1974.

Mrs. Chizmar was a member of Hoyes United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Gladys Frazee, Oakland; two nephews, Darrell Frazee, Accident, and Dale Rodeheaver, Accident; and one niece, Shirley Korom, Brunswick, Ohio.

Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, McHenry, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland cemetery.

M. DELORES CHAPMAN
MIDLOTHIAN - M. Delores Chapman, 66, of Midlothian, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born July 30, 1930, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late James O. and Thelma E. (Dawson) Truly. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lou Jasper; and one brother, James L. Truly.

Surviving are her husband, F. Dale Chapman; two daughters, Linda L. DeVore, Midlothian, and Judy Ann Chapman, Frostburg; one son, Gary D. Chapman, Midlothian; two granddaughters, Lisa L. Hardy and Jennifer Ann Simpson; three grandsons, Brandon G. Simpson, Brian DeVore and Adam Devore; and one great-grandson, Calvin Dale Hardy; three sisters, Elaine Winner, Consol, June Lee Bayless and Patricia Jeske, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and two brothers, Donald Truly and Kenneth Truly, both of Cleveland.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmie W. Blair officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Winner, Marty Winner, Ryan Chapman, Brian DeVore, Adam DeVore and Brandon Simpson.

EVELINA G. CHANNELL
CUMBERLAND - Evelina "Eve" Goff Channell, a former resident of Parsons, W.Va., and more recently a resident of Cumberland, departed this life Wednesday, June 4, 1997, at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. She had been in declining health and death was attributed to respiratory failure.
She was born at Parsons, W.Va., a daughter of the late James Isaac and Margaret Alice (Hansford) Goff. On April 7, 1934, at Elkins, W.Va., she was married to William Elmo Channell, who preceded her in death September, 1973. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Delvin "Dizz" Kenneth Goff Sr., and George Franklin Goff; and four sisters, Beulah Nestor, Lena Jones, Elsie Davis, and Grace Gilmore.

Mrs. Channell was a graduate of Parsons High School with the Class of 1930, of which she was a member of the Quota Club. She was a graduate of the Chicagom School of Interior Design, Chicago, and a graduate of Emmaus Bible School at Oak Park, Ill. She had worked as a sales lady for Evelyn Barton Brown, Cumberland; was an attendant with Ren Roy Flowers, Cumberland; and was an accomplished writer of short stories and poems. She was a past president of the Women's Civic Club and a member of the Historical Society, both of Cumberland. She was an avid bridge player. Mrs. Channell was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Cumberland.

Surviving are one sister, Ethel V. Robertson, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Jeffrey A. Barb Funeral Home, 312 Main St., Parsons, W.Va., on Friday, June 6, 1997, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Saturday, June 7, 1997, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Allen D. Crosten officiating.

Interment will follow in the Parsons City cemetery.

LESTER CHANEY
WESTERNPORT - Lester Chaney, 88, of 466 Spruce St., Westernport, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
He was born March 10, 1909 at Westernport the son of the late Hudson L. Chaney and Minnie (Steinla) Chaney. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Lee Chaney; four brothers, Harley, Ralph, Ercel, and Hudson Chaney, Jr.; and one sister, Thelma Smith.

Mr. Chaney retired in 1976 from the B&O; Railroad, having worked in the Signal Department, and he was a well-known electrician throughout the Tri-Towns.

He was a Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, W.Va., having been a member of the Men's Bible Class. He was a life member of the Tri-Towns Lions Club, with 39 years as secretary-treasurer. He also was presented the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for outstanding Lionism and has received numerous 100% attendance awards. He also was a member and treasurer of the former Bruce High School Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadine (Wilson) Chaney; one son, Lester A. Chaney, and wife, Pam, Westernport; two daughters, Monta Jean Kyle and husband, Sonny, Barton, and Sandra Faye Morris and husband, Gary, Westernport; one brother, Dayton Chaney, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Debbie Hennessey, Nancy Redd, Rick Kyle, Deena Bradley, Gary Morris, Jr., Margie Rawlings, Craig Morris, and Jamie Chaney; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Jarrett and the Rev. Gary Morris officiating.

Interment will be in Philos cemetery, Westernport.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Tri-Town Lions Club.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Tri-Towns Lions Club.

ANGELA THERESE CHAMBERS
CUMBERLAND - Angela Therese Chambers, 36, of Durham Drive, Cumberland, died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997, at her home.
Born March 9, 1961, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Gerald Freeman Chambers and Maria Therese (Koenig) Chambers, Cumberland.

Miss Chambers attended Friends Aware. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Surviving besides her parents are three brothers, Gerald Chambers and wife, Monica, Atlanta, Ga., Georg Chambers and wife, Rebecca, Catonsville, and Christopher Chambers and wife, Frances, Springfield, Va.; two sisters, Norma Chambers-Lloyd and husband, Stephen, Edgewood, and Kathleen Chambers, Cumberland; and six nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas R. Bevan, celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Patrick's cemetery, Mount Savage.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Extension, c/o Rev. Msgr. Kenneth Velo, P.O. Box 2303, Chicago, IL 60690-9510; or to Friends Aware Inc., Cumberland.

Arrangements are being handled by the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland.

FRANKLIN L. CARROLL II
CUMBERLAND - Franklin L. Carroll II, 82, of Cumberland, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born April 21, 1915, in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Franklin L. Carroll and Gertrude G. (Pugh) Carroll. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Kelley) Carroll on Jan. 7, 1987.

Mr. Carroll was a retired self-employed attorney. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are one son Franklin L. Carroll III and wife Irene, Fullerton, Calif., two grandchildren, Franklin L. Carroll IV and Irene Carroll, both of Fullerton, Calif., and several cousins.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr., officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

CARMEN J. FAZENBAKER
WESTERNPORT - Carmen Julia Fazenbaker, 85, of 128 Wood St., Westernport, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore.
Born July 23, 1912, in Clarksburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Nicaso and Josephine Fuente. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Fazenbaker, in 1990; and five brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Fazenbaker was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, a member and past president of the Westernport Senior Citizens, a volunteer at Westernport Elementary School having helped children in the computer lab, and a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Sancta Maria No. 485.

Surviving are one son, Ronald R. Fazenbaker and wife Cathy, Westernport; one daughter, Janice Morton and husband Tom, Salisbury, Md.; one brother, David Fuente, Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Anita Kirk, Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport, and Nora Fernandez, Durant, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Jason, Phillip, and Brian Fazenbaker, and Christopher Miller.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father James Hannon as celebrant.

Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.

The Catholic Daughters will hold a Christian wake service at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
