REGINA B. HARRISON
WESTERNPORT - Regina B. Harrison, 82, of Valley View Road, Keyser, W.Va., formerly of Westernport, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
She was born Dec. 15, 1915, at Rawlings, the daughter of the late Joseph Lease and the late Katie Mae Lease. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Harrison in 1980.

Mrs. Harrison was an homemaker, and she was Presbyterian by faith.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Harrison and wife, Phyllis, Keyser, with whom she resided, and Thomas Harrison and wife, Betsy, LaVale; one brother, Lawrence Lease, Cumberland; one sister, Helena Burger, Uniontown, Ohio; and grandchildren, Dawn Housel, Keyser, Denny Harrison, U.S.A.F., Mobile, Ala., Larissa Harrison, Keyser, and Stephanie Harrison, LaVale; two step-grandchildren, Jessica Matlick, Annapolis, and Jason Thrasher, LaVale; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Philos cemetery, Westernport.

BAXTER T. HARSH
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Baxter Thomas Harsh, 76, of Canyon Crest Drive, Riverside, died Sunday, July 27, 1997, at his home after a short illness. The Neptune Society, Riverside, handled the arrangements.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Baxter C. and Bessie (Crable) Harsh Fisher. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Harsh, St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1983; and one sister, Elma (Harsh) Duer, Asheville, N.C., in 1992.

Mr. Harsh served in the U.S. Army, being stationed at Fort Kamehame, Hawaii, at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack. He was a cryogenic insulation inspector for North American Rockwell, Seal Beach, where he worked on the Saturn launch vehicle for Apollo II. He later worked as a Radiology Technologist at the U.S. Veterans Hospital, Long Beach, and the Jerry Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital, Loma Linda, Calif., until his retirement in 1985.

He received a diploma in 1949 from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, a Medical and X-ray Technology Diploma from Franklin School of Science and Arts, Philadelphia in 1950. He graduated from Johns Hopkins School of X-ray Technology, Baltimore, in 1952.

Surviving are his wife Charlene; and one sister, Betty L. Lindner, LaVale, Md.

HARRY E. HART
CUMBERLAND - Harry E. Hart, 95, of Kensington-Algonquin, Cumberland, died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 8, 1901, in Connellsville, Pa., he was the son of the late David Burton and Idabell (Sanner) Hart. He also was preceded in death by his first wife of 59 years, Margaret Theresa Welsh; his second wife, Viola R. (Ruppert) Hart; one son, J. Harry Hart; and a sister, Ora Edna Hart.

Mr. Hart was a machinist at the Celanese Corp. He was a member of the Cumberland Eagles; Senior Citizens; and the 500 Club.

Surviving are one son, Dr. Robert G. Hart, Venice, Fla.; four grandchildren, Robert Hart Jr., Spartensburg, S.C., Kevin Hart, Toland, Ohio, Scott Hart, Slippery Rock, Pa., and Steven Hart, Guilder Land, N.Y.; two great-grandsons, Christopher and Stephen Hart; a former daughter-in-law, Joan (Dressman) Hart, Slippery Rock, Pa.; and two nieces, Roberta Case and husband Gene, Pittsburgh, Pa., and JoAnne Ansell, Dawson, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Stanley Cardwell officiating.

Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery, Cumberland.

The family requests that contributions be made to Christ United Methodist Church, Fourth and Race streets.

ALBERT F. HARTKA
OAKLAND - Albert F. Hartka, 79, of Garrett Road, Oakland, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born June 4, 1918, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank T. and Pauline (Czyzechowicz) Hartka.

Prior to his retirement, he was the manager of School Building Operations for the Baltimore City School System. He attended the Polytechnic Institute, Baltimore, Johns Hopkins University, Wright Junior College and Texas A&M.;

He was a member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Uniontown, Pa., and St. Peter's Catholic Church, Oakland., He also was a member of Oakland Chapter #1771, Knights of Columbus.

A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Proctor Kildow Post #71, American Legion, Oakland.

