ROBERT D. HARVEY SR.
HAGERSTOWN - Robert DeSales Harvey Sr., 77, of 20011 Sheridan Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, March 14, 1997, at the Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 4, 1919, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late William F. and Abby (Twigg) Harvey. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Edna A. (Sirbaugh) Harvey, in 1992; stepmother, Katherine McInturff Harvey; sister, Elta Frances Bender; and two brothers, William F. Harvey III and Lester Harvey.
Mr. Harvey served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was employed with Fruit Growers Express Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Ann Davenport, Las Vagas, Nev., and Mary K. Prince, Hagerstown; one son, Robert D. Harvey Jr., Hagerstown; one brother, John Joseph Harvey, Cumberland; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 226 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, on Monday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. George A. Limmer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the Rest Haven cemetery, Hagerstown.

RUTH M. HARVEY
OAKLAND - Ruth M. Harvey, 67, of Oakland, died Monday, July 28, 1997, in Oakland.
Born June 23, 1929, in Elk Garden, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Daniel M. Wrightsman and Sarah (Cosner) Wrightsman. She also was preceded in death by her husband Albert M. Harvey, in 1987.
Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Albert M. "June" Harvey Jr. and wife Bonnie, and Herbert F. "Fuzz" Harvey and wife Cathy, both of Oakland; two foster sons, George W. Landis and wife Donna, Terra Alta, W.Va., and John E. Landis and wife Sue, Friendsville; four grandchildren; and five foster grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Loch Lynn Church of God on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Fletcher officiating.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.
Family suggests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Southern Garrett Rescue Squad.
ERNEST K. HAUSER
FRIENDSVILLE - Ernest Kyle Hauser, 86, of 1919 Bishoff Road, Friendsville, died Wednesday, March 26, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born May 29, 1910, in Oakland, he was a son of the late Henry and Julia (Enlow) Hauser. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Hauser.
Mr. Hauser was a member of Hoyes United Methodist Church. He also was a member of Oak Grove Church of the Brethren Choir and its Men's Fellowship. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea, he was a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a member of Accident American Legion, Post 208, and was a retired mechanic and equipment operator with the Garrett County Roads Department.
Surviving are his wife, Alice V. (Bond) Hauser; two sons, Edward Hauser, San Antonio, Texas, and Joseph Hauser, Friendsville; three daughters, Shirley Sines, Columbus, Ga., Judy Rush, Friendsville, and Joyce Bowser, Grantsville; a brother, Willard Hauser, Mountain Lake Park; a sister, Pauline Willett, Clarksburg, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, McHenry, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Matthews and the Rev. Samuel Wachter officiating.
Interment will be in the Hoyes Methodist cemetery.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by area veteran's service organizations.
LEAVIE J. HAWKINS
TACOMA, Wash. - Leavie Jane Hawkins, 77, of 1516 South 117th St., Tacoma, Wash., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, in Lakewood.
Born June 20, 1920, in Marshall, Ark., she grew up in Oklahoma, and was the daughter of the late Tutt and Zilpha (Delk) Tyler.
Mrs. Hawkins was a graduate of Oklahoma State and taught elementary education in the Clover Park School District in Tacoma, Wash. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved animals and was constantly adopting and caring for them.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Stuart Hawkins, Tacoma; four aunts, Otha Keeling and Minnie Thompson, both of Skiatuk, Okla., Eva Delk, Porterville, Calif., and Grace Hawkins, Frostburg, Md.; one brother-in-law, Richard Hawkins and wife Wanda, LaVale; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Wagner and husband Fred, and Lady Mai Hawkins, all of Augusta, Ga., and Virginia Goodwin, Danville, Va.; one cousin, Mrs. D.H. Lambertson, Seattle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Graveside services will be conducted at Frostburg Memorial Park on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Bernadette Ross officiating.

MARVIN A. HAWKINS
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Marvin Arthur Hawkins, 67, of 1937 Dunham Court, Augusta, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
Mr. Hawkins was born in Frostburg, Md. He was employed by Kroger on Washington Road, Augusta, retiring after 20 years as a receiving clerk. He also was a retired Sergeant major in the U.S. Army, after serving 28 years. He was a Protestant by faith, and lived in Augusta since 1962.
Surviving are his wife, Lady Mai Hawkins, Augusta; four sons, Kenneth R. Hawkins, Knoxville, Tenn., Steven Alan Hawkins, Hephzibah, Ga., Ronald B. Hawkins and Donald G. Hawkins, both of Augusta; two daughters, Lawona H. Peebles, Keysville, Fla., and Sheila H. Hall, Martinez; two brothers, Richard Hawkins, LaVale, Md., and Stuart Hawkins, Tacoma, Wash.; two sisters, Margaret Wagner and Mary Goodwin, both of Danville, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

RICHARD J. HAWKINS
UPPER MARLBORO - Richard "Buddy" J. Hawkins, 55, of 113 Weymouth St., Upper Marlboro, died Monday, April 7, 1997, at his residence.
Born June 24, 1941, in Frostburg, he was the son of Grace E. (Ringler) Hawkins, of Frostburg, and the late Richard J. Hawkins Jr.
Mr. Hawkins was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Frostburg. He graduated from Beall High School, Frostburg, and received his bachelor and master's degrees in education at Frostburg State University. He retired after teaching for 30 years in the Prince Georges County school system.
Surviving in addition to his mother is one brother, R. Dale Hawkins, Upper Marlboro.
There will be no visitation.
Private services will be held at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Friday, April 11, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Newmark officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Paul-Wilhelm cemetery, West Salisbury, Pa.

MICHAEL T. HEALY
ARLINGTON, Va. - Michael Timothy "Tim" Healy, 56, of Arlington, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1997, at the Medical College of Virginia.
Born March 4, 1940, in Cumberland, he was the son of Adelaide (Maffley) Healy Dabney, of Arlington, and the late James Paul Healy.
Mr. Healy was Catholic by faith.
Surviving in addition to his mother are one sister, Laura "Kitty" Wells, Tampa, Fla.; two aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at St. Mary's cemetery on Monday at noon with the Rev. Milton A. Hipsley officiating.