He is survived by his wife, Anna M. (Kitko) Hartka; two daughters, Barbara Fritts, Abingdon, and Christine Comfort, Oakland; one son, Albert J. Hartka, Baltimore; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Eugene Yackanich as celebrant. Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.

The Rosary was recited at the funeral home Monday evening.

The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 378, Oakland, MD 21550.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the various organizations in southern Garrett County.

HELEN J. HARTUNG
CUMBERLAND - Helen Jeanette Hartung, 78, of 814 Trost Ave., died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 22, 1918, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Howard M. and Bessie (Lashley) Hensel. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Frederick Hartung Sr.; one brother, Charles Hensel; and a sister, Doris Orndoff.

Mrs. Hartung was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She was a 1936 graduate of Penn Avenue High School.

Surviving are two sons, Paul Frederick Hartung Jr. and wife Molly, LaVale, and Robert Hartung and wife Judy, Wiley Ford, W.Va.; a brother, Kenneth Hensel, Cumberland; five grandchildren, Tressa Nicewarmer and husband Scott, Hagerstown, Stephanie Hartung, Frederick, Penni Hartung, Barry Hartung and Bobbi Hartung, Wiley Ford, W.Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Jordon Nicewarmer, Hagerstown.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Lee McDaniel officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

ALMA (CHABOT) HARVEY
ECKHART - Alma Chabot Harvey, 70, of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., formerly of Eckhart, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at her home.
Mrs. Harvey was born in Eckhart and went to Brevard County in 1973 from Beltsville.

She was the former co-owner of Virginia Fried Chicken in Satellite Beach. Mrs. Harvey was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church where she volunteered with the Daisy Pickers.

Survivors include her husband, William "Glen" Harvey of Indian Harbour Beach; a daughter, Christine Clemens, Indian Harbour Beach; a son, William "Chip" Harvey, Melbourne, Fla.; sisters, Rita Lavin, Satellite Beach; Agnes Passapae, Baltimore; Patricia Tase, Orlando, Fla.; Mary Lewis, Eckhart; Hilda Duda, Grantsville and Catherine (Sister Janet) Chabot, the Bronx, N.Y.; brothers, Leo Chabot, Beltsville; Thomas Chabot, Eckhart; Bernard Chabot, Surfside Beach, S.C.; Leonard Chabot, Hagerstown; Richard Chabot, Indian Harbour Beach; James Chabot, Cumberland and Edward Chabot, Raleigh, N.C. and four grandchildren.

The body was cremated.

Donations may be made to Holmes Regional Hospice, 1900 Dairy Road, West Melbourne, FL 32904, or to Holy Name of Jesus Endowment Fund, 3050 North State Road, A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903.

C. DALE HARVEY
OAKLAND - Carlton Dale Harvey, 68, of Oakland, died on Sunday, April 13, 1997, at his home following an extended illness.
Born June 19, 1928, at Sand Flat, he was a son of the late Thomas Edward Harvey and Elva Jane (Sharpless) Harvey.

Mr. Harvey was the proprietor of Harvey's Superette and Used Cars for 31 years. Upon retirement, he was employed as an automobile salesman for both Team One and Oakview Motors. He also worked as a security guard at the Wisp Resort and at Broadford Recreational Park. He was a member of the Terra Alta Moose and a member and musician at Calvary Tabernacle near Accident.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Betty (DeWitt) Harvey; two daughters, Judy E. Hartung and husband Robert, Wiley Ford, W.Va., and Tracy D. Harvey, Oakland; one son, Keith D. Harvey and his wife Teresa, Oakland; two sisters, Helen Bittinger, Hagerstown, and Hazel Harvey, Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren, Barry, Penni and Bobbi Hartung, Brittany and Alexis Harvey; along with a number of close friends and relatives.

Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home in Oakland on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the Calvary Tabernacle on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shirland Hardman and the Rev. Ralph Jacks officiating.

Interment will be in the Deer Park cemetery.

The family requests memorials take the form of contributions to the Calvary Tabernacle or Hospice of Garrett County.
